( He waits a moment, making sure this isn't some sort of trick from a certain invisible sword or two that is taking advantage of this situation. When nothing happens, he gets up and opens the door slowly just a crack, peeking to see who's there. When he sees who it is, he opens the door wider and grins, )

Zoro-san! What brings ya here?

[he's probably not expecting Zoro to just stand there and stare, open-mouthed.

He can hear Mutsu clearly, and the door pretty much just opened by itself, but he can't see any sign of the guy. It takes a second for him to pick his jaw up from the floor, but then he's looking around the room beyond the doorway - looking for anyone.]

Mutsu? Is that you?

( What is happening??? )

Yeah?

Where are you?

[seriously, don't hide behind the door. Except it's wide open so. WHERE ARE YOOOUU]

Are you guys having weird shit happen to you, too?

... !

( he waves a hand up close to Zoro's face. )

Yeah, yeah! Are ya having a hard time seeing people too? 'M right in front of ya!

[not even flinching on his non-blind side.]

People, no. I can see people fine, it's just my swords are invisible, so I wanted to see if other swords...

[oh.

OH.]

...shit.

( "Oh" indeed because Mutsu's figured it out too. Maybe it's a good thing Zoro can't see him right now because he sure as heck is covering his mouth to hide the biggest smile ever. If anything, he certainly sounds amused? )

So ya can't see any swords?

( Spirits included? THIS IS REALLY AMUSING SORRY... )

[huff huff grumble]

I wanted to test it out. You guys have all your swords, if I couldn't see any of them then I could confirm it. I didn't think that would include you.

[awkwardly ruffling a hand through his hair. It's as dumb talking to thin air as it is holding invisible swords in his hands.]

Mind if I come in anyway? I need to sit down and let this sink in.

Yeah, come in!

( And he steps... well off to the side so Zoro can pass. )

And I wouldn't worry about not being able to see us... a lotta people normally wouldn't be able to, ya know? ( Being spirits that were contained to their swords for so long. ) I can get my sword for ya though if ya wanna make sure!

[at least he's good with sounds, and can tell the way is clear to go sit on the couch. It's pretty obvious from the way he goes to move his swords to let him sit, and misses them on the first grab, that he can't see them even if they're tied to him.]

Yeah, sure. Might as well test it out anyway.

( He can see Zoro's swords so watching him grasp at thin air makes him raise a brow. What on earth is going on? )

I'll be right back...! ( And Zoro will hear Mutsu's footsteps as he patters towards a nearby bedroom, opens the door, and rushes back out. He stops in front of Zoro, opting to sit on the ground (he isn't a huge fan of sofas unless he's sleeping on them) and sets his sword down on the coffee table between them. ) Anything?

[he hears the telltale clatter, all right, the soft metallic sound of the tsuba coming to rest on a hard surface. But no, nothing. Zoro sits forward and stretches out a hand, hovering over it a bit as if unsure whether he has permission to touch, but it's all he has. Fingers twitching, he finally bumps into the saya and knows it's really there.]

Nothing. So it's definitely swords.

[he'll be gentle with your vessel, Mutsu, don't worry. Just a light brush of his fingers before withdrawing.]

( He sits up a little straighter when Zoro reaches for the sword. It's not so much that Mutsu minds to an extent-- Zoro is a friend and a responsible swordsman but... it's still a very important piece of him. But so is being able to see and hold a sword for Zoro, right?

He holds his breath at the unfamiliar touch and watches quietly. )

... Are ya okay? I know ya can't see me but... ya can still hear me and I can still hear ya if ya wanna talk.

[he sits back, huffing a sigh]

I'm fine. Just frustrated. I don't get why I'm suddenly not able to see swords...or people who are swords, apparently.

[he can definitely talk to Mutsu, though, even if it's weird. Like being actually blind. Except...wait.

It hadn't been an issue when it was objects he couldn't see, but if it's extending to people now, he can do something about that. Closing his good eye, he lets his senses clear so he can use haki. Aha! There's a Mutsu-shaped aura sitting across the table, on the floor. It makes him smirk a bit.]

Maybe it's just my eye, after all.

( He doesn't know what Zoro just did but he still gives a nod to show that he's listening at the very least, )

Lemme guess... started a couple of days ago, right?

Yeah. [he keeps his eye closed for a bit, focusing on knowing exactly where Mutsu is sitting] I couldn't find my swords, I thought someone took 'em. Turns out they're just invisible.

Anything weird like that happen here?

( He nods his head yes. )

A couple of days ago, I started having a hard time seeing too. Just little things at first! Now I can't see Kashuu or Nagasone-san... or Tatsuma-san. ( Frowning, ) And Haru-san and the others... they're always cold and they're startin`... startin` to disappear.

( Which is just as troubling as not being able to see his friends if not more. Sure, he might not have been able to see them but at least he knew they were still around! Disappearing... sounded a lot worse. )

Disappear? [urk. Shit. Yeah that does sound bad. His eye snaps open at that.] Are they okay?

But you can't see people, either. Can you sense them, at least? Or hear 'em or something?

So far?! ( He doesn't really know. All he knows is what he's been told by them. ) Obviously it's weird... ( For lack of a better word. )

I can still hear 'em! And I guess... sense 'em in a way. ( In that way you can sense someone is in the same room, moving things around. It's not like he can see auras or anything like that. ) It's only Nagasone, Kashuu, and Tatsuma-san, though... Dunno why it's just them.

Or why ya can't see swords either... or why anything's happening.

[well good, he doesn't want anything bad to happen to Haru. He likes the guy.]

Me neither. But other people are saying the same, too, not being able to find stuff. There's just no sense to it - we're all missing totally different things. I don't get it.

( Nothing is allowed to happen to Haru! As if any of his spirits would let anything happen to him. )

Nakigitsune and Nagasone-san are having a hard time hearing too...

Ya know, it's really weird! Most of us are just really cold and disappearing but the three of us got something different! It doesn't make sense.

Huh. Hearing and sight.

[there might be something there. But he can't figure out how cold and disappearing works into that. Now that he can sense Mutsu, he knows better where to look in order to talk in his general direction.]

Who knows. This place is weird enough as it is, maybe it just decided to get weirder. As long as I'm not going totally blind...I mean, when it comes to people I can use haki to find them, but I can't do that with the swords.

( Everythign else seems so random without knowing the connection... But Zoro says something that confuses him and he tilts his head, )

Haki?

Mm. I can sense people - their spirit. I can sense you, right now, I don't need eyes to see you. But just people, and the stronger they are, the better.

... Sitting up a little straighter now. )

Ya can see how strong people are?

( WHAT DO YOU SEE, ZORO... SHOULD HE BE CONCERNED ABOUT HIS OWN STRENGTH RIGHT NOW. )
