[ This is the greeting given by the birthday girl. Ai's face is aglow with cheerfulness that couldn't be beat as she welcomes guests inside the Sanctuary where some nice music is playing. It's the most convenient place to set up a small party after all and there's even a few things to do for fun if one isn't sticking around just for congratulatory birthday greetings:

A) FOOD

Where there is Ai Thao, there is food. Lots of it. Starring a peach birthday cake made by the Man, the Legend, Chef Archer. Aside from those, there are some Vietnamese spring rolls, roasted meat, some healthy salads, and colorful cookies and drinks! (Hey, did someone bring hard cider to this party...???)

Ai might even collect your plates and clean up after you isn't she nice? Oh, that's not Ai, it's a robot who's taken on the same skin tone as her owner... Creepy. Ah well, at least it's being helpful although it might say every once and a while, "Thank you for coming to my birthday party!"

B) Piñatas

How cute, there's a few of these cute piñatas hanging around in the ceiling. When you try to bat one down for the sweet candy innards though, they are just out of your reach. Ai Thao (real one, not the similar looking skin robot) giggles because she's passing by you. Ah, she's the culprit. Those guys can't move on their own after all.

"Sorry, sorry! I couldn't help it."

Oh, so that's all... Actually hey wait, some of those piñatas ARE trying to run away?! Try to catch one, but these little bastards are pretty fast for cardboard full of candy.

C) KARAOKE

There is a TV screen, mics, a karaoke box and an endless selection of pop music in all languages. All of them. Try to belt out those tunes, serenade your loved one, get the highest score, no one's going home a winner anyways.

(Ai's robot is sitting at the machine and taking the mic, humming in a voice that sounds too similar for comfort...)

D) Late Evening

Let's settle down. Maybe chat and catch up with other people. It's a good a time as any right? The lights are low, the cake's been served, there's hot tea (and booze still???) and there's a lovely lamp projecting stars onto the walls. What a nice mood!

(It might make your robots, should they come to the party look rather eerie though, especially since they developed that layer of skin.)

[Edgeworth is not one for karaoke or piñatas. Instead, he's just here to be polite and give Ai her gift (a gift certificate at one of the upscale ice cream parlors and some fruity tea leaves), and now he's here chilling out with hot tea and a slice of cake.

Okay, he's not completely chilling out. Any robots are met with a scrutinizing, suspicious stare because he's on the lookout for anything that could happen with these things that aren't just creepy. The lamp DOES make for some good effects, though.

Bother him? Introduce your robots to him?]

[It's been a long day, but Ai is doing her best to make the rounds and say hi to people she may not have greeted properly. Egdeworth is one of those people and she walks up to him, with a hot drink in her hands, nodding at him in recognition.]

Good evening Mr. Edgeworth. Did you have your fill of food yet?

[prosecutory]

Good evening, Miss Ai. [He nods, smiling at her and not really minding that she wasn't able to greet him properly. On top of the party, she DID have a robot to deal with.] I've eaten, thank you. [Quite a bit, but he's no pig.]

How have you been?

[ Unfortunately for literally everyone, Saiduq's robot is activated and following him around, so when Edgeworth scrutinizes it, he thinks he's scrutinizing him instead. Well, one certainly couldn't blame the prosecutor, but... ]

...Is there something you require of me?

[Well, we all know who is supervising the cake. And we all know who gets the biggest portion so hogging it is entirely banned.

Spoiler: That person is Ai. No matter who else is celebrating.

Still, Archer is here with a knife, being the server. What a not good guy.]

The cake looks delicious!

[Ai bounces over to Archer, happy as can be.]

[ Adolf, mistrustful of robot companions that he is, has wisely refrained from activating his own bot... which means that he's just beginning to realize what would have happened if he had, with Ai's double meandering around and happily announcing 'her' birthday.

It's a special brand of disconcerting when Ai-bot moves over to him and extends her hands for his empty plate. He shakes his head to indicate that he doesn't need the help, but it's still... standing there expectantly?! To be fair, he's from a future where technology is a fact of life, but still. This isn't exactly what he'd consider good or normal.

