Who: All the good people participating in the Blind Date Event

What: Blind dates galore!
Warnings/Rating: Pg-13 for at least language, I'm sure, and also bars/nightclubs are involved. Will be changed/updated as necessary. Please let me know if anything needs to be added here!

[You've got a location, you've got a time, you've got a mission: Date. It's as simple as that! Sure you have no idea who you're about to meet, but there is definitely no harm in trusting the expert skills of a 12 year old girl! [ her ideals match up so snugly against his own that he doesn't want to waste time. as much as he appreciates that girl for setting this up -- what he suggested sounds like something more comfortable than sitting awkwardly in a restaurant. ]

[Wait, hang on, that's completely unexpected, bringing a flush to Peko's cheeks. Hadn't she come along just looking to practice for an eventual date with Kuzuryuu? She definitely hadn't intended to meet up with someone related to Tenka, let alone someone he had trained to hold ideals similar to hers.

...It would be fine to forego practice this time, right? This is practice of another kind... or, rather, the kind of experience of doing something for herself, without Kuzuryuu's permission or approval, that is really what she needs practice with the most.]

Y-yes, I would... like that.

[And, decision made, she rises to her feet. Alrighty then, so much for the restaurant. She'll apologize to Mabel later, though even this seems like something the younger girl would approve of.]

[Well, Maya definitely hasn't put half as much thought into this. When she'd found out she'd been roped into a blind date (sigh, Pearl), she'd decided just to have fun with it. Luckily for Maya, she works at a cosplay cafe, so finding an adorable outfit on short notice isn't difficult.]

[...Her boss might not be too pleased, though.]

[Regardless, Maya enters the restaurant looking particularly cute and wearing her best gimme-a-tip smile. And immediately gets distracted by the smells of food. Lee might not be ready for a new romance, but Maya certainly is ready for a romantic night.... with the menu.]

Oooh, Italian, huh? I could go for spaghetti and an emergency breadstick supply!

[(At this rate, actually getting to the table is going to be a while... though she's got her badge on for easy identification)]

Katsura is quite the opposite. This was a fun event, but as usual, he is taking everything seriously as possible. So he, one the other hand, is dressed up nicely, the same thing he wore at the ball. His hair was tied up into a ponytail this time, and he had a bouquet of flowers.

He was already disgusted at the choice of the date. God, he worked around burgers. This was the last place he wanted to be at, but.. he couldn't keep whoever his date was waiting. He was already a bit late.

Once he is inside, he's looking around for the colored badge and after surveying the room he finally spots the person he was paired with and ... oh. He remembers this guy! Didn't he break into his house once?

Zura has to think for a moment to make sure because there are many houses he has broken into and so.. he approaches the table meekly. ]}

Ah.

Roy-san, did you ever fix the window I used? If I re-call, it squeaks when somebody breaks in.

[The way Ryouga wrinkles his nose implies that he isn't thrilled that she still wants to pursue this. Still… it's not like he has anything better to do, and the food shouldn't be too bad (he doesn't smell anything like onions or peppers, so it shouldn't be gross).]

[People keep bowing to her, and she keeps...not bowing back. Instead, she smiles in reply. One of these days, she'd wrap her mind around the idea of bowing, but that would not be today.

She wasn't expecting him to be wearing a suit (since the tips had said casual dates meant casual clothes, right?) but she'd known someone who went to the shooting range in a suit. If he wanted to wear one, it wasn't her place to judge.]

I have never played, but I have read as much as I could about it. [She looks briefly towards the bowling alley before turning back to him and tilting her head.]

I can teach you, if you'd like.

[No, wait, why is he leaving money... no actual services were rendered, and Peko had zero intent of leaving anything. He is just like Tenka, isn't he? In being overly courteous... then again, she has no idea of Tenka would actually do something like this, or if that's just how she'd like to think of him.

In either case, while she won't argue to Soramaru leaving money, she certainly isn't leaving any of her own. Even if she feels bad since he's paying for a date they didn't actually have. Introducing swordplay has removed it from the realm of what she imagines a normal date to be, after all!]

Very well. Would you prefer I retrieve my shinai from home, and meet you somewhere? Or are blades fine?

[She doesn't know his skill level, after all, and with how dangerous this colony can be, she's stopped carrying her shinai everywhere in exchange for the katana Katsura had gotten her for Christmas. Also:]

Either way, Lee looks up as he hears someone talking, possibly after some manner of run-in with Weiss, and the first thing he notices her is her badge! His badge has already been found, so he just gawks at her for a moment, with a light blush forming on his cheeks. She is a cute person, at the very least!

