[ Athena had a shift today at the cosplay cafe, and she was really excited about it! It was always fun being there, since she gets to meet a lot of people. Free food was also involved sometimes, and that was the best part.

…

But today was a bust.

She was even excited to talk to customers with a pirate accent, since that was what she was cosplaying as today. A pirate! You just can't have it all.

Instead of just waiting inside for people to come in, she goes out into the street just by the cafe. She wasn't finishing her work today without showing off her cute costume. Holding out her fake sword and pointing it at any person who passes by, she exclaims: ]

It's into the cafe or Davy Jones' Locker, ye knave!

Of course, anyone who works at the cosplay cafe is also free to stop her from possibly embarrassing herself and the establishment. ]

[ It wasn't even that late! It was just an hour or so before sundown, but a police officer robot thing approaches Athena and tells her to go home. She's not even sure why she's being told to do so, when she's not even a minor. Was it because she was little? Whatever the reason, she felt very insulted by this. ]

I'm on my way to buy some food!

[ But the officer seemed very insistent that she should go home before sundown since it wasn't safe. "Look, kid. You better head home before dark, or else you could get in trouble." ]

I'm not a kid!

[ And if it wasn't her stating that she wants to buy food that could catch someone's attention, it's her yelling that she's not a kid, because she can be loud. Now is one of those times.

Again, the officer continues to believe in its own opinion that Athena is much younger than she truly is, and decides to walk her home that very instant, grabbing her by the wrist. But Athena doesn't take kindly to people giving her unwanted physical contact. She quickly grabs the officer's wrist then moves to turn, her back facing the cop, then she crouches as she pulls its arm to throw him to the ground.

… But she may have thrown her a bit too far. The officer probably hits an innocent passer-by or the space very close to said passer-by.

[Being a super powerful spirit, that's kind of pathetic, Athena!!

Nope, he kind of just braces himself and creates that white short sword, Bakuya, in his free hand.]

[ That surprises her, and she even covers her mouth as she gasps. But she manages to snap out of it fairly quickly as she tries to grab the fish net back, possibly messing up Archer's hair in the process. She's more afraid of what might happen to this month's pay if she doesn't return the net back in one piece than herself getting hurt. ]

[Wow, rude. This hairstyle isn't even natural. Thankfully, he's not out to destroy her paycheck.]

I'm kind of curious as to what you expected to accomplish.

[psycholawgy]

[ You expect someone who's at the prime of her youth to have a well-thought-out plan? ]

Thaaaaaaaat... [ She smiles at him brightly, and her tone becomes softer. It's obvious sweet-talk at this point, but Athena knows no shame. ] You'd come to the cosplay cafe?

[swordboning]

If it means seeing more people who look as ridiculous as you do right now, I'll pass.

[Yep. Making his sword disappear and rearranging his grocery bag again.]

[ That was so offensive!! How dare you call her costume ridiculous?! Her necklace's screen turns red as her face looks like she's about to punch someone. True enough, she balled her fists, ready to strike. But instead of doing anything remotely violent, she looks around and calls a random passerby over. ]

Hey, you!

[ She then points an accusatory finger at Archer. ]

This guy ordered five cups of coffee, a whole three-tiered cake, and eight family-sized pizzas! It's all ready at the cafe, and he won't even come in and pay for his food!

[ Said passerby is just so confused, but ends up saying that Archer should go back in and pay. And it appears Athena's little scene attracted some. . . unwanted audience too. They all seem to share the same sentiments. ]

[All she gets is a shrug, a small shake of his head, and a light huff.]

If I had a sense of shame, that would have worked. Unfortunately, I can make better food than this place can with a hand tied behind my back. I never eat out.

[He sounds so horrendously confident about that. Yep, he's really proud of his cooking skills.]

[psycholawgy]

[ No!!!! She made a scene and everything; THIS CAN'T BE A FAILURE!! And she definitely can't hide her feeling of surprise at Archer's reaction. ]

(How?! It works on everyone!)

Then... just buy something as a gift to someone!

[ Obviously currently out of ideas here. ]

Of course, you're lacking the 'please' part but I'll live with that.

[ ... and it doesn't seem like her robot companion wants to keep to themselves, so suddenly, a robotic voice! ]

Oh? Somehow, I'm more strange than a person who refuses to give greetings, assaults someone in the streets, and then tries to shame them into buying food? I must be working hard on my oddness factor.

[ Proudly: ] I already know I'm different.

Aren't you at the age where you should be trying to impress guys, not scaring them off?

[ ... That at least makes her simmer down. ]

I'm not scary!

In some ways, you're incredibly frightening. Back when I was your age, I'm fairly certain I'd be running the other way.

[ Then why isn't Shirou running!!! ]

Don't you dare run away from a female in full bloom!

[swordboning]

[That loser already has a girlfriend.]

I have no plans on running but when I get what I order, I will be leaving.

[ So uptight. ]

[ Here's another attempt to push him to the cafe. ]

[He'd roll his eyes if he was prone to doing so. But he isn't so it happens inwardly while being pushed!]

I'm just going to get a crepe so don't think it's going to be a big order.

[ Once inside, she finds a table close to the counter. People like sitting close to the counter when they're just taking food out. That's what she's observed, at least. As she holds out a seat to him: ]

Your fifty crepes will be ready in no time!

[swordboning]

If you actually order fifty crepes, I'm not going to pay a dime and I'm going to leave.

[Not taking a seat until this is settled!!!]

Five crepes.

[swordboning]

Two. And I'm not budging from that. Saber might want one so I might as well be polite.