So, when he sees Ai Prime (hopefully) out of the corner of his eye, he calls out for her quietly: ]

...You won't leave me alone. [ ha ha ]

Ah... Sorry, sorry.

[Ai gently takes the robot by the shoulders to redirect it elsewhere which it thankfully does. It's transformation hasn't gone unnoticed by her and she wonders what else it's been picking up the past few days.

Ai looks up at Adolf, beaming, putting the initial concern aside.]

Thank you for coming Adolf!

C)

[Don't mind Hiro as he's flipping through the song selection on TV with the remote in hand. It felt like a while since he's sung a few tunes, so this was the perfect opportunity. Thankfully, no one is getting drunk to high heaven this time around! Casually flipping around a mic in his other hand, he hums to himself before calling someone or anyone out.]

Okieeeee dooookieeee! Anyone wanna go a few rounds? I've got some decent vocal chords, y'know.

[Being the competitive fiery spirit that he was, he'll take on anyone. Doesn't matter if they completely suck or if they've been singing in a choir for years.]

D)

[With the party coming to a close, Hiro is idly sitting down with a cup of tea in hand. He's not sure who came up with the starry lamp idea, but it was all very pretty. Yet it was also somewhat haunting in a sense. It was just reminded Hiro of certain events back home... It was a rather complex feeling since he had to deal with alien stars literally trying to kill off humanity. Every star out there was a potential enemy for him, after all.

He's looking much more quiet subdued compared to how he usually acts in public. It was quiet and peaceful enough for him to collect his thoughts. If anyone approaches him, he certainly won't turn down conversation.]

d for disaster

[Surprisingly, Ai hadn't bumped into Hiro that much during the beginning of the party. She was busy going around, saying hello to everyone, thanking them, enjoying food and festivities. The party's come to an end and now it's mostly calm. She's caught one of the stray pinatas in her arms and Ai stops when she sees Hiro sitting own. She hugs the pinata close to her, unsure of what to do next.

It's simple right? Just. Sit down next to him.

Calm down.]

Hi Hiro.

[There she is. She plops down next to him and sets down the colorful pinata on the floor next to her legs.]

Long day right?

... I think I was banned from doing this after the last JP's karaoke party.

[ She's not kidding. ]

[ Again with the silence, with the lack of warning about his appearance. His arms are crossed, and Saiduq leans back against the wall when he teleports right next to Hiro. No words, no sound, no warning. ]

[After stuffing himself with food then singing it all out, Angelo's had enough for the evening. So he decides to relax while drinking. His robot double even came along with him to have some fun too. He's even got Ai's gift ready for her whenever she approaches him. If anyone has their robots bother him, he won't object. He also might be tipsy at best at the moment.]

[Ai is accompanied by her robot when they approach Angelo and they both tilt their heads at him and the other robot.]

Good evening Angelo! Just taking some time to relax?

[ Gifts are strange. Birthday gatherings are strange, but if there's anything he'd want to celebrate, it would be birth. The birth of another person, another seed of potential, another being he loves with all his heart...there is no holiday greater, for him.

Alas, despite his love for the very notion, Saiduq himself isn't too great at picking out gifts, and his only experiences with birthdays have been with only...unconventional people. So here he is, with two...boxes floating near him, wrapped in red and black striped wrapping paper of course.

If that wasn't weird enough, perhaps the intensity with which he's staring at the stars projected on the wall and the mumbling he's doing might be. ]

[The Birthday Girl had suddenly gone absent.

It wasn't hard to slip away with the limited lighting and all. And even though there wasn't a ton of people, it's not like it would have been out of the ordinary for Ai to be gone for a minute or two. She's been keeping up with the party since the afternoon so it wasn't too much to assume that she was taking a break.

Someone is in a corner of the Sanctuary, far from the calmed down festivities, far from other people. That someone, Ai Thao Kha, has her face buried in her knees, legs wrapped around her legs, hair covering her sides like a curtain. In that position, there is the unmistakable sound of muffled sobs, and two drops... No, three tears escape to the ground, creating a few lonely dots on the floor.

