Today is the big day to put your mouth where your money is! Or something like that. Welcome to the first ever (??) Charity Event! Remember that it isn’t about winning, it’s about making the world you’re in now a better place until you leave!

Signups are still a thing, so hop on in! Spectators are welcomed! Voting for events will be hosted in this post, where comments will be screened.

[ Team Raid Bosses??? That's... not the name she would have suggested, but who cares. She's transformed and ready to duke it out, no matter who her opponent is. ]

Alright, which one of ya bozos wants to go down first?!



(( OOC NOTE: Our team decided that we're just gonna go nuts and tag out of order or thread some encounters one-on-one with the occasional interference or partner swaps. Seems easier and more unpredictable than trying to keep it organised. Hope that's ok! Having said that, feel free to throw anyone at her!! ))

[He shrugs, giving off his normal sigh.]

You and I have a bit of unfinished business, don't we? Which is to say, neither of us went all out the last time. So right now, I promise this. [Wow, he's odd serious.] I'll force you to unleash everything you have if you want to win.

[dishonorstudent]

Hmph.

If ya wanna have it your way, just do me a favour, yeah? Don't let your girlfriend fight your battles.

[ She won't let Rin punch her again if Archer gets hurt. ]

[swordboning]

I get the feeling nothing here is permanent. Whoever dies will return to the real world perfectly intact. And if it comes to that, I'll make sure she doesn't see me in such a state.

Is that good enough for you?

Killing me ain't supposed to be easy in the real world either. [ It may seem like she's bragging, but her tone suggests that she resents that part of herself. ViViD, real world, Kamui, Goku uniform, naked... it's all the same to her. This fight will end the same way again, which will only scare her friends and remind Athena of things she had lost.

Still, she's a warrior who doesn't back down easily, and Archer is probably the same. She learned that much from their last encounter. ]

Let's just get on with it.

[swordboning]

You'll just have to slow down a moment.

[Archer got his mental permission from Rin. Yes, he was talking big but he could have been rejected right there. But since he wasn't...

...he reached up to the thread the tied his cloak around his neck and pulled it off, tossing every red bit of his outfit aside. That cloak, or shroud to be more specific, was made to suppress magic. Archer, for whatever reason, was always fighting with essentially his hands tied behind his back. Now all he had left was his armor and pants, his arms completely bare.]

Now I'm ready.

[dishonorstudent]

You idiot are gonna fight me without a sword? Thanks for makin' this easy!

[ In true Ryuko fashion, she rushes with her scissor blade head first with no plan whatsoever, probably making an idiot of herself more than him. Thank god there's Senketsu here to do the thinking for the both of them when the time comes. ]

[swordboning]

[Thankfully, his sword creation speed for his preferred dual swords was nearly instant. Of course, he was expecting her to be a bit smarter about things. Maybe she just had to feel the pressure before she started to think.

Nope, no pressure involved in practically spinning his swords around in his hands and knocking that odd weapon aside.

Yes, he is looking totally disappointed right now.]

[ It looks like Archer is just playing around as well judging from that lazy knock. Is he giving her another chance to attack? A smarter fighter would back down and see what Archer does next, but Ryuko never put much stock in careful strategy when in battle. She has beaten brainiacs before and, let's face it, being utterly incomprehensible is just her thing!

Still, she's not completely without any aces up her sleeves, and she circles Archer after that initial knock to bring her blade upon him once again. ]

[swordboning]

[He just frowns in response. And massive swords drop straight down from the air, forming a wall between the two. Nah, he doesn't even care if she's in the way.]

Are you trying to make me mad?

[dishonorstudent]

[ After she steps back to avoid the swords, she knocks them aside to remove the barrier between them. However, this time she just stands in place, shooting him a glare in return. ]

Are you just gonna stand there makin' faces at me?


(( Senketsu: Ryuko, his ability to create swords appears limitless. Unlike him, we need to make use of our time. )) -- Don't worry, I don't intend on stickin' around here all day.

[swordboning]

Are you getting intimidated?

[He shakes his head and jumps back, flinging his two short swords at Ryuko, making two more in his hands.]

I am the bone of my sword.

Heh.

[ She won't even dignify that with an answer. People who rely on intimidation tactics or think they have it all figured out are her favourite opponents to beat.

