[closed] Let's take a break...
Who: Ankh
notsogreedy and Eiji
powertotearer
When: IC: 7/10
Where: Their apartment
What: Life has been hectic lately for them; time to chill at home with a giant pile of popsicles
Rating/Warning: To be updated if there's anything worth mentioning
[They've had a couple days to settle in by now. The apartment isn't big--actually most people would probably call it tiny for two people--but considering the spaces they've gotten used to sharing, it's more than adequate. And for today, at least, Ankh has no intention of leaving it. Since he arrived here, he's been restless, feeling like he didn't know enough about this place to feel the slightest bit comfortable. After the pizza party yesterday, though, he has more information than he even knows what to do with... and maybe between all that and all the stuff that happened just before he and Eiji got there, everything is finally just starting to catch up with him.
The freezer has been stocked with ice pops, and the refrigerator with enough other food to last at least a few days. Neither of them have any reason to go anywhere. Ankh has managed to set up a sleeping space for himself not unlike what he had back in the attic of Cous Coussier, and for the moment, he is flopped up there doing absolutely nothing. Unless idly keeping an eye on Eiji in case he decides to feel the need to leave and go do something stupid counts.]

But at least Eiji recognizes that was kind of dumb, since he frowns as he finishes wrapping.]
I really thought they'd healed up by now. But I guess I never really had to get them back home anyway.
[He looks back over at Ankh.]
So what did you think of the meeting the other day?
no subject
This place is a mess.
[It's not the most insightful comment he could make about that, but it's a good summary of what he picked up. All the half-information and people having their own hidden agendas. It's like everything he's permanently sick of from life as a Greeed but on a larger scale and he really isn't sure how to play this game yet.]
no subject
I don't think anyone really knows what they're doing. Like, I heard a lot of them suggesting to pick their own side, but they kept running into roadblocks.
[He starts rubbing at his bandaged hand]
I felt like I should have told them about my powers, see if there was anything I could to to help.
no subject
You would say something like that.
no subject
I know. But I also know I'm probably more of a liability right now.
[And that's a problem, he knows. There's something wrong with him, emotionally, and it's been wrong for a long time, but he has no idea what he's supposed to do about it beyond wait it out.]
But now that I think about it, what should we do about the Medals?
no subject
What do you mean?
[Ankh has the book, as usual; Eiji has TaToBa. That all seems normal to him.]
no subject
This is yours, right? If you want them back, I'm not going to keep them from you.
[But there's an unspoken "can you even absorb them?" in the middle of that.]
no subject
no subject
Good. Both of us have powers, in case it ever comes to it.
no subject
[And it's also true that there are only two Taka medals and Ankh already had one of them for himself. So now that he's proven a point, he brings it back out and tosses it back.]
So keep that one for TaToBa.

So what did you want to do today? I know you don't want to go anywhere, and I really don't either, but did you have anything in mind to actually do?
no subject
[Though as he grabs the ice pop out of the freezer, it's obvious how little they've bothered to set up anything in here aside from where they sleep. It just hasn't been important, but that would be something to do. He looks over the empty space as he starts snacking on the ice pop.]
no subject
It's kind of empty in here, isn't it?
[It's weird to think of--Eiji's never really owned much, but he's always had stuff around, even if it belonged to other people.
He goes over to try to figure out the HOLO(gm).]
This is supposed to change the appearance, right?
no subject
[He's already poked at it for a while in order to make a satisfactory bed for himself because let's be real no one but Ankh has anything like that.]
It's not free, either.
[Which is why he hasn't bothered looking at much beyond that, but they should put something in the rest of the apartment.]
no subject
[They could probably use a couple of chairs, so he looks through them first. Of course, knowing Eiji's design preferences...]
This looks pretty, and it's on wheels too. Oh, look at these!
no subject
And of course Eiji's taste in furniture is like his taste in clothes. Meaning it's terrible.]
Are you planning on wearing that chair?
no subject
[Leave it to Eiji to be completely confused by that statement.]
It looks nice. And comfy. It might be nice, just to have somewhere to sit down other than the bed.
[So when he passes out after a combo, you can just shove him into the chair and push him around.]
no subject
That's not bad.
[But maybe in black or white.]
no subject
It's really going to look like a bird's nest around here, between that and your bed.
no subject
At least mine don't look like a rainbow exploded.
no subject
Well, you can put yours wherever you want. I like mine.
no subject
Tch. Fine.
[He can't deny that that chair looks like it belongs to Eiji. And with the way the one he likes has sides, if he's sitting in there, he won't have to see the blinding mess of colors.
So congratulations, they've decided on two chairs.]
...what else do we need in here?
no subject
Table? Or do you think the counter's fine?
