What: It started with a goat. Then it all just went downhill from there. AKA Rise Kujikawa and the mysterious memories event.

[It started with a goat. Honestly, at first she thought that she'd dreamed it, that maybe it was just an extension of the white feathers she saw in her dreams recently but no. She wakes up and there sure is a wispy little goat at the foot of her bed. She stares…and the goat bleats flatly at her. It's a sad-looking thing, but as she tries to get closer it seems to disappear immediately.

Wow. That's weird.]

A.) is for Academy

[It's a normal school day. With everyone back from the dead and her worries a little more at ease, she can concentrate a little easier. It's quiet in the Study Hall period of the day and she's working on some homework when she spots the goat out of the corner of her eye…approaching a wastebasket. She hasn't realized it can't change much of the world around them, but she'll get that memo as soon as she gets up and stealthily tries to approach the animal.

Of course, the goat suddenly moves and it startles her and her arms suddenly pinwheel as she yells, trying to balance on her high heels so she doesn't bite the dust. Are you going to catch her? Let her fall? Fall with her? Sorry about all of that.]

B.) is for Bad Places Rise Shouldn't Wander

[This goat is seriously way more trouble than it's worth. She's not sure where it came from or why it's in such poor condition, but she's taken to following it around the colony to make sure it doesn't get too far out of her sight. It's for that reason she doesn't even realize she winds up right in the middle of the Pleasure District. The goat's paused, and if it's possible it gives her a knowing look despite its lack of real expression.

(Is it possible that this goat knows about her dungeon?)

She ends up in a staring contest with the goat, narrowing her eyes when she realizes she's standing in front of a love hotel.]

Don't even think about it. [She sure was talking to the goat, but it's not that hard to overhear her.]

C.) is for Cafe

[Everything is exhausting. She's sprawled over a chair almost ungracefully and that goat hovers around near her feet, but at least its not moving. On occasion, she'll be writing neat lines in a notebook and sipping her tea, though she frowning in concentration. There's an extra chair at her table though. Feel free to ask if you can join her or even be nosy about what she's doing, she won't mind.

On the other hand, if you're a friend or even someone she recognizes, she'll look up and smile brightly before pushing the chair out with her foot.]

D.) is for Dancing Games

[Sometimes Rise likes to play games. Sometimes Rise likes to use the game station to practice and when she gets bored of dancing in her room this is the next best thing. However, she's found at the game center today in front of one of the dancing games, and as she watches the colorful arrows fall across the screen she's continually missing and whines in frustration.]

Ugh, come on! This should be really easy! [And it would be…if she actually remembered how to dance. It's like all memories and coordination have left her and she's left trying really hard to fix that. Help her? Challenge her? Question her?]

E.) is for Everything Else!

[If you want to run into her while she's out shopping, at work as a model/karaoke star/tofu connoisseur, or if housemates want to do apartment shenanigans here you go!]

There's definitely some form of change in the air, whether we were ready for it or not. Are you holding up okay, Rise-chan?

[She considers that for a moment before smiling briefly. Really, what choice does she have after...everything?]

Of course! I have friends here to look after and people to help me, too. It's a lot less scary than doing it alone. [Or more terrifying to have more people to look after, whatever.] Some of them have been here for some time, too, so some things make a little more sense when they start changing.

Just remember, if you feel overwhelmed-- I can't promise I'll be able to fix everything, but I'd be more than willing to lend a hand and an ear. Maybe more than one of each.

[ Just saying. Rise seems like a strong girl, but Otome worries about everyone. ]

[It's with that that she relaxes slightly, sinking back into her chair and offering Otome a grateful sort of look. The goat's moving out of the way of Rise's legs, but that means moving itself closer to Otome instead.]

That's very kind of you. [It's not something she thinks of often since she's usually the support beam for her friends, but it's been a lot to handle.] Everyone's finally back so it's a little less overwhelming, I think. I just hope this doesn't happen again.

[mombastic]

[ Come to her goat, she's a perfect nice doctor mom who won't kick. ]

I hope so too, but from what I've heard, this isn't the first time people have been separated into groups like this and gone missing.

[She shakes her head.] Yu-senpai's told me about a couple of times people get separated. I can't believe something like that can happen without us even getting a say in it.

[To be fair, the goat happens to like Otome. Otome's calm and relaxed and the goat is curious as it clomps up to her, nose touching her knee and passing right through. That's all Rise gets to say though before the scene changes for Otome.