He hurries over towards her and looks on in concern.]

Good... good evening, Miss!! Ah... [He squints at her badge.] 'Maya-san'! My name is Rock Lee. I am Konoha's Beautiful Green Wild Beast...!

[He pumps a fist in the air.]

And, I am your partner for this blind dating exercise!! Did you say that there is an emergency?! I will fight any danger for you!

[He wouldn't have come today except that it was Mabel and he couldn't very well tell her to stuff it like he would have said if it was any of the other swords. He can't help that he has a bit of a soft spot for kids, but he sure as hell isn't going to say it out loud or look like he means to have fun. At the very least there's food here and that's something Dotanuki can get behind.

He has on the peach badge, arms crossed, and is dressed in a plain black kimono with a grey obi. He would have come in his usual armor and fighting clothes, but Mabel said no, so he had to change. Rather than look for his "date," however, his eyes are mainly on the food stalls all around them. It has a lot of stuff he's never tried before, and the smells of it are making him want to leave the assigned waiting spot.

But a mission is a mission, so he's there, waiting.

Even if his stomach is growling.]

[ Sadly Cyrus is having much the same thoughts and is admittedly kind of pissed at whoever signed him up. He can't begin to imagine who would do that though, given who he knows and all. Either way he is wearing a typical outfit, maybe a bit fancier than he normally would. He doesn't like dating, never even did it before today, so he really doesn't know the etiquette behind it. He managed to buy some chocolates for whoever it is he's meeting. Hopefully it's not a guy because he'd be awkward, even more so than he already is, about that.

So when Cyrus comes into the place his frown is slightly reduced but he doesn't really look all too enthused to be here. He does have flowers and chocolates at least?! But when he spots Nonon and sees her tag identical to his own he'll come over. ]

Looks like you got dragged into this whole blind date thing too, huh?

[ Cyrus is probably garnering stares from everyone because of his chocolates and flowers but also his robotic limbs. Ah he hates this sort of thing...people should just take pictures, they last longer. ]

AUH-

I- I did?!

How? [He swallows, apparently a bit panicked.] If there is anything that I, the man Gongenzaka, can do to make up for that... [...Like appearing 'not scary', or anything...]

[Myriam had considered no-showing, but then this was technically one of her employees running the thing (even if she couldn't admit it), and it would give her an excuse to wear that black dress she wore for Nonon's formal performance again]

[It took her some badge-checking before she realized...

[At first, Edgeworth was unsure of what to do. But he couldn't say no to Mabel, so he reluctantly decides to go through with this blind date thing and hopes that he finds a person he can tolerate. Hopefully Mabel knows what she's doing. Besides, he owes her for saving his bacon when they both got zapped into ViViD.

So, not long after Ai arrives at Froyo, Edgeworth does the same, clad in his usual suit and cravat, bringing nothing, not even a single rose, since he was doing this more out of obligation than anything. The badge is pinned to his lapel...a blue badge. At least it stands out from his wine-red ensemble. He is quick to notice the same badge worn by a young woman outside Froyo...ah. He approaches her tentatively, eyes flicking from one side to another as if checking that yes, she would be his "date" for today.]

Good morning, Miss Ai Thao. [He settles for greeting her properly first - formally, a touch stiltedly.] I'm Miles Edgeworth. [The badge says as much - okay, it just says "Mr. Edgeworth" - but he thinks it's more polite to do the introduction than to let the badge say it all.]

_{[Yuto flinches involuntary at the contact, then gives Shingetsu a look. Don't attack him with hugs from behinds!]}

Shingetsu...

_{[In any case, seeing Shingestu here is quite a surprise. Yuto sighs a little at the question as he looks away.]}

I didn't. I don't know who signed me up for this...

_{[Wait, "too"? He once again looks at the other. Don't tell him that--]}

...Are you the person I'm supposed to meet here?

[He should smile. Kevin, if not Uriel, is the smiling type. Except that the whole situation is too surrealistic for smiles. And the music is giving him a headache.]

Kevin Cecil, sir! [He shouts over the din while dodging a couple who is dancing in the most horrifically lewd fashion.] It is a pleasure to meet you!

[No, it really isn't. And the very thought of pleasure associated with this situation makes him blush like a red tomato. God, he should search for a table for them before he gets knocked off the dancing floor.]

