[ So while you're walking about, enjoying or hating your day, you will encounter a dog. This dog will, as adorable corgis do, perform one of the following feats:

a.) Steal whatever you're holding for a game of Keep Away. Don't think that being tall will save you, he's got quite the spring in his hind legs.

b.) Drop whatever thing he's picked up (ball, wadded up paper, someone's high heel) and wait expectantly for you to play fetch with him.

c.) Bark. And roll over. This means love him.

d.) Trip you. It's probably unintentional.

Whatever he does, at least you'll hear two voices (familiar or not) clamoring in the distance for "Zweeeeeeeeeeeeeei!" and then Yang and Ruby will be heading in your direction at high speed.

Whatever you do, don't grab the dog and run. They may not know who you are, but they will find you. And they will kill you.

Or at least make you regret it. ]

[She pauses in her steps as soon as she hears the dog bark, and... Who could refuse to pet an animal as cute as this one? So she bends down with a smile to scratch at his belly gently.

It's then that she hears the yells and sees the two young women heading her way.]

Oh, does this dog belong to you?

[undaunts]

[That is the correct answer to a dog as cute as that one, and Ruby's grinning because of it as she approaches.]

Yep! That's Zwei--he likes you a lot, eheh! That's a good thing.

[flaredo]

I think we're just lucky so many people here love dogs... or we'd be doing a lot more running.

[bloodbiter]

He's certainly friendly. It's hard to imagine anyone who wouldn't like him.

[standing up a bit, ending the belly scratches for now.]

His name is Zwei? That's an interesting name. Where did you purchase him?

[undaunts]

I mean, there was the girl with the fangs...

[... Shrug! Everything's fine now!]

Um... well, our dad got him... I'm not sure where though. Do you know, Yang?

[flaredo]

That's a secret known only to Dad, sadly. Probably because he thought we'd run off and come home with a whole wagon full of puppies...

[ Which isn't wrong, really. ]

[bloodbiter]

A girl with fangs? [that's concerning.] Are you both quite alright?

Oh! I didn't realize you could bring animals from home. That's interesting.

[a short pause.]

You two must be sisters, then.

[undaunts]

Yep, we're fine.

[That's said so casually, even as she shrugs. They've dealt with worse than fangs in their time.]

That's right! Yang's my big sister--oh, and I'm Ruby. Ruby Rose! It's nice to meet you, miss.

[flaredo]

What she said! [ With a smile of her own. ]

The pets tagging along with you is kind of a gamble, though. You never know if they will or not.

[bloodbiter]

I see. I'm glad to here that you're both fine, and it's lovely that you two have each other here as well. Oh - but pardon my poor manners. My name is Adelina, and it's my pleasure to meet the two of you.

[reaching down to pick zwei up.]

Here you are. I'm certain you wouldn't want him to run away again, after all.

[undaunts]

[Ruby just accepts Zwei into her arms, giggling as he licks her face, and then turns her attention back to their new friend.]

Adelina... nice to meet you! Have you been here very long?

[flaredo]

I don't think I've seen you around before... or maybe we haven't gotten out as much as we used to.

[ Nah, that can't be it. ]

[bloodbiter]

No, there are people who have been here much longer than I have. If I'm correct, I arrived around three weeks ago. I imagine that's why we haven't met yet.

How long have the two of you been here?

[undaunts]

Oh... nice to meet you, then! Er, and welcome!

[This is a terrible place to be welcomed to, Ruby.]

It's been uh...a lot of months for me. But it's been even longer for Yang!

Yep! More than half a year.
