What: It seems an old friend has decided the situation is progressing too slowly.
Rating/Warning: PG-13: Violence, injuries and inevitable deaths.

For those unlucky saps who disappear today, ranging from early in the morning towards the middle of the afternoon, well...they can't be reached by CereVice.

Any attempt to do so will bounce back the message User Currently Occupied.

It's an odd message, and one that's never been used by the CereVice. How strange. It's probably nothing though, right? No contact can be established between groups or from groups to outside people in Cerealia, whether by technology or magic. You're cut off from everyone but those in your groups, now.

Otherwise, all abilities will remain intact.

As for the people who do disappear, well... things get a little hairy really quickly.

Oh! Oh! Flambes!!

[But okay... if Lillydan wants to be contrary... maybe he's going through his rebellious phase. Anyway, Maya's far more interested in checking out the books, so she immediately starts rifling through the nearest one]

These books are all about the flannel guys!

[is she allergic to saying "Flamines" right?]

[ yeah... these books are going into the court record. she's definitely taking around three or four too. ]

It's all Flamines here too. This is amazing! [ she exclaims, so that everybody on the other side can hear. ] I have a feeling that these don't belong in this room, though...

Look around to see if there's anything out of the ordrinary!

[ bossy, thy name is athena cykes. she's definitely walking around some more now, even going so far as to take pictures of the place using her necklace. ]

[ There are a few things out of the ordinary -- first, there's a desk in the far corner. While it's clean on top, there are locked drawers.

Secondly, Illidan will be able to feel that there's suddenly very much another presence in there with them; it's invisible but magical.

Everything else is just books and documents though. And one single door in the back. ]

You there, shrieking harpy-girl, if this place is filled with books on the Flammines, find me one with the location of their homeworld.

[Illidan stalked among the shelves, refusing to follow any of the orders given like the petulant brat he is. Even if he couldn't see anythi-

oh wait, there was something. Not any of the books, no, those were all but useless to him. There was something else he would be quite interested in investigating. However he couldn't leave the goon squad behind him without warning, so he makes his way back towards the group.]

Keep your wits about you, mortals, we are not alone.

You have to be a little more specific, Mr. Stormrage, don't you call everyone that?

[regardless she is also pilfering -- I mean adding-- books to the Court Record and browsing through them for any information]

[She blinks over at him, though. She couldn't see anyone else, but maybe she could sense something, if it had spiritual powers or connection?]

What do you mean?

I'm not a shrieking harpy-girl! [ she yells out. WHY YOU GOTTA BE SO RUDE, LILLYDAN??? ] If anything, you should call me a beautiful singing canary!

[ but yeah, okay. when illidan notices that they aren't alone, she stops in her tracks, breathing in deep. she hopes to god it's not a ghost. she doesn't need any more murderous ghosts right now... ]

What's- Who's there?

[ This is there.

Where it comes from, it's hard to say. One second there's nothing, and then it's there, appearing from between the shelves.

It's going to go ahead and just stroll right up to Athena, reaching out with that claw. ]

Eeeeek!

[ talk about CREEPY AS HELL????? athena begins to shake, but there's more courage in her than fear

she moves quickly and attempts to grab whatever it is by the arm to flip it. ]

W-What the heck--! Athena!

[Juuuust gonna rush over towards Athena to help (somehow...!!) while she screams and flips the robot Sid from Toy Story probably played with]

[The sound of the commotion made Illidan pick up his pace, and he just shook his head at the scene before him. Children. He was babysitting a bunch of children.]

Oh for the love of...

[He quickly pulls the girls back by the scruffs of their clothes. He steps forward, summoning his glaives and spreading his wings to make himself appear larger and more threatening, because he clearly wasn't large and threatening enough as it was.

He does not attack though, first seeing what the creature would do.]

[ Well. The creature's thrown to the ground, and it's kind of unwieldy; it's going to take it a moment to get back to its...feet... so it can move towards them again.

And it does, reaching again for Athena with a clawed hand. Illidan is totally ignored.

Grabby grabby. ]

[ okay maybe it wants something?!?!?!? that you know, isn't related to violence. ]

Hey! [ she stays where she is, standing strong. ] What do you want from us?

[ though now she's getting into position to try and flip it again just in case talking does nothing. ]

[Well, Maya's going to take this opportunity to move forward, next to Athena, poised to.. tackle it, or shield her, or something]

[But she's there!! Since the robot doesn't seem interested in anyone else, and she won't let Athena get hurt if she can help it.]

No more grabby grabby! Try... talky talky!

[Flapped his wings in an effort to urge the creature back. Not because he had issues with not being noticed or anything. Especially over some petty little human brat.]

What is your intent creature, you get no closer to the brat until you answer. Do I make myself clear?

[ The current from Illidan's wings do force it back a bit, but then it moves forward again, single-mindedly.

It shows no signs of understanding a single word that's said.

Instead, it will keep grabbing for Athena, or more accurately, her arms. ]

[ athena tries to fight it but the claws are claws and are sharp so it hurts and that distracts her from flipping it again. ]

Hey! Hey! [ OW. ] We're talking to you, you rude hunk of junk! Ow!

[Okay NOW she's springing into action, planting her foot on.... whatever qualifies as its midriff to shove it back as hard as she can and grabbing its claws to try to force them open and free Athena]

Hey! No more grabby grabby!! Let go!!

[This is his life. Why is this his life.

You know what. He's just going to let the children handle it. If the thing gets too grabby he'll step in, but his threshold for caring is quickly beginning to wane.]

[ It topples back again!

Struggles to get up again.

Reaches for Athena's arms again.

Rinse and repeat. ]

[ THANK YOU, MAYA!! athena can't help but think it wants something, though.

she extends her arm as if signalling maya to stop, and it's not like mr lillydan is going to do anything. and han should stay back too, just in case. ]

Maybe violence isn't the way. It looks like it wants something...

[ please don't eat her arm. ]

Or maybe it's going to show us something?

[ does it even have a heart?! can athena hear anything from it? ]

Whew!

[Oh, good, it let go!! That wasn't so bad.]

...It really wants to shake your hand, or something.

[she glances between Athena and the robot, kind of uneasy. She's got nothing against robots in general, but the last ones were kind of... homicidal. She just doesn't want this one to start trying to claim Athena's arms as its own, or something]

Show us...? But.... Athena, it's just been trying to grab you this entire time...

[If Illidan still had eyes to roll, he would be right now.]

Let it do as it will then, if it is hostile I will simply kill it.

Insistent droid.

[Han still has his blaster in hand. He's waiting to see what exactly the droid is up to, but he's not trusting it.]

Athena specifically.

[ With Athena not suplexing or shoving it away, the poor robot is finally able to finish its designated task.

It plucks the books from her arms and shuffles off to put them away.

Yeah that's all it's for. ]

[ ... it's. ]

It's a librarian? [ she blinks curiously, following the thing. ] H- Hey! We wanna borrow some books! [ in fact, she goes to grab another now and waves it in front of the robot's face. then she opens it up to a random page, points at it, then points to her eyes.

maybe it understands actions more than words. because if it doesn't lbr she'd just grab a ton again and run off.