[ Well, that was certainly a show, Nagasone mused in his head. This person certainly was lively, if not strange. A galatic patroller? Like in space? That was something he didn't hear everyday. Granted, being from the 1800 originally, space wasn't all that talked about in his parts. ]

That's right. After that introduction I feel like I owe you more than that. [ He said with a little laugh ]

I'm Nagasone Kotetsu, sword of the captain of the Shinsengumi. It's good to meet you too. To be honest, I don't really know either, but it looks like we were put up to having a date or something. Maybe that little girl did all of this.

[ He wouldn't even know why, but he'll roll with it anyway. ]

[ Her mouth opens when she sees the badge marking him as her date. This is going to be a trainwreck, and she knows it. But there's one little thing that he did that already catches her attention. Like hell does she care about robotic limbs, but...

Chocolates.

She just snatches them out of his hands and goes to start eating them, before she even says hello. ]

An idiot signed me up. An idiot that I will have to see that he learns the errors of his ways, likely with my foot on his face.

[ Obviously, Nonon is not an easy girl to get along with. ] ...So who are you?

_{[Well, looking scary and talking loudly is what scared him at first, but Ruca is not going to say that. Instead he shakes his head after a moment.]}

N-no, don't worry about it... I just.. get startled easily.

_{[That's true actually.]}

...I apologize.

[Leon's a couple minutes late, but only a couple; he's not going to keep a date waiting. Rude! But time had gotten away from him a little while he was getting ready, and here we are, sliiightly after the scheduled time.

He's never been here, of course. Moreover, he's never been anywhere like here. This is so Western . . . But he feels at ease at once, to his relief. The atmosphere's good and comfortable in a sort of alien way. (A literally alien way, but that's beside the point.) And the nice thing about having a reservation is that he doesn't have to feel awkward about trying to figure out where to sit or shouting for a "Trucy" in this crowd; the hostess just asks for his name and then leads him back into the forest of booths.

That twelve-year-old really deserved a gift basket or something for setting all this up.

Leon follows the waitress through the aisles, taking in all of the decor and sneaking peeks at people's food as they pass the (many) occupied tables. That's so much food! Man, this's gonna cost me . . . looks good, though. Who eats that much beef at once? Probably not girls, right? They're idle thoughts as he keeps his eye out for booths with lone girls sitting at them, assuming she'd gotten here first.

Hope she's cute . . .

He's not dressed up fancy or anything; it's just not him, and while he wants to impress his date, he's pretty sure he'd end up looking kinda stupid if he tried doing it by dressing up totally differently. But he is put together more carefully and less casually than usual. Hopefully that'll be enough for the mysterious Trucy.]

[Labrador was sort of thinking that his date would probably be a girl since that would be the default setup, wouldn't it? Not that he minded whether his date was male or female, it just wasn't something he thought about.

He soon spotted the person with a badge that matched his and hurried over. He smiled brightly when he saw it was someone he knew. Then he laughed.]

Hello, Rasu! This certainly is a nice coincidence! I hope you aren't disappointed though.

[Yes, this is....not working. Sousei opens his mouth as if to respond, considers the music and general din, and frowns vaguely, before shaking his head. He doesn't think they're obligated to stay here, and--even if they are, he really, really doesn't care.]

Come on. Let's go elsewhere; it is too loud to converse in here.

[A beat. What he adds is said more quietly, so it may not be audible:]

Besides, the music is irritating.

[He's not really going to wait for agreement or permission, either; he turns on his heel immediately to lead the way out. Sorry Mabel.]

[ Rasu fiddled with a mesh on his sweater, cheeks tinting a little toward the red side. ]

N-no, of course not.

[ Now... what were they supposed to do? Was he supposed to give him the flowers and chocolate now? It would be weird for him not too, right?

So with tense shoulders he all but shoved them into Labrador's chest. ]

I-it's- it's vegan.

[Seeing the bouquet does help to reassure her worry of 'maybe I'm talking to the wrong person', even though she can tell they have matching badges. Lapis just doesn't deal well in new situations.

But at least she gives him a smile in return, peeking at the ~~evidence~~ badge once it's presented to her.]

... Nice to meet you too, Phoenix. And it looks like it is... [How does she date. How does this work. Then she remembers that she has something in her hands, so she'll be offering him one small box of chocolates.]

Um, here you go. I made these myself, but I think they turned out okay. [Luckily Lapis is a perfectionist, so they won't taste awful.]

Even so, if I, the man Gongenzaka, was creating such an impression, fault still falls upon me as well! Most particularly given what you were likely expecting to encounter here.
