[ So while you're walking about, enjoying or hating your day, you will encounter a dog. This dog will, as adorable corgis do, perform one of the following feats:

a.) Steal whatever you're holding for a game of Keep Away. Don't think that being tall will save you, he's got quite the spring in his hind legs.

b.) Drop whatever thing he's picked up (ball, wadded up paper, someone's high heel) and wait expectantly for you to play fetch with him.

c.) Bark. And roll over. This means love him.

d.) Trip you. It's probably unintentional.

Whatever he does, at least you'll hear two voices (familiar or not) clamoring in the distance for "Zweeeeeeeeeeeeeei!" and then Yang and Ruby will be heading in your direction at high speed.

Whatever you do, don't grab the dog and run. They may not know who you are, but they will find you. And they will kill you.

Or at least make you regret it. ]

[repede lets out a firm bark, which causes yuri to look down at him with a bit of a snort.]

I think he wants to meet any other dogs first before he decides. [he just wants to be... top dog...]

That's fair.

[Ruby, too, would want to meet the others first before anything like that.]

But that means we need a meeting in general anyway, so that's a yes for doggy pow-wow one!

Lemme know when you wanna meet Garrett, and I'll have Hawke bring him around. He's really friendly!

[ruby's so excited... which seems around right, honestly. yuri's a bit more neutral to things, but it probably can't hurt much. probably.]

Heavy, huh. Guess he's a big dog, then?

[Ruby's just shrugging over here; she doesn't know him, so it's all on Yang.

Instead, she's going to focus on Repede, planting her hands on her knees to get down on his level (which is admittedly not hard, Ruby is short) and grin at him.

Sup, Repede?

If you made your dog about... a foot taller, that's Garrett.

All right, big dog he must be, then.

[granted, repede's not the biggest dog, but he's big enough, that's for sure. it probably means they won't be the best of friends, but... well, they can worry about that when the time comes.

for now, repede's content to give a couple of barks at ruby (friendly ones, naturally) before sniffing around to see what's up with her. he will gracious accept head pats and chin scratches and bellu rubs, though.]

... Careful, Yuri. She's going to wind up liking your dog more than she likes you.

Wouldn't be the first time that's happened.

[he knows repede is cool. repede knows he's cool too, and he's totally okay with ruby acknowledging this.

...which is why he backs up to be a total show-off.]

...Trying to impress the ladies huh, Repede?

Repede is so cool, Yuri! You two are so... cool and suave together, you know? Like, you totally match!

Wait, does that mean he can backflip like that too??

Not like that, but I'm pretty flexible.

Ruby, not everyone can be as cool as their dogs...

But Yuri's cool! He totally has the cool and suave look down!

I mean, he's still cool-- just not as cool as Repede.

[ is her stance, and she's sticking to it. ]

Looks like you win this round, Repede. I just can't beat that kind of cool.

[naturally, he barks happily. they don't even know how cool he is. he can snowboard! he wears sunglasses sometimes! he's too cool, really.]

[Ruby just seems kind of bummed out over that... she was in your corner, Yuri!!! She really thought you could do backflips!!!]

Huh...

[Oh well.]

Can Repede do any other tricks? Zwei can...sit! Oh, and shake, and speak!

And open cans with a can opener.

He can also roll over. We were trying to get him to open rolling cans with a can opener while rolling, but he can't really get the timing right.

Sounds like he's a pup of many talents.

[he's not going to deny it, even if he thinks repede's more impressive in some ways. which... yuri's willing to display.]

Whaddya say, Repede? Wanna show 'em what you can do? [not that he needs to even ask. yuri's already backstepping and drawing his sword; repede is flipping and drawing the dagger he keeps sheathed... and almost immediately chaining a set of arts that yuri deflects with well timed guard.

demon dog, victory light spear, hell hound. it's quite the arsenal for a dog.]

... Cooooool.

[Yep, Ruby also thinks that Repede is the coolest, though she won't knock Zwei out of the running either just yet because. Corgi bias.]

Look, Yang! Repede's a combat dog too! That's so cool!

Whoa! He could probably take out a whole group of monsters on his own!

[ SO COOL... ]

[with the moveset finished, repede will do a victorious flip, spinning the dagger around before he re-sheaths it. he's so proud of himself, and yuri's pretty cool with it too.]

He's a tough pup. If I let him be, he probably would take out a bunch on his own. He covers things pretty well when the rest of us can't.
