Teeny Weeny String Bikini [OPEN!]

Where: Indoor waterpark in the Entertainment District
What: An indoor waterpark adventure! It's like a beach episode in the middle of the winter! Basically, Nonon wanted to go with just Ryuko but suddenly more people were invited than she intended. Now the word is out, it's not longer a private date for the two, and instead filled with friends, food and swimming!

It all started with a simple text message to Ryuko. Nonon had found a bikini she wanted to wear and heard about an indoor waterpark in the Entertainment District that is heated in the wintertime. And what she had secretly hoped to be a day out between her and her sister's best friend that she might or might not be feeling some sort of unresolved tension with, suddenly grew bigger when she was told to invite Athena. Soon more and more people were invited until it was a small crowd all planning to meet up at the waterpark.




And what a park it is!

With a giant heat lamp in roof overhead it's almost like being at the beach in summer! The change of temperature as soon as you arrive is almost staggering. The heat is a nice change of pace though from the snowstorm that had hit earlier over Christmas, making it all the better reason to rip off your clothes down to your swimsuit and enjoy a day in the water!!

There is plenty to do:

Water slides!

A wave pool!

A hidden grotto with hot tubs for secret rendezvous...

Lazy river!

Deliciously fruity cocktails from the swim-up bar that are known to be deceptively alcoholic...

Some local jerk has even brought food for people to eat, or you can eat at the snack bar!

Sunbathing!

Chicken fights!

And of course, swimming with friends!

Just be careful around the little robotic crabs that move around, as the self-cleaning systems. There's rumors that if they were all to come together in one place they might form into a giant dangerous crab robot that would need to be battled, in some kind of... Crab Battle. So don't do that.

The park closes at 9:00pm, and the sun slowly turns off with sundown, so enjoy a romantic evening lit by underwater lights.

[Hinata burbles indignantly... but he eventually reemerges, coughing (guess who also swallowed water bleck) and spluttering and moving to wipe water from his eyes.]

That... doesn't count...

[He's getting out in-between gasped breaths.]

[Sorry too busy laughing and choking as he surfaces, hair in his face, more of a mess than he usually is -- which is impressive. His usual is a great show of a mess. But he holds up a hand. Hang on. One second.

He's still trying to get over the fact that he almost drowned his boyfriend with the threat of getting close to him. Jeez Hinata.]

Doesn't it? [Splutter cough giggle cough.] Because I feel like I might have defeated you.

[MAKES SUCH A FACE AT HIM and his own is bright red. He did an embarrassing thing just now ugh ugh he can never look cool in front of Komaeda. He's panting while he waits for Komaeda to get his breath back and--

Get all the giggles out, too. Hrmph.]

No, I'm pretty sure that was me defeating myself...

[Komaeda loves Hinata for being the dork he is though, so it all works out in the end. He's almost done his giggling when Hinata speaks, and then it starts up all over again.]

You definitely were my most important ally in helping me defeat you, that's true.

[Still claiming victory. However it came.]

[Mmph!!! But since Komaeda's giggling like that, he really can't sulk about his self-inflicted defeat. Jeez.]

So you're still counting it as yours...

[No victory for Hinata.]

[Komaeda catches his breath back eventually, holding out a hand towards Hinata.] I'm too opportunistic not to, I'm afraid.

[He can't just let it pass him by. His expression softens into a smile, pleased. They don't get a chance to play like the young people they should be.]

But I'm still willing to call a truce.

[Hinata gives him a wry look.]

That's pretty big of you... you sure about that?

[His hand reaches, though, his fingers curling firmly about Komaeda's hand.]

Mm! I'm definitely sure. I'm trying to be a better person after all, than I have been.

[His fingers wrap around Hinata's hand in turn and he tugs. Come closer, Hinata. Closer. Without drowning this time.]

It seems in the spirit of the party, right?

By declaring a truce in a water fight...

[Hinata shakes his head lightly (amused) but he steps closer when he's tugged. No dunking, right? They're all done that?]

But yeah, guess you're right.

[unluckless]

Of course. It's a small step, but an important one. It's important to make the best choices even in everyday moments.

[Yeah. Maybe not. Komaeda can't even keep a straight face saying it. But no, no dunking. Just. Closer is nice. That's all.

He nods happily.] I'm right, and it's nice to just enjoy the water like this too, isn't it?

[Hinata steps back into the water, pulling Komaeda with him. Deeper! They're still only at chest-height water.]

Yeah. It's different than swimming on the island... And it's nice that it's warm enough in here to get to do this.

[unluckless]

[Komaeda will follow along, deeper is fine. He'll stick closer to Hinata as they do. It's nice, really. The water is comfortable, and they're both already soaked anyway.]

It is. Even at this time of year. I haven't done anything like this in... mm! Maybe as long as I can remember!

[Komaeda didn't get invited to pool parties.]

[Hinata steps back further, shifting to float once his toes only barely graze against the floor of the pool.]

Me either. Well, I probably went to a regular pool when I was a kid, but...

