[Naoki's starting to learn a few things about Yang the longer that he spends time with her. One of these things is that she seems to remember well even the things he thinks she says completely jokingly-- like how they talked about coaxing bellyrubs from one of his demons. How she's going to do that, he's not sure, but hey, there can't be any harm in letting her give it a shot if she's even a bit serious. Especially since he's here in case Yurlungur gets any ideas of trying to eat any magatsuhi.

Tearing his curious gaze away from the outfit she's switched to today, he props his hand on his hip.]

Since you dressed up and all, I could let you try it out. Buuuut, it's not too late to call it off either. [And they can get on to training! He looks again at her clothes, secretly admiring (where he's sure Yurlungur won't). It's different and fresh and er anyway back on track he's completely focused on the topic on hand.]

[Yurlungur writhes in her grasp, still sparking, not hesitating to send electricity out through her, but physical attacks aren't its forte-- So when it's flung, it's with a wheezing sound of surprise and Long lifts his head in time to get a rainbow snake (still sparking) in the snout.

Huffing, the demons separate themselves, eyeing Yang more sharply than earlier, looking a bit battered.]

--hm?

Hey, Yurlungur, Mediarahan is cheating, [Naoki calls from the sidelines when he notices Yurlungur starting to glow white.] It's annoying enough in a regular battle when your enemies heal themselves completely.

[flaredo]

It just means I'll have to beat you up again.

[ This, she says, grinning-- also wincing, because electricity hurts. ]

[masakados]

Hear that? She'll beat you up again.

[Naoki grins too, but he glances at her again, noticing the way that she's wincing. Getting shocked is never pleasant, and she doesn't have a demon's body to endure it.

So:] Let's call it here for today.

[flaredo]

Aww, Naoki, I could take 'em--

[ Except as the glow in her hair and her eyes fades, she's slumping to her knees.

... And then just kind of flopping over. ]

... When everything stops tingling, hold on--

[masakados]

That's the least convincing thing I've ever experienced, [Naoki mumbles as he jogs quickly over to her prone form.

He crouches next to her, moving to scoop an arm under her and coax her up off the ground to actually sit properly (really, he's p much just lifting her on his own). At the same time, his hand glows, sending a wave of healing through her.]

Here, up. Off the ground.

[If she gets sand in weird places, don't blame him.]

[flaredo]

I'm fiiiine. [ ever so petulant, but she's sitting up and leaning against him with a sigh. ]

I won't be able to get used to it if you keep healing me, you know.

[masakados]

[Ah. Weight against him. He blinks over at her... but then settles himself cross-legged, fully prepared to be her support.

Out of the corner of his eye, he can see Yurlungur healing itself and Long but they don't come over. Maybe because Naoki gives them a Look.]

Why do I want to let you get used to being electrocuted, again?

[flaredo]

Because then I'll figure out a way to keep moving, despite it. I'm sure our buddy there's not the only one with a case of the zaps.

[ Still propped against him, she extends a hand in front of her, curling and relaxing her fingers. Good, no longer tingling... ]

[masakados]

Hmmm.

[Naoki sounds uncertain, but she does have a point. That said:] Might wanna start out with slightly less powerful zaps, though.

Otherwise you're gonna get your nerves fried before you even begin to figure out how to keep moving.

[flaredo]

... Okay, yeah, I'll ask Yurlungur to remember that I don't need to sizzle.

[masakados]

There y'go. And if he forgets, you get a free punch.

[Naoki smiles approvingly and he glances over at her before reaching over one of his hands.

He moves to grasp at one of hers, thumb pressing slightly against her palm, just a bit of pressure.] Does this feel back to normal?

[flaredo]

Almost-- [ she blinks at their hands, folding her fingers a little more. ]

It's a little hard to feel.

[masakados]

Hm.

[A light frown and Naoki pushes his thumb over her palm, kneading slow circles there. His eyebrows have drawn in concentration.] It probably needs a little longer.

[In the meanwhile, he can do this...]

[flaredo]

You weren't kidding about him being strong! [ And of course Yang's still smiling, even as she focuses on Naoki's thumb. ] I'm actually sort of tired.

[masakados]

Then rest up here for a little bit.

[They can relax and sit and chat a bit and she can, well, use him to lean against. He's pretty okay with even what they're doing now, and with massaging at the palm of her hand and up around the bases of fingers with his thumb.]

You really took 'em on. I think it'd be weird if you weren't tired at all.

[flaredo]

But I did good, didn't I?

[ Praise her, Naoki! But she'll still try to pay attention to moving her fingers in response. And of course she'll use him for support. ]

[masakados]

[You don't need his praise, you should know how good you did, Yang!!]

You did. Impressed me-- and impressed them, I think. [He tips his head toward Long and Yurlungur, keeping their distance still.] They weren't expecting you to be as strong as you are.

When you punched Long away, and just threw Yurlungur at him... ha.

[flaredo]

You know me, I love surprises.

[ As she tries to tilt her head towards the demons. ]

And that was a fun one.

[masakados]

[As though sensing her attention, Yurlungur looks at her... and then it twists pointedly away in the air. How dare you throw Yurlungur's esteemed self at Long hmph.]

Their reactions were great. I think they didn't like it, but they're not gonna underestimate you again.

I've never seen anyone else fight demons like that, besides me. Raidou'd use his sword and pistol and his demon tubes... [AND he's always super :| straight-faced mcgee.]

[flaredo]

Demon tubes... is that as weird as it sounds?

[ Oh no, Yurlungur's mad at her... ]

But I think there's something fun about making physical contact like that!

[masakados]

Yep, it's weird. [Says the glowing guy.] He keeps any demons he can summon in these tubes this big.

[He lifts the hand not kneading at Yang's palm to hold his fingers apart to indicate.]

For me, I think it's easier. I mean, when it comes to telling what kind of damage you're doing, or how much power you're using... but I've never used a weapon either, so. [He doesn't have the experience of what that's like.]

[flaredo]

I think you do more than fine without a weapon, trust me.

[ HER BODY HAS FELT IT. ]

[masakados]

[Naoki laughs and tips his head so the side of it touches playfully against the side of her head. Just a moment and then he lifts it.]

I'm taking that as praise.

I'd probably accidentally break any weapon I tried to use anyway.

[flaredo]

... That strength of yours is something else. But--

[ And finally her fingers curl around his. ]

I still say your cute side's stronger.

[masakados]

[Naoki blinks down at her hand as those fingers curl around his. Ah, good, so the feeling's come back. He squeezes her hand.

He's just helping to test her grip. That's all.]

I'm not gonna beat you on this one either, am I? Though I'm wondering about your timing.
