[open] i am sixteen going on seventeen

a.) i want to play a game (text)

[After the heavy damage and loss, Leia's practically made it a routine to help out where she can: the school and the apartments especially. She knows how important the Residential District is, though she'd be lying if she didn't spend her fair share of time at the Game Center, too.

On the seventh, it's no different, though she finds a slightly different way to help than the usual.]

hey!! （‐＾▽＾‐） wow, everyone's been working so hard lately... look how far we've come! don't forget to rest. if u need a break, stop by the gardens this afternoon for a surprise!

it's also my birthday, if youre into that sort of thing.. but you'll have to find me first (○ゝω・○)ﾉﾟ+.☆ see you there!

b.) it's a trap! (action)

[For those intrigued enough to come, or even just passing by, they'll find that the gardens aren't quite as pretty as they were before. Nevertheless, the amount of collaborative work so far is obvious. New flowers are budding, pathways repaired, and it's all good enough for Leia. She doesn't need anything elaborate like Natalia's party was; this will do.

A long picnic table is set up, and on top of it is food. Three large pizzas with various toppings, all kinds of flavored chips and dips to go with them, and at the center of it all, a mysterious cake that doesn't actually say anything about her birthday. Predictably it's chocolate, with your standard frosting, decorative flowers, and only two words on its face: "Almost There." Next to the cake is a large knife for cutting it, as well as paper plates, plastic utensils, and a small note propped up like a name tag.]

[. . . but where is she? Feel free to set off to find her, or simply mingle among yourselves and enjoy the free eats.]

c.) where's waldo? (action)

[Deeper into the garden (but not too deep), it won't actually take too long to find Leia; it might just take a little effort. If your character is the type to look high, they might spot her in a tree (don't be surprised if she falls out of it); or for others who want to stick to the ground, they might notice a fast-moving shadow move behind a tree, or a rustling of leaves behind one, if it's particularly big.

If she knows you, she might just might pop up in front of you to yell "BOO," just for kicks. So much for the chase.

Be creative! Or let me make shit up as I go. Your choice. Either way, any characters taking this option will receive a little something for their troubles.]

d.) walking on the wild side (any)

[Anything goes! I'm very flexible and open. You can catch Leia as she's setting up the table(s), or assume she returns to the table(s) after most of the food is gone, etc. if either of those options appeal more to you.]

(( ooc: just a note that leia probably won't be able to reply to option b! it's mostly for mingling purposes if you want it. ♥ ))

[This is pretty much the cutest text ever, and she doesn't even know it's from someone so young. She laughs quietly from her hiding place: a seat on a large branch, coming off an equally large tree.]

Are you sure? It just seems really rude to not get you anything for your birthday! That just means I need to really think about what to get you!

Patamon's my partner! When you see him, he's this really cute and squishy flying Digmon! He said that he wants to meet you too!

But be careful! He also said that he can find you a lot faster!

So that's what you look like! That makes finding you a lot easier!

But don't worry, I'll be careful, Leia-san! If anything happens, I have Patamon with me!

[And with that, off they went! Of course, it took them a little while to get to said garden but that's okay! At least they finally figured out what present to give!

Although, by the time they got to the garden, Takeru just gave a pout to Patamon before he kept his eyes wide open to look for the mysterious young girl!]

...Hm...if I were Leia-san, where would I be?

[The gardens have been peacefully quiet; almost too much so. She's just walking back up to her picnic table set up to make sure there's still enough food, when she spots the little boy with what looks like a plushie in his hand.

...Only it's responsive and talkative. Is it like Teepo?

She waits at first, studying what he might do, but she realizes she can't let someone that young wander the garden by himself. Innocently, she walks out into his line of sight, and when their eyes meet, she jumps like it was an accident.]

Takeru? Oh no!

[SPOTTED.]

[In midst of his searching, he gave a pout. While he thought he was pretty good at hide and seek, this place was really big! How in the world was Takeru going to find her? Even with Patamon flying around and looking for her, there wasn't anything!

Although, he wasn't disappointed that he couldn’t find her. He just hoped that his present for her won't die off by the time he found her. After all, after looking around at the flower shop, he just hoped at some sunflowers would make her happy!

But then he suddenly saw her in front of his eyes! With that, he immediately pointed straight at her!]