Ai Thao Kha wanted to disappear.]

[ The instant Charlie spotted the herd of piñatas, he thought "I have to enchant one of those." Imagine his surprise when they started moving around anyway.

Ah, right, their host is a psychic, isn't she? He's got to admit, she does good work.

So here we have one full grown wizard trying to chase down a moving piñata because he wants to see the full extent of what Ai's done to it. ]


[ D ]

[ This was a fun little event, and Charlie's found himself a nice place to sit as things wind down. (He will admit, however, he's keep a close eye on any of the robots around. Those things are freaky.)

As he's sitting, he idly traces a mark in the air with a finger, ice blue light flowing from his fingertip. When the mark is complete, an abandoned fork on the table next to him stands up on its prongs and begins waddling across the table.

This is apparently how Animators keep themselves entertained. ]

[ IT'S ALL OTOME REALLY SAYS, because there is a grown man chasing a piñata, and she's not quite sure where to begin. ]

[Ai laughs at Charlie's attempt to grab a piñata she happens to be controlling. Look at its sick moves as it weaves between tables to get away from the wizard. Heck, she even makes it toss itself into the air into a mini barrel roll as it makes its escape.]

If you can catch it, I'll let you have all the candy inside! But be careful!

[ai you're not making it easy!?]

[Don't mind this asshole watching the whole chase as he claps his hands togethe. HE'S BEING HELPFUL WITH CHEERS.]

[ Hiro had asked to try and make the gift embarrassing, and while he does have one embarrassing gift in the bag he holds out for Ai, there's also a cute hoodie similar to the one from when he first met her on Lee's post. There's also a bunch of puddings that will start to jump if she tries to grab one and an embarrassing hat. Once she pulls it out he'll say: ] You have to wear that today.

[ Hiro he doesn't know as well, so his bag is smaller (though definitely contains the same hat as Ai's but in blue) but there is also a weird salt and pepper set. If Hiro asks, he'll just smile and shrug...

Where the hell has he been shopping anyway???? ]

( b; ai thao kha are you trying to start a war??? )

[ He hasn't actually seen Piñatas before so this is a whole new thing. When one goes floating past he knows who is probably responsible, but that also means he's more than willing to try and drag it back. His eyes flash and the piñata goes flying towards the wall. If anyone is actually lucky, maybe it'll explode candy everywhere, or maybe Ai will just yell at him. ]

Maybe it needs some flying lessons.

[ No..... ]

[ It's not really that late when everyone seems to gather in one place. Personally, he's eaten quite a bit but has been wary of touching the drink until now. Though there is one question that springs to mind. ]

Did anyone plan any games?

[Ai receives Merlin's gifts gratefully and happily. Heck, she's been pretty happy with how many people are there so far, she'd never thought she'd have an unusual birthday such as this, where her guests are people from different worlds. But hey, it worked out!]

Merlin, thank you for the gifts! I really like them and... AHHH!!!

[OH NO, a piñata exploded and her eyes flash in a panic. She accidentally dropped her birthday hat from him, but another piñata comes by wearing the cake hat for itself. And the candy around her is frozen in midair, thanks to her.]

T-That gave me a fright!

Oh hey! It's just what I've always wanted!

[Hiro doesn't exactly feel insulted over the gifts, but he will be giving him some sass for it. Quite frankly, he could appreciate a good humored gift so he wasn't exactly angry. If anything, he would've been more pissed off over Merlin giving Ai a half-assed gift.]

Mini toilets for the go. [A beat.] In all seriousness... What gag shop did you pick these out of, dude?

[Look, while she was trying to find Ai, she got slightly distracted by this fascinating party game. It's not foreign to her, but it definitely was a surprise.

Well, suppose she could give it a go when offered.]

O-oh, alright. [While it runs away, Vietnam brutally crushes it with her long oar. ENJOY YOUR CANDY.]

[...That's a lot of karaoke. She's still skeptical after the last karaoke party, but she can watch...right?

[Ai grasps her mic nervously after she's done with a song, shifting her feet slightly at Vietnam's compliment.]
