a.) i want to play a game (text)
- [After the heavy damage and loss, Leia's practically made it a routine to help out where she can: the school and the apartments especially. She knows how important the Residential District is, though she'd be lying if she didn't spend her fair share of time at the Game Center, too.
On the seventh, it's no different, though she finds a slightly different way to help than the usual.]
hey!! (‐^▽^‐) wow, everyone's been working so hard lately... look how far we've come! don't forget to rest. if u need a break, stop by the gardens this afternoon for a surprise!
it's also my birthday, if youre into that sort of thing.. but you'll have to find me first (○ゝω・○)ノ゚+.☆ see you there!
- leia ☆
b.) it's a trap! (action)
- [For those intrigued enough to come, or even just passing by, they'll find that the gardens aren't quite as pretty as they were before. Nevertheless, the amount of collaborative work so far is obvious. New flowers are budding, pathways repaired, and it's all good enough for Leia. She doesn't need anything elaborate like Natalia's party was; this will do.
A long picnic table is set up, and on top of it is food. Three large pizzas with various toppings, all kinds of flavored chips and dips to go with them, and at the center of it all, a mysterious cake that doesn't actually say anything about her birthday. Predictably it's chocolate, with your standard frosting, decorative flowers, and only two words on its face: "Almost There." Next to the cake is a large knife for cutting it, as well as paper plates, plastic utensils, and a small note propped up like a name tag.]
[. . . but where is she? Feel free to set off to find her, or simply mingle among yourselves and enjoy the free eats.]
c.) where's waldo? (action)
- [Deeper into the garden (but not too deep), it won't actually take too long to find Leia; it might just take a little effort. If your character is the type to look high, they might spot her in a tree (don't be surprised if she falls out of it); or for others who want to stick to the ground, they might notice a fast-moving shadow move behind a tree, or a rustling of leaves behind one, if it's particularly big.
If she knows you, she might just might pop up in front of you to yell "BOO," just for kicks. So much for the chase.
Be creative! Or let me make shit up as I go. Your choice. Either way, any characters taking this option will receive a little something for their troubles.]
d.) walking on the wild side (any)
- [Anything goes! I'm very flexible and open. You can catch Leia as she's setting up the table(s), or assume she returns to the table(s) after most of the food is gone, etc. if either of those options appeal more to you.]
(( ooc: just a note that leia probably won't be able to reply to option b! it's mostly for mingling purposes if you want it. ♥ ))

Hinata's carrying something underneath one of his arms as he skeptically makes his way deeper into the gardens, looking around as he goes. It hasn't occurred to him to look up so far.
It's when he thinks he sees a shadow that he startles, looks around with wide eyes. And he mutters, vaguely discontent,] Oi...
no subject
The "oi" is familiar . . .
She lets him look around like he's lost for a little while longer, waiting until he gets close enough before stepping out.]
Boo!

It's your birthday today? Why didn't you so sooner, now I need to get you something, miss! I can't go to a party without a gift for you!
...What do you like?
[...Girls like flowers right?]
no subject
awww, thats okay! ♥♥ you don't need to get me anything, hehe (▰˘v˘▰) that's not why i mentioned it!
[Though to be fair, she does like flowers.]
with evveryone working so hard i thought i'd do something fun, yknow? ー( ´ ▽ ` )ノ do you like games??
no subject
Are you sure? It just seems really rude to not get you anything for your birthday! That just means I need to really think about what to get you!
[But flowers cost money! Does he have enough though? Hmmmmmm....he will think of something eventually! However as of right now though?]
Of course, I love them! What kind of game do you want to play?

ah well, thoughts are what count! at around noon, he'll be walking through the gardens in search of the birthday girl herself. where oh where can she be? no really, this is the right spot isn't it? flynn stops and glances around, eyes scanning the area high and low for that familiar face.]
no subject
with the surprise giving her that slight boost in adrenaline, he might hear a light gasp right before she dashes behind a nearby tree--a particularly large one.
whoever it is, they're here early... did they see the table she set up?]

b, c
[Predictably, the birthday cake is chocolate (it was there, so he took a bite) and decorated with motivational words. But the baked goods are not what he came here for in the first place. Lowering the plastic fork, he scans the area and then stops the nearest person.]
Hey. Have you seen Leia?
C
[As it turns out, Leia is nowhere to be seen in the immediate vicinity of the picnic tables. IV heads deeper into the gardens in hopes of searching her out, pace brisk and strides long. He turns his head left to right and back for a blur of yellow or the familiar bob of a black hat. He finds his attention frequently wandering to the nearest fountain.]
1/2
That said, the running fountain does do a good job of hiding noises that would give her away, like footsteps, leaves rustling, etc. It's just a shame that it works both ways, so when IV passes the fountain, she doesn't notice him coming from up in the nearby tree where she's sitting.]
IV . . . !
[Looking up from her notebook, she's surprised to see him so close (where did he come from?)--but her voice is barely above a whisper, and she smiles, perking up nonetheless.]

She cringes, looking away as she closes her eyes because what if it lands--]

Leia? I know you're here. [Benefit of being a Jedi, thanks.] I've got a gift for you.
no subject
It makes her uneasy: someone knows her name, yet she can't say the same. When she peeks out from behind the tree where she's been lurking, though, it comes back to her.]
Leia?!
[Or, wait. Princess Leia. No, Mrs. Solo. Mrs. Organa? Mrs. Organa-Solo! That was it. ...Too late, alas.
She approaches her slowly at first, eyes wide.]

Who makes others look for them on their own birthday?
(( Senketsu: Are you sure you're not just nervous about your cookies? ))
It ain't late to turn back, is it?
(( Senketsu: Ryuko! ))
I know, just kidding...
no subject
Where was she? Settled comfortably in a rather tall tree.
She may hear some leaves rustling as her aerial artes soften her landing. She approaches casually, disappearing her staff; she won't need it. ]

Uh, wait--what do you mean we have to find you? You already said you're in the garden.

LEIA-SAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNN!!!
[And then that mass is slamming blindly into a tree.]
no subject
She hadn't expected anyone to go slamming into any trees.]
Wh-Whoa--!
[Nope. Alas, her flailing and trying to regain her balance only makes it worse--
She falls, and while she's quick enough to pull out her staff for her artes, the ground comes too quickly. Shooting a burst of air at the ground, at least she's able to crashland next to Lee and not on him . . . or his presents.]