Ah-ha, I finally found you! I knew that you would hide somewhere nearby! [He gave a chuckle] But I guess you didn’t expect me to show up so quickly huh?

[Well, that's the end of that. There's no way she can even fake being upset now, so she just smiles, nodding to agree. It certainly was a little unexpected, in more ways than he's thinking.]

Someone must've given you great directions.

It's nice to meet you in person! [She leans over a bit to close their height gap. . . . And she'll reach out to pet Patamon.

(Are those sunflowers?)]

It wasn't easy though, Patamon and I got lost a lot! I didn't know where I was going and I thought I was never going to get here! And I didn't want to miss the birthday cake!

[The moment that Leia did got down to his level though? Oh right, the flowers! While she was busy petting Patamon, he quickly gave the sunflowers straight to her!]

But here you go! I didn't know what kind of present you would like but I hope you like it! The owner said that it didn't cost a lot of money for some flowers but...I hope that it will make you happy!

[That's a distraction if there ever was one, so she leaves Patamon alone for now in favor of her gift! She gasps, studying the sunflowers with an ever-widening smile.]

It does! It really does! You guys are amazing.

See? It even goes with my jacket.

[She proudly holds the sunflowers up to her very yellow jacket. Takeru chose well!]

[With that, Takeru had to give a chuckle]

Yeah, it really does! I didn't even realize it matched your jacket! I thought it would be good because everyone likes sunflowers! I know my mom likes it a lot!

[Even if it gives him allergies all the time!]

But I’m just glad you liked it! Because it feels like it might not be good enough! I wish I could have gotten you something better since it’s your birthday!

[Immediately, she'll shake her head, and pat him over his hat.]

Don't even worry about it. This is perfect.

[She looks around briefly, eyes flickering, and when she doesn't notice anyone else, she'll continue.]

Are you hungry? There's a whole lot of food, and it looks like you get to pick first.

[While he gave a small frown at first, he quickly changed it over to a giggle when she patted his head]

Well if you say so! I just know my mom always said that to be polite no matter what!

[But just then? His eyes quickly widen! Yay free food!]

Really? I get to choose first? Then how about some ice cream? I would love that! And maybe you can share it with Patamon and me too!

I-Ice cream?

[Oh, man. Why is he asking for the one thing she doesn't have? Though, it'd be easy to just take him to get some, so there's that . . .]

I'm sorry. I don't have a freezer or anything, so I couldn't bring any ice cream with me. It would have all melted!

If you want, I can buy you some though.

[The moment he heard that, he scratched the side of his head. Oh dear, that was a pretty rude thing to say wasn't it? Quick, Takeru, say something else!

Be really polite on her birthday!!]

T-That's okay, you don't need to do that! I didn't know you didn't have ice cream, we can just share some birthday cake or whatever snacks you have! But you get to have the first bite of whatever you want to eat!

It's your birthday so you get the first of everything!

[Admittedly, cake seems like a damn good alternative. Still, she feels like she owes this kid some ice cream now, and she'll definitely remember it. She cheers up a little at his positive attitude--

She wishes she could have that effect on people.]

We'll see. The cake I picked out is pretty great, so who knows if someone hasn't helped themselves already?

Let's find out.

Then we better hurry, we don't want any cake thief to come over and take it! Because the first bite of the cake should always to the birthday person! That's just now it is!

[With that, he suddenly an idea!]

But don't worry, Leia-san! Takeru Takaishi and Patamon will be on the case! If there is a thief that stole a part of the cake, I'm pretty sure we can find it!

[...Or they could just ask really]

[Or they could ask. She laughs as she leads them over to the tables.]

That sounds like fun, but I don't know if I can really call it thieving when I made it a point to invite everyone.

I believe in you guys though. If anyone can find someone like that, it's you.

By the way, do you like chocolate?

I'll still keep an eye out anyway Patamon and I are really good at finding evil Digimon so maybe this will be the same too! If we find anything bad, we'll let you know!

[Not that he really wants to find any thieves around here but it never hurts to be prepared!]

Of course, I like chocolate! Who doesn't? [Giggles] Why do you ask?

[She feels safer already! She grins, answering him easily.]

That's the flavor of cake I chose!

[When they're close enough, Leia lifts the cover off the cake. Seems like it has been touched, but it looks no less delicious. Already, she grabs at the knife close by to cut them some slices.]
