[sunbaths]

Who: Will Solace sunbaths & You!
When: Various
Where: The local park/gardens.
What: Will has taken up his job as a performing artist in the park. He's playing his guitar to people and singing. He totally takes requests- if he knows them, anyway.
Rating/Warning: None atm.

(Will has never actually performed for anyone but his friends before. Singing at the camp was a lot different than what he was about to do but he wasn't too nervous. When he arrives at the park is the only time he gets a little bit wary. There's a lot of faces he doesn't know and for the most part, demigods really shouldn't draw too much attention to themselves. He was still adjusting to the fact that technology was now a thing that could be apart of his life without taking his life apart. This wasn't home though and that meant he could relax a bit.

The kid didn't even bother dressing up in anything fancy for performing. A pair of ripped up jeans that have absolutely seen better days, some flipflops, and a tank top he found for cheap at one of the local stores that declares SUN'S OUT, GUNS OUT with a small cartoon sun flexing his muscles. The guitar he has with him is actually from home and looks well-worn and loved with a multicolored strap. He picks a spot off in front of some flowers and sits himself down. He forgets about the whole money thing because seriously, he sucks at this, and just kind of starts playing.

He mostly plays cover songs on his acoustic guitar. Every now and then, he'll even sing in a smooth, swaying voice to give some of the songs their lyrics instead of just going purely instrumental. And of course, he'll take a break occasionally. And hey, who knows, he might even take requests!

OOC | Since Will's a book character, there's no canon for his voice but I usually go with this guy but feel free to headcanon whatever kind of singing he might do.

[Nico makes a little urk noise of surprise when Will hugs him, but before he can say anything about it, Will is already letting him go. A flicker of irritation goes across his face at the shake, followed by a roll of his eyes at the other's insistence his mom would like him. Then he gives Will a slightly suspicious look but he does take one of the demigod's hands to get to his feet, Cerberus jumping up next to them.] Decided you're done for the day?

[sunbaths]

(Will snorts at Nico, rolling his eyes.) No, idiot, I'm trying to make you dance with me.

[zombiedude]

[Nico's eyes widen and he takes a few steps back, pulling his hands free.] Oh no. Absolutely not. Out in public? No way.

[sunbaths]

(Will notices the absence of cool hands before anything else. He tips his head to the side, crossing his arms over his chest.)

There's, like, no one around.

(He gives a pointed stare around before focusing on Nico. His eyes brighten then.)

Wait, are you saying if we were alone you'd dance with me?

[zombiedude]

I... [He really wants to say of course I wouldn't but... he knows that would be a lie. So instead he just looks at the ground, cheeks turning red, and mutters an answer instead.] ... Maybe.

[sunbaths]

(Will taps his foot against the ground and considers Nico for a moment. Then he looks over his shoulder and truth be told, he wouldn't really want to dance out in the public either. Not with Nico anyway.

He bends down to scoop his guitar up and slings it over his shoulder.)

Y'know, I don't think I ever showed you my apartment. Not properly anyway.

[zombiedude]

[Nico gives him a look that's the equivalent of uh huh and I know exactly what you're doing.] What's 'properly' supposed to mean?

[sunbaths]

(Will stares Nico down and raises both of his brows.)

It means hanging out so I can bother you for a while. And maybe sneak in a dance.

[zombiedude]

Good luck with that. [He mutters it dryly. Maybe doesn't mean a definite yes, Solace. But that said...] I wouldn't mind hanging out.

[sunbaths]

(Maybe not but Will liked to look on the bright side of life.)

Yeah? (Dancing or not, Will really is excited to hear that Nico would want to hang out with him.)

All right, cool. Cerberus can come in, I don't mind. Were you doing anything out? Or were you just watching me play?

[zombiedude]

[He's had more than enough of alway being by himself here.

Nico shakes his head in answer to Will's question.] I was just taking Cerberus out for a walk.

[sunbaths]

Great then.

(Then that meant he wasn't disturbing any of Nico's plans. He was used to Nico never being around much back home due to the other demigod's busy schedule. He gives Nico a bit of a nod and takes off, expecting the boy to follow him.)

[zombiedude]

[With a murmur to Cerberus to follow, Nico falls into step after Will, quickening his pace a bit until they're walking side by side.]

[sunbaths]

(It doesn't take long at all for them to wind up back at the apartment complex they both live in. Being near Nico was nice and Will had kept to his word about leaving him alone for the most part after he had figured out that Nico was in good shape.

He unlocks his apartment door and steps aside to let Nico in first. His place is almost completely barren which isn't much of a surprise considering how long he's been around.)

Don't make yourself too comfortable, man. I've got expectations here. Do you want something to eat or drink?

[zombiedude]

[Nico rolls his eyes as he steps inside, Cerberus wandering in and immediately sniffing the place out.] I wouldn't mind some water.

[sunbaths]

(Will sets his guitar down by the door and wanders off to get Nico a glass of water. He brings out a rather horrendous looking mug that kind of looked like it had the sun painted on it. That or it was a flower. Or a lion. Maybe just a bad paint job. Either way, it's handed off to Nico.)

[zombiedude]

[Nico just kind of stares at the mug for a moment before lifting his eyes up to Will, as if saying seriously? He takes the mug though and takes a little sip anyway.] Thanks.

[sunbaths]

(Will gives him a deadpan look right back as if to say As if you wouldn't have a black mug. He smirks a bit afterwards and shrugs.) No problem, Death Boy. More than happy to get some water in you and some color on you. Or at least near you. Lookit that.

[zombiedude]

[Rolling his eyes again, shut up, Will.] I've gotten color on me. [He insistently points this out.] And I don't wear black all the time. [Just... a lot of the time, but whatever, it helps him merge into the shadows better and he likes it.]

[sunbaths]

Oooooh, right. I forgot about that gorgeous tropical piece you were wearing the last time I saw you.

(He reaches out to pinch up the material of Nico's shirt and gives it a very pointed tug.)

Of all the times I've seen you, you have. It's not a bad thing. I just can't tell if you actually like the color black or if you think you need to wear it because of who you are and whatever.

[zombiedude]

Never. Speak. Of. That. Again. It was only because my other shirt had gotten ripped to shreds by a werewolf. It wasn't by choice.

I like it. But... purple is actually my favorite color. Black just kind of goes with everything and blends in with the dark.

[sunbaths]

I'm not saying anything baaad. You totally worked it.

(Hey, Will had been dressed head to toe in black that time too. Oh the irony.)

Purple? (He blinks in surprise at this, mouthing the word.) Huh. Okay, yeah, I could see that. Purple's a nice color.

(He considers that for a moment and eventually, Will's eyes get a bit of a glint to them.)

What color's good for blending in with the light?

[zombiedude]

Not black. [Pointed look, yes, he's referring to when you were wearing all black and didn't cover your bright yellow hair.] White, I guess. Probably different shades of yellow too.

[sunbaths]

Wow, I feel so attacked for some reason. (He's giving a pointed look right back and lifts a finger to shove it accusingly at Nico's chest.) I look great in black.

Eugh. White? (Nico was right but- man.) What if I started wearing all white? Just white shirts and pants and everything.

[zombiedude]

I didn't say you didn't.

[He looks at Will as if to say why in the world are you asking me about colors for clothing? Like I have any idea?] If that's what you want to do...?