The memory's quickly filtering through, a dimly lit room and a figure floating in front of 7 teenagers…and a bear. The scene plays out for her, Izanami revealing the truth these children sought for months and the group banding together to show they're unafraid and ready to fight for the fate of the world.

There's a bright flash as the fog settles in, all of them confused by what's to come before Izanami speaks again.

"Knowledge of the truth is not everything. Yet drunk with truth, you exceeded your role and became too involved…now, learn for yourselves whose wrath you have brought down…"

The battle ensues, the eight of them engaged in combat with the being who has announced her status as a god, Rise in the corner with a band over her eyes and calling out commands and the rest attacking in tandem. But the battle quickly grows dim as Izanami evolves into her true form, Izanami-no-Okami. Things quickly change as the goddess attempts to knock out a boy Otome may recognize, Yu Narukami. Each of his friends dodges in and out to keep him safe but soon find the fight to be too much. Dark, shadowy hands grab and pull and strangled cries ring through the air as each member of the team is dragged down one by one. The second-to-last one to disappear, the boy's best friend and partner is dragged down and Izanami-no-Okami looms menacingly over Yu as Rise watches on.

"It's unfortunate that our battle must end this way…"

It's with one final hit that Yu goes down, hands quickly swarming and pulling him down.

"No, get up! We came so far!" But it's the last thing Rise says before her Persona disappears and she looks down, several shadows snaking around her and she screams as she's pulled down, too.

The memory ends there, leaving Otome to look back to Rise who hasn't quite experienced the typical effects just yet. She's busy watching her with a frozen sort of expression.

'No…not again.']

[ Well. Otome's encountered several god-like beings in the course of her life back home. Figments from fiction, Shiva, Hariti... angels. But she hadn't expected Izanami, and she doubly hadn't expected Rise to have any sort of involvement in... something like this? Demons? Were those things demons? But the way they summoned their allies was different, and... wow okay she's still badly confused, but as she realizes that Rise is staring at her... ]

... You've led a very interesting life.

[ Otome, that's not helpful?? ]

[She hasn't quite figured out what causes the varying degrees of feeling like death warmed over, but at least with Otome it's just the intense dizziness and mild nausea. For that, she can close her eyes and take another sip of her drink to try and alleviate her symptoms, even as she thinks over what she's said.

That isn't helpful! But it gives her...some sort of idea what Otome may have seen.]

What makes you say that? [And the goat wanders off to return to Rise's side as though nothing's happened.]

Just that I don't usually see teenagers fighting goddesses that often.

[ ... But of course she's seen it happen, okay Otome?? ]

They were more like demons, but... mm, more than I could count on one hand.

[ No wonder she's so chill about this?? ]

[ Well. Why ask, when Otome's cat, with a bat of the paw, can show you? ]

[Hello little cat. Rise would pat it on the head if she knew it was there, but she's soon realizing it's definitely there the moment she's kicked into Otome's memory.

For the most part, the memory seems pretty chill. It's casual, and she thinks she recognizes Hiro from around the network. That part doesn't surprise her so much. The earthquake is a little alarming, and she doesn't understand what "buds" she's talking about, but it's when the demons appear that she seems to realize what Otome was trying to tell her.

She's curious how they can fight them, of course, but when the memory ends she's giving her the most perplexed look.]

Jack Frost…Pyro Jack…Flauros? [Those are the ones she immediately recognized and she's giving her another confused look.] They're demons?

... [ She almost wonders which memory that was, but what surprises her the most here is-- ]

As far as I know, demons are all they've ever been.

Yeah. They're Personas that Yu-senpai can use. [Which...now makes her wonder what the hell...] Otome-san, what exactly do you guys classify as demons?

Anything the Demon Summoning App would classify as one, you could say. Although they tend to call themselves demons...

But are all demons bad? [Wait, hold on.] There's an app for that?

Thanks to a friend of mine, yes. Since we can't summon our allies on our own, the app lets us do that.

... So to answer your first question, not all demons are bad, and you can certainly convince them to help you, but the majority do try to kill people.

They sound like the Shadows...has anyone here told you about those? I'm not the only Persona user here, so I wasn't sure...

I can't say I've ever heard of either term before now... it's incredible enough to know there are apparent similarities.

You should meet Yu-senpai sometime. He's the only one of us who can summon multiple Personas, and sometimes they can combine together to be even more powerful. The demons you're describing sound like the kind of monsters we fought inside the TV world...they were called Shadows. They're creatures mostly made from negative human emotions, I guess? But with our Personas we can beat them so they can't hurt us.

It's a little different, I think... most of the demons we fight have their own personalities and would probably be offended if we said they came from human emotions.
