When: After this (an ongoing thread)
Where: Various (gym → the streets → the entertainment district/game center)
What: A day in the life of a would-be journalist.
Warnings: None!
a.) it's more comfortable than a barrel
- [Anyone who frequents the gym--more specifically the pool--may find a teenage girl asleep on one of the poolside chairs this fine morning, clad in her pink swimsuit with a towel draped over her like a blanket. A girl who may have gone a bit overboard with the laps, and who never seems to get enough sleep. Her hair is still damp...
Wake her up?
Even if your character doesn't, someone else will. She starts to stir to the sound of teasing laughter--and the feeling of cold pool water being splashed on her face.]
...H...Huh? [immediately, she shakes her head, wiping at her face, and--] Whoa!
[Suddenly there are people, and she's not alone like she was when she dozed off...]
(( ooc: feel free to have your character be the cuplrit behind the splashing! ))
b.) the 90s anime aesthetic
- [Later, after she realizes how soon her shift at the arcade starts, you might catch Leia booking it with a bag in hand containing her costume. If she seems a bit rushed, it's because she is; and honestly, the only thing missing is the toast in her mouth.
It's only when she nearly bowls someone over that she slows down. Stumbling after bumping into them, she struggles to regain her balance.]
S-Sorry about that! [If it's someone she knows, she may regard them with some familiarity here; otherwise:] You okay?
c.) 100 cats weren't enough
- [Leia makes it ontime, but only barely. She looks relieved anyway, though, after changing, and she takes up her post at the front of the arcade as usual. Anyone passing by will see her in a large cat costume, even if it isn't immediate obvious that it's her.]
Don't be shy! Stop on by!
[They will also be handed a flier of the hottest arcade games available, as well as new missions in ViViD and more!
Get swept in by the excitement... or blow her off. She's pretty much used to either by now.]

Well, I never thought of you as weird.
[flynn follows behind, looking around curiously at the inside of the train. someone's still not used to riding around in anything like this.]
no subject
[then she'll pick a window seat, of course, peering out as the rest of the passengers roll in. The train eventually prepares to depart.
it's not a long ride at all.]
no subject
[just a little light teasing as flynn takes a seat next to leia.]
no subject
[she winks, tone playful. she's content to make conversation as they travel, and after they arrive:]
What kind of sandwich was that, anyway? [so she knows what to ask for.]
no subject
A meatball sub with extra meatballs.
[the meat is the best part. more of the best only makes it bester.]
no subject
maybe she'll start off at the top floor today so she can order something for herself, then work her way down...]
I've got you covered.
[they exit the train alongside all the other passengers and hurriedly make their way out of the station.]
no subject
[he'll pay her back somehow when she least expects. maybe even today. as they get off, flynn glances around curiously. this is one place he hasn't fully explored yet.]
Do you come to this area often?
no subject
[well, okay, she has days off sometimes. she responds teasingly, since she did mention working here, didn't she? regardless, she'd rather show than tell. it's not a far walk, so she can point out the building right away.]
It's right over there.
[did she mention the game center has five floors?!]
no subject
[either that or she's a very big fan of the arcade. leia seems like someone who'd enjoy it.
wow. flynn can't help but be impressed at the size of it and takes a moment to marvel at the building. maybe it's just because he expected it to be something smaller and not 5 floors worth. ]
no subject
I do. You won't believe the costume I have to wear.
[the way she says it, it's hard to tell if she means it in a good way or bad.]
no subject
Is it really that bad?
no subject
[...]
Don't worry. I'll show you.
no subject
[no better way to see how bad or cute it is than by seeing! ...though after food since his stomach growls loudly once again.]
no subject
The first floor's got our new releases, so it's usually pretty crowded, just like this.
The food's at the top!
no subject
And everything in-between is older games?
no subject
[there are even helpful signs, which she's started to decorate herself.]
no subject
[a recommendation might make going through them the teeniest bit easier.]
no subject
[hm. now she's considering it.]
Fighting games are super satisfying, so maybe one of those. But they're nothing like beating up baddies in real life.