[He shakes his head.] I don't remember that time well. [Still, even.]

[unluckless]

[Komaeda hesitates just a moment at that point where he feels the floor of the pool slipping out of his reach. Deeper water. Luck could go badly in deeper water right? But it should still be fine. Hinata is here.]

I still have trouble remembering things too. It all seems jumbled. [He thinks part of it is that something in him doesn't want to remember fully just yet, doesn't want to untangle the knots of it all.]

But I don't remember a pool. So let's make the most of this one.

[particularity]

[As though sensing his uncertainty, Hinata smiles at him-- a smile with confidence, ease, and he offers Komaeda one of his hands, to twine their fingers together.]

Sounds good.

[--but, remembering, huh...] I think, for me... I can't get it back. It was a miracle I was able to regain myself.

[unluckless]

[That smile. Damn that smile really. It gets Komaeda to leave so much of his fretting behind in moments like this. He reaches out for that hand, lacing their fingers together and leaving the shallower waters behind. All right. He's being brave.

Luck be damned.

He pauses though, shaking his head.] Mm-mm. Not a miracle. It was Hajime-kun's will, I think. You're that kind of stubborn. [Stubborn enough to do impossible things.] I'm really glad.

Well-- Nanami had a lot to do with that, too. I awakened to my stubbornness because of her. [With an amused smile. Nanami... It's been some time, but he misses her still.

For him, she's an irreplaceable existence, a friend who's done so much for him he can't even properly express it. He wants to see her again. He wants to do fun things with her and Komaeda. He's happy he's with Komaeda, happy they're together, but her and all of his other friends...]

But, I'm glad that you're glad.

Is that so? Then I'll have to thank Nanami-san for that.

[It really has been sometime. Komaeda misses Nanami. She did a lot for all of them, more than any of them knew at the time. It's strange, but even after everything that's happened, he thinks he wants to see her and his other classmates too.

He wants to wake up someday, in that world, to know if they can make the same choices that Hinata has. But he wants to remember this too, to hold onto these memories here with Hinata. It's important to him, wanting to hold onto these memories as precious as they are.

A laugh as he lets those thoughts slip to the background again.] Should I be glad that you're glad I'm glad?

[Sorry. He's kind of well. Hinata knows what he is and he's still here anyway. What does that say about his taste?]

I think that's getting too complicated, oi.

[Inception-level. But Hinata is snorting softly, expression lax with amusement, relaxation. He moves to give Komaeda's hair a soft flip with his fingertips before he invites him to come in deeper with him into the water.]

Let's just leave it at mine.

I suppose it's starting to become convoluted. So then we'll keep it simple for our own benefit!

[No glad-ception. Hinata is right on that one. Hinata is right on many things. It's dreadfully annoying sometimes. Except no, he adores him who is he even kidding. But he's quick to make his way through the water with Hinata.]

Besides it's more important to enjoy this party, right? I think I like pools. We should do this more often. I like swimming. [It's peaceful somehow. He likes peaceful things, especially with Hinata.]

[particularity]

[Hinata's expression warms at the words, one of his hands half-floating on the water close to Komaeda, just in case he wants to grasp it or if he starts feeling about things like luck...]

I like it too. It's been a long time since I came on my own... so I'm glad you're here. It's fun, getting to go new places with you.

[And it seems like Komaeda's not feeling any nervousness, so extra good.]

[If that hand is there, it's not like Komaeda can really resist reaching out for it. Hinata really is the only thing that's ever seemed to frighten off his luck -- a fact that Komaeda has not missed. He's too perceptive not to have noticed the drastic decrease of his luck acting up in any significant way. His luck is still around, of course, pops up often enough.

But it's been so long since anything genuinely terrible has happened. Well.

Maybe that's why he's less nervous than he ought to be as he reaches for that hand and slips his way closer to Hinata. He beams at the words.] It really is fun, doing things like this together. [A pause and then, hopefully,] It's the sort of thing couples do, right?

[particularity]

[Hinata's fingers twine with his and he grins at Komaeda, finding that beaming cute, his smile pretty as usual. Damn it. He's letting his thoughts stray off into embarrassing territory again. So when Komaeda brings up "couples", he's reddening.]

Y-- yeah... Though, usually, they don't come in a big group.

[He glances around... and leans closer.] So want to come here by ourselves, sometime?

[unluckless]

[OH man he wasn't even trying to make him blush at this point! He's just got a knack for it; it makes him oddly proud of himself though. Sorry, Hinata. So he just smiles all the more at the sight of that blushing.

And then he gets his because that's sweet. Did he just get invited on a proper date since this one is too much of a party?

Hinata is sweet. Even Komaeda's cheeks turn the faintest shade of pink. But he's quick to nod.] Mm! I'd like that a lot, coming here on our own together.

[particularity]

[Shh. Don't look at his blushing. Hinata's watching him still, his lips pursed slightly as he waits, expectant... so at least he doesn't miss out on that slight flush.]

O-- okay. [Said a little too loudly, pleased.] Then we will, another time.