At least he's finally responding with more attacks, but Ryuko knows he can summon more swords than that. He did so in the climax of their last encounter. When the blades come flying, she dodges the first one as she repels the other with her sword. ]

Don't insult me, old man! [ She says so as her deflection seems to leave her open for a second. ]

[swordboning]

The only thing insulting you is your lack of skill.

[He only continues making the distance between the two greater, dispelling his swords and creating his bow. And with a flick of his wrist, he shoots out three arrows, continuing with his aria.]

Steel is my body and fire is my blood.

[dishonorstudent]

Don't knock what you can't comprehend--

[ She has dealt with Archer long enough that she can tune out his attempts to get under her skin, much like Nui's taunts about killing her dad. It's just noise to her now, because she knows her own strength, and being nearly killed by Archer has made her stronger thanks to the Life Fibers within her.

And so, she significantly boosts her speed, wildly circling all over the arena as she creates afterimages of herself. After the shots were fired, she begins to close the distance between them again. ]

[He starts to focus a bit more, pushing magic into his legs and jumping straight up, twisting slightly in the air. Mostly to bring his bow into play straight down, dozens of arrows flying out and twisting mid-air, their path more serpentine completely intent on hitting every image of Ryuko that's visible.]

I have created over a thousand blades.

[dishonorstudent]

[ As the arrows come down on their targets, one of them seems to pierce Ryuko through the throat, causing her to immediately stop moving while all the other images are no longer visible. It appears as if the real Ryuko had been hit, until she also vanishes like a mirage and appears mid-air behind Archer. Something else she learned while fighting Nui Harime.

Once she's in range, she aims to slash him in the back. ]

[swordboning]

Tch...

[He's forced to twist and block with his bow. Which was a dangerous prospect. Unlike his other weapons, his bow wasn't a Noble Phantasm, it was simply built to handle firing them. He only had one saving grace. Which was to push his bow off her incoming sword and let all four of his previous swords that he had thrown come straight back at the spot he just left as they swirled back to their owner.]

Unknown to Death, Nor known to Life.

[At least things were a lot more interesting now. Planning in advance was becoming worth it.]

Haaa--!!!

[ His forced reaction wasn't unexpected, and as her sword is deflected by his bow, Ryuko throws a piece of Archer's red cloak towards his face. It appears she, too, had been formulating a plan while she was circling the arena at full speed.

Following that, whether the shroud creates a blind spot or not, she curls up her fist and moves in to punch him, full-force! Archer's swords may be back, but that's no reason to quit pressing with the offensive for now. ]

[Honestly, he had been expecting a sword thrust through the cloak. Which meant his timing was quite a bit off. Rather than being able to block again, he had to simply absorb it and find himself slamming into the ground. He wasn't going to let a followup happen, even if his swords were out of his control at this moment. Instead, he rolled along the ground and hopped again, trying to give himself a little bit of distance, pelting his own landing point with more arrows.]

Have withstood pain to create many weapons.

[dishonorstudent]

[ Since she's not currently in flight mode, she allows gravity to bring her down on the ground, landing firmly on her feet as her heels click, not unlike the Kiryuin's. He's been chanting this stupid thing for a while now... ]

Withstood my punch, huh? Not bad.

[ A normal human would have lost their head by now, but she knows her opponent is more than that. ]

[swordboning]

[If she won't make a move, he doesn't see a need either. Instead, he just dispels his bow and holds out his hand.]

For someone like me, who can turn a 1% chance of victory into a 99% chance, surviving is fairly simple.

[Shrugging.]

Yet, those hands will never hold anything.

Hate to tell ya, but numbers don't mean crap when it comes to Senketsu and I! Now you gonna come fight me like a man or just make me chase ya all over this damn game!?

Who knows if you'll regret those words. But take heart in the fact that I'm going to show you my true ability.

[Which, as a spell, Ryuko probably wasn't familiar with. But with a ring of fire surrounding them, they were translated elsewhere. Namely, Archer's inner world, a desolate hill in a wasteland that he stood upon, the area filled with swords. An uncountable number of them. The air was filled with the refuse of a forge, the gears in the sky and horizon spinning to fuel it.]

This is my world.
