[ So while you're walking about, enjoying or hating your day, you will encounter a dog. This dog will, as adorable corgis do, perform one of the following feats:

a.) Steal whatever you're holding for a game of Keep Away. Don't think that being tall will save you, he's got quite the spring in his hind legs.

b.) Drop whatever thing he's picked up (ball, wadded up paper, someone's high heel) and wait expectantly for you to play fetch with him.

c.) Bark. And roll over. This means love him.

d.) Trip you. It's probably unintentional.

Whatever he does, at least you'll hear two voices (familiar or not) clamoring in the distance for "Zweeeeeeeeeeeeeei!" and then Yang and Ruby will be heading in your direction at high speed.

Whatever you do, don't grab the dog and run. They may not know who you are, but they will find you. And they will kill you.

Or at least make you regret it. ]

Why is he stealing people's lunches anyway? Don't you feed him?

Of course we do!

[She's frowning here, arms crossed.]

He can even feed himself! Zwei, why did you do that?

[He just wags his tail at Ruby.]

You know-- or maybe you don't... how dogs are! They eat a ton but if something smells good, they'll want to eat that too.

[ Truth. Gospel truth. ]

[scenting]

I think I know a thing or two about how dogs are.

[ except then she doesn't explain?? malia pls. ]

But you two totally owe me a new lunch so. Yeah.

[undaunts]

... So let's go get lunch!

[EASY.]

We haven't eaten yet so. That's fine, right, Yang?

[flaredo]

Sure! We'll make it a party.

[ Poor Malia. ]

[scenting]

oh god, suddenly she's going out to lunch with people. this is not what she had planned. ]

But didn't you say that you wanted us to pay you back for your lunch?

[SO OBVIOUSLY... this is what they're doing.]

And we're hungry! So why not just do it all at once?

[ It makes sense. ]

[ she can't argue with that logic despite the GREAT NEED to do so. so she just. groans and nods. ]

[ okay be polite, malia. to ruby: ]

I saw you in the jungle but I don't remember your name. [ and to yang: ] I don't know you either. [ and back to both! ] I'm Malia.

You tossed that bird really hard when we met, it was pretty cool.

We met in the jungle and I threw a bird. Then stuff happened and I left.

[ casually shrugs??? malia's so mean whoops.

but okay yeah, she's going to just follow them along then if they're going somewhere, for all her complaining. ]

Can we get something with meat?

What kind of meat? Like... hamburgers? Or hot dogs or--
