![]() It's morning when the lights go out completely. Not a single one remains on except the glow of the device and whatever flashlights anyone bothered to stock up on. However, a single hologram in the Shopping District broadcasts along a billboard for a Very Important Announcement. After that, you hear a song so tender and beautiful that it must have been composed by angels at the dawn of time. "Baby, you light up my world like nobody else. The way that you flip your hair gets me overwhelmed… " When you go outside to investigate, a friendly clown will be inside a stolen(?) ice cream truck, looking to get all your attention before he talks through the speaker on the truck.

Welcome to CEREALIA's fourth official event. For your convenience, we have compiled an OOC post explaining the event in greater detail. Feel free to ask questions there if you have anymore lingering concerns or inquiries. |
phase iv;
Though his expression does twitch into the faintest of smiles upon seeing Hinata rush that necklace. It's not a happy expression, but it's definitely one that says he understands.]
Incompetent seems less likely by the day.
[That was out and out malicious, if he does say so himself.]
no subject
[He says with great exasperation, as though Hinata's just glad for a welcoming ear who'd understand... He turns toward Sousei, feeling a touch of relief to see him all in one piece.
But, not terribly surprising, either. He'd thought he'd seemed capable.]
no subject
He hates this place.]
However, this... I can't understand the purpose behind this.
[There are easier ways to weed them out... did they want to turn them against each other? Was there another faction working within Cerealia? Who knows.]
no subject
Bait people with a false reward of being sent home to try and get us to kill each other? Yeah.
It's a lot more overt than what's happened before.
no subject
There's too much that's strange and unknown here, and quite frankly--]
We don't have enough evidence to make proper accusations yet.
[And making improper ones makes them no better than CERES, as far as he's concerned.]
We've survived, however, and we can gather more information now.
no subject
We don't have near enough yet.
[Hinata signs and places his hand to his forehead, giving away a hint of his frustration before he drops his fingers. Shakes his head. Can't be helped.]
You haven't heard of anyone not surviving what happened, have you?
no subject
He thinks about all of that, and shakes his head.]
... There were casualties, without a doubt.
[Time to see if...people really come back to life here, he supposes.]
no subject
[Hinata's thoughts are flowing much along the same line... but more than anything, he feels a fresh surge of anger. Something like this happening. It's too much like back then.]
It-- would be too much to believe that everyone was able to get through it just fine.
But now what's gonna happen...? Can those people... [He trails off.]
no subject
... The best we can do is wait and see, for them. We must wait and recover, to deal with the rest.
[Aka the people who put them in this situation to begin with.]
no subject
Maybe I'll rig up some defenses around my apartment. I was waiting, but... I don't think that's a bad idea now.
[It's a little strange, still, to be so spread out from other captives.]
no subject
Perhaps. We will not be truly secure until we are not living on their charity, however. [Even if they're working and earning their own money, it's still by CERES' suggestion. This is their city. Their jobs.]
It may not do as much as you'd like.
no subject
I'd rather be doing something, even if it turns out not to do that much in the end.
[He doesn't want to stop trying, even if it's a fruitless effort. It's still something he can look back on and say he tried to act toward.]
no subject
... It is worth keeping yourself busy, nonetheless, and may prove to be useful.
[He just...doubts it. Heavily.]
no subject
We'll just have to wait and see.
[A pause--] How about you? Any... well... plans?
no subject
But regardless, he inclines his head slightly, but--]
Some, perhaps, but nothing I would speak of out here.
[He's starting to get the hang of modernity...!! But the first lesson he's learning is that they can be monitored at practically any time.]
no subject
We don't know where they might be listening from.
[Hell he doesn't know if they have a way to eavesdrop in on them constantly...]
no subject
[Well, honestly--]
When I have solid plans and theories, I will let you know. [He's...going to try to keep people in the loop more!!! Maybe. Stay posted to see if he's good at it.]
no subject
[Hinata smiles at that--]
Then, I'll keep you posted on what I come up with, too. There're a couple of things that I want to check out.
no subject
Very well then. I will be interested to see what you discover.
[He's sure if he asks, he'll only understand half of what Hinata's saying anyway.]
