[ Welcome to the Little Sister Cosplay Cafe! Athena's rented the whole place (thanks for paying, Phoenix!) to celebrate her birthday, so there's a big signage outside in chalk which reads "De-stress party! Come inside!" So basically, anybody who checks the network should know what it means.

Upon entering, one will spot a bright yellow dessert buffet table, decorated with all sorts of yummy goodies that you can think of! It's a cafe, after all. The desserts are good.

When Athena spots you, she'll immediately bow and say "Welcome to the Little Sister!" and despite this being her party, you may find that she's the only one still in cosplay. Of course she can't ask her other coworkers to get dressed and serve anybody who comes by - they need some de-stressing, too! So it's just her as everybody's waitress and hostess for the day.

By one of the corners is a karaoke machine, and each table already has a menu on top of it. Feel free to order whatever you want! There's a wide selection of American, Italian, and Japanese cuisine, as well as some French desserts - although some are already laid out at the buffet table.

[Rei sets down the bag and reaches to squeeze Athena's wrist.]

Happy birthday, my dear new friend.

[psycholawgy]

[ she waves a hand dismissively. ]

You make it sound like we only just met yesterday.

[ a beat. ]

I'm glad you could make it.

[faithfulflame]

Didn't we? Who are you again?

[Rei laughs lightly and shoves the bag over.]

I promised you I'd come and give you a better gift than any old snack cake. We all got you something together.

[We obviously referring to the sailor suited guardians of justice ]

[psycholawgy]

[ omg rude?? she shoves rei roughly, because athena doesn't know how to be gentle. what a brute. ]

Oh, quit it! [ her tone is jolly, though. ] What'd you get me?

[ she checks the bag! ]

[faithfulflame]

[Rei laughs and shoves back a bit.]

Greedy! Why don't you open it?

[Inside the bag is another bag! Surrounding the smaller one though, is a small pile of cushioning snack cakes. Twinkies.

And the smaller bag itself? Is wrapped up tight around something soft.]

[ she sees the twinkies, but the priority is the smaller bag! opening that now! ]

[Inside that is a purse. With a book and an envelope sticking out. The book is a Psychology book, and inside the envelope is a coupon. For a kimono, bought and paid for. It just needs tailoring.]

The purse is from Minako-chan. The book from Ami-chan. And...I didn't have your measurements.

Oh wow! Thank you guys!

[ she nods excitedly, putting the items back in the bag. ]

A purse and a book about psychology, too! This is so great! I'm sure Simon would like me in a kimono, too!

[ that weab. ]

I'm sure he will.

[Rei reaches for Athena's hand, giving it a squeeze.]

I'll go with you when we have it tailored. I could use a new one, and it may as well match yours. And then the tailor won't try and stiff you either.

[psycholawgy]

[ athena squeezes rei's hand back, even swinging their hands together a bit. ]

Can we also go with Ryuko? It'd be great if all three got matching kimonos.

[faithfulflame]

Of course we can. That sounds like a good afternoon plan.

[She casts a sidelong look at Ryuko from across the room]

She has a nice one already, but another never hurt anyone.

[psycholawgy]

Yeah, it doesn't.

[ that does make her wonder, though... ]

Do people in Japan have a lot of kimonos, or are do people own just a few, like gowns?

[faithfulflame]

That depends on the person, really.

[Still squeezing just a bit, she curls her hand around Athena's ]

They're something some people wear a lot, like a dress or a blouse, and some only on specific occasions. I wear them often, but...Ryuko-chan probably doesn't. It just depends on your preferences. It's normal clothing, after all.

[psycholawgy]

Hmmm. . .

Maybe I'll get Ryuko something else, instead.

[ there's a hint of sadness when she says it, and widget even turns dark blue. ]

[Rei blinks at that, and looks right into Athena's eyes for a half second.]

Why? [Then something hits her.]

Oh! Right. I forgot. You probably don't know what that means. [It makes her laugh.]

Sorry. You should. Because giving a friend a kimono has a lot of meaning. It's like...wishing them well. It brings good luck, to both of you. It's like a mark of true friendship. Or...it was in the past. So if you do that, it'd be very well received I think.

[And that probably adds an extra layer of meaning to her own gift.]

[psycholawgy]

Well, we kind of... yelled at each other the other day. But I think that everything's fine, [ an awkward pause. ] now.

[ athena's smile is so fake. so, so fake. ]

[faithfulflame]

What? Why?

[Rei's not buying any of your snake oil.]

What happened?

[psycholawgy]

We had an argument over whether or not to trust the elemental spirits.

[ she shrugs her shoulders. ]

I just don't like holding grudges, you know? And Ryuko doesn't seem to be the same type of person.

[faithfulflame]

[Rei's eyebrow lifts. She's already said her piece on that. She won't say it again.]

I doubt it. Or she wouldn't be here.

[psycholawgy]

Maybe I'm overthinking it, huh?

[faithfulflame]

That is entirely possible, yes. Though, you should talk to her, and not just assume based on my word.

[psycholawgy]

I don't really want to bring it up again.

[faithfulflame]

Which is dancing around an argument. I won't tell you that you have to, but...you should.

[Rei tugs Athena's hand and flashes a smile.]

And it's not important today. So. Tell me, what's your favorite dessert here?

In here?

[ she pulls away from rei to poke at her earring. ]

I like the chocolate cake with marshmallow icing a lot. I bring it home when there's extra stock and nobody else wants it.
