[ So while you're walking about, enjoying or hating your day, you will encounter a dog. This dog will, as adorable corgis do, perform one of the following feats:

a.) Steal whatever you're holding for a game of Keep Away. Don't think that being tall will save you, he's got quite the spring in his hind legs.

b.) Drop whatever thing he's picked up (ball, wadded up paper, someone's high heel) and wait expectantly for you to play fetch with him.

c.) Bark. And roll over. This means love him.

d.) Trip you. It's probably unintentional.

Whatever he does, at least you'll hear two voices (familiar or not) clamoring in the distance for "Zweeeeeeeeeeeeeei!" and then Yang and Ruby will be heading in your direction at high speed.

Whatever you do, don't grab the dog and run. They may not know who you are, but they will find you. And they will kill you.

Or at least make you regret it. ]

[There are many Really Important Things to focus on, really, but poor, poor Hiro. At least Zwei will go fetch said can before he settles down for scritches. Scritches are important.

As for Ruby, well... she speeds up when she realizes that Zwei knocked someone down, because:]

Hey, Zweiiii, I thought we agreed to stop the tripping thi-- oh, Hiro!

[It's like...instant brightening up.]

[ Yang will just pause to scoop up the notebook, grinning as she catches sight of Hiro and notes her sister's immediate reaction. ]

She means 'hi'. That's what she meant.

[zerotohiro]

[He doesn't seem to mind that Yang's got his notebook since it's just a bunch of notes and blueprints for improving Baymax's battery life, and he's absently petting Zwei even when the dog fetches and sets down his energy drink. He makes no moves to get up, but he's on the ground with Zwei and he smiles up at Ruby even while he's addressing Yang.]

Yeah...I know. [There's a slight tone of fondness there because it's true. He knows how to read Ruby at this point and maybe it's silly but it's nice all the same. He shakes his head suddenly though to refocus on both girls, even if he's still loving on Zwei.] Does he always just run away from you guys like this and wander on his own or what?

[undaunts]

[Yeah Ruby's just going to shove at Yang embarrassedly.]

Yang! Shhhh!

[STOP EMBARRASSING HER........

A-ahem.]

Well, it's kind of a long story, involving a fire escape and a shoe salesbot...

[flaredo]

Even our adorable dog gets a bad case of the wanderlust... [ RESTING AN ELBOW ON HER SISTER'S HEAD, how dare you shove!! ]

[Sometimes watching the two of them reminds him a lot of what he and Tadashi used to be like. It's both nice and sort of sad all at once. Still, he laughs at that.]

I can't say I blame him. This place starts to get boring when you stay in one spot for too long. You're gonna have to tell me this story about the fire escape later though. [There's a weird twitch to his lips when he says the word "fire", not something one would normally find out of the ordinary but considering the circumstances from a few days ago it's hard to ignore it.] I can't imagine what he used to do when you guys were busy at school and he had the whole campus to himself.

[undaunts]

[Yeah, she sees it. It's okay, she's just trying really hard to not laugh about it too--even as she groans at Yang, trying to squirm away.]

Who knows-- guh, Yang, get off!--though sometimes I'd just bring him along! He's good in a pinch, you know?

[flaredo]

Well, he used to stay with our dad, but then when Dad shipped him off to us... well, a certain somebody might've just stuck him in her backpack, yeah.

[ BOTH ARMS ON RUBY'S HEAD NOW. ]

[Ah, sisterly love. At least Yang doesn't have the capability to throw Ruby over her shoulder and dangle her upside down like certain older siblings…]

Wait, is that the same time you were stuck without Crescent Rose and you ran into a bunch of bad guys? [He vaguely remembers that story. He looks at Zwei one more time.] And isn't he kinda big to fit in a backpack? He's a corgi.

[undaunts]

[... are you sure, Hiro. Are you really sure about that.

... But oh right.]

Yep, that's the one!

[As for Zwei--]

Depends on the backpack, right? He fit pretty good in the one I had. And it's not like I was using it for anything else.

[flaredo]

[ There's a thoughtful pause-- and yeah no Hiro, Yang could totally do that. ]

We're just lucky we got the professor who really likes dogs.

[zerotohiro]

I'd say you're lucky Zwei didn't get hurt but I think he could probably defend himself in the wild better than I could. [He's eyeing Zwei almost critically.] Have you guys ever taken him inside ViViD? I bet we could program a doggie obstacle course or something for him to burn off energy. Plus it'd be a new environment with every new game.

[undaunts]

Pffffhahaha nahhhh. Zwei wouldn't get hurt.

[He's Zwei. Someday you'll understand, Hiro. Someday.]

I bet he'd like that though, right, Zwei?

[The dog barks, bouncing in place happily.]

[flaredo]

He'd love that. Not that he doesn't run around enough as it is... [ Well, he has to keep up with the sisters. ]

[zerotohiro]

[He finally gets off of the ground, contemplating for a moment and it's clear he's already generating new ideas.] I could probably build that. There's a show back home where these people have to go through a ton of courses like over bridges and water and rope climbing and vaulting and all kinds of stuff. It shouldn't be that hard to replicate something like that in ViViD to give Zwei some exercise.

[And he's scooping up said dog into his arms, though Zwei's probably a little too big for him to really carry.] Or I could make it dog-and-human ready if you guys were up for a challenge, too.

[undaunts]

I'm always up for a challenge.

[Ruby being Ruby, as per usual.]

And so's Zwei! Sooo... let's do it, Hiro!

What she said. We'll do things as a family!

[ The weirdest family ever. ]

[At least they're enthusiastic. Here, one of you please take the dog, he's still a little awkward to hold.]

Guess I know what my next project is. Speaking of? Tadashi wanted me to ask you two when we're doing our thing. [Let's just leave that vague as hell, but he assumes at least Ruby will understand he means the ViViD match against their siblings.]

[undaunts]

[Ruby will totally take the dog, she loves the dog.]

Yes! Yeaaaaah! Yesssss!

[Okay, Ruby.]

We're ready whenever too, Hiro, so... maybe like--nowish? Before Cerealia goes all crazy again, I mean.

[flaredo]

... Wait, what thing again? [ What?? ]

[zerotohiro]

[He cuts a look at Ruby with a short little smile.] Think we should tell her? Tadashi kinda already knows.

[undaunts]

Yeah! We thought we should do a tag-team practice fight...thing...in ViViD! It'd be fun, and we have four people, so it could be two on two!

[Casually pressganging the older siblings into this.]

[flaredo]

... I see. Were you gonna split up the olders and the youngers?

[zerotohiro]

Well it makes more sense to even the odds if me and Ruby are a team and you and Tadashi are a team. You're probably strong enough for the both of you anyway. [Ah, yes, buttering up Yang in hopes to win points.] Plus Ruby and I make a good team anyway, right?

[undaunts]

Right!

[Ruby is entirely unsurprised that Yang caught on to the plan immediately.

So she elbows her.]
