Kuzuryuu
A. Gardens
[If you happen to be visiting the gardens today, perhaps enjoying a nice walk, you may notice this kid sitting on one of the benches. He doesn’t really appear to be doing much of anything though...he doesn’t even have that look that people sometimes get when they’re waiting for somebody. Maybe he’s just here to enjoy the scenery? Or is he people watching, it’s kind of hard to tell. Maybe it’s both. Because he may end up glancing your way at some point if you seem to be doing something interesting.]
[Or you may run into him by the edge of one of the lakes, where he’s looking curiously into the water. What are the chances of koi fish living in a weird alien colony pond? He’s guessing the chances are not high, but who knows. Maybe he’ll be surprised.]
B. Game Center
[While Kuzuryuu and Peko tend to work at the casino on the same day, their hours don’t always perfectly line up. And that’s fine, since they’re trying not to be too attached at the hip anyway. Though sometimes it leads to the situation Kuzuryuu finds himself in now: his shift is over but Peko’s isn’t. It almost just seems rude not to wait for her when she’ll be done in a just a few hours.]
[So after he inevitably gets bored of leaning on a wall by the entrance to the downstairs casino, he decides to while away the rest of the time by playing a very rousing game of darts...alone. Because there’s nothing more fun than that, clearly. Perhaps unsurprisingly, his aim is just the tiniest bit off, though he does seem to be trying to figure out how to correct for that.]
Pekoyama
C. Cosplay café
[Whether or not your character is the type to frequent this kind of establishment, there’s no missing one Peko Pekoyama standing awkwardly a few feet away from the entrance, near the street. Normally she works inside, where she can safely assume that only a scattered few of her classmates might wander in. Not so today -- it seems that, from the tray of cutely decorated snacks in her hand, she’s there as advertisement.
Though the choice of costume really leaves something to be desired in the advertising department. People are going to get the totally wrong impression from her French maid outfit, and she’ll be quick to correct anyone who might assume that she’s working at a maid café. It’s a cosplay café. Because that somehow makes it better.
When she thinks no one’s looking, she might reach up every now and then to touch the fake black cat ears nestled between her braids, as if adjusting their position. A more careful observer might notice that she’s not fixing them -- she’s petting them. And that’s a little sad, though if she catches anyone looking, she’s quick to resume her professional demeanor.]
Would you like a free sample?
[Her cute outfit doesn’t match her expression, though. Her lips are curved downward into what seems to be a severe frown as she offers the tray to anyone who might look at her too long. Please, oh please, be a complete stranger. It’s fine to retreat, too, since that sure does look like a sword in the bag on her back. What kind of maid carries a sword...]
D. Various bookshops
[Now dressed normally(?) in her usual sailor suit uniform, Peko seems to be gravitating toward two specific areas in each bookshop she enters. In spite of the sword in the bag on her back, she doesn’t seem to be paying any attention to technical manuals or anything having to do with swords or weapons in general. Instead, she seems torn between two different sections -- one is cookbooks, the other is animals.
Either way, she seems to be giving these books a more intense stare than any piece of literature really should be given. Like seriously, what kind of loser reads an animal encyclopedia with that kind of fervor? Save Her.]
Double the Yakuza, Double the (No-)Fun
E. Gymnasium Dojo
[With Kuzuryuu’s arrival, there’ve been a few changes to Peko’s schedule, but, perhaps unsurprisingly, not too many. There just happens to be an extra person present for some of her routines. One of which is her frequent visits to the dojo to practice kendo, wearing her usual black kendo uniform. She didn’t get to being the Super High School Level without actually working for it, after all, and with Kuzuryuu here, she has even more motivation to improve.]
[And Kuzuryuu...well he just seems to be here because Peko is, because he’s certainly not training or anything. He’s just sitting on the sidelines while she practices, keeping absolutely quiet and just watching. Feel free to join him or perhaps ask Peko if she’s willing to spar, because he’s clearly not busy and that’s obviously part of the reason she’s here.]
[Or maybe you run into them a little later on while they’re taking a break at the juice bar. Peko looks a little sweaty and out of breath, but probably happier than most people have ever seen her. Someone glancing in their direction just might notice the elusive small Peko smile, or hear a weird noise that-- actually sounds like a fairly pleasant, if quiet, laugh. Who knew Peko could make those kinds of noises. Who knows what they’re talking about over there, but clearly they need to be interrupted.]
F. Wildcard
[Or, feel free to run into the two of them elsewhere. Maybe as they’re heading back to their apartments after a shift at the casino, or hanging out at the food stalls trying to figure out what to do for lunch. Quite possibly you found them just wandering aimlesssly around the shopping or entertainment districts, who really knows.]

and a little D too.
Or he would, anyway, if he hadn't spotted Peko with an encyclopedia and immediately became interested in what she was reading. Hopefully she won't be alarmed by Gundam's sudden approach, the book he was reading tucked neatly under one of his arms.]
Tell me...what sorts of answers are you seeking?
no subject
[She doesn't quite jump when Gundam approaches, since even surrounded by pictures of so much fluffiness, she can never really lower her guard completely enough for something like that, but she does glance up with a bit of surprise. She hadn't realized that one of her classmates was already nearby...]
I am not looking for answers. I enjoy looking at the pictures.
no subject
[He peers at her book for a moment before chuckling.]
While photographs of what are surely the most majestic creatures are easy on the eyes, I must inform you that you could be feasting those eyes on a far more pleasing sight...behold!
[And it's here that he produces the baby animal book he'd been reading before.]
If it is photographs you are interested in, I will be generous and share these with you. There is nothing about infant beasts that cannot be enjoyed.
1/2
no subject
[And then her intensity cranks up to eleven as she smiles with excite...ment... that's surely what that face is.]
1/2
[Peko, that is a very unsettling face you have there. That expression kind of makes him uncomfortable.]
no subject
This tome is full, cover to cover, of photographs of a variety of creatures. Those with soft, fleecy fur or delicate down feathers...even those with silken and velvety scales. And their gentle, impressionable and innocent eyes that could draw your very soul into them if you stare at them for too long...and their tiny, tiny hands and paws and feet - miniscule compared to the might they will hold once they are older, but nothing to overlook just because they are young and clumsy!
[He has a lot of feelings about babies, okay?]
Be sure to admire and appreciate every aspect of these pictures!
no subject
[Though she seems to barely glance at the ones with scales... or anything other than fur and feathers, really. She doesn't seem too impressed by the lizards and things like that.
She seems to be trying to burn a hole in the book with her eyes, though, whenever there's a particularly fluffy animal. Is she thinking about diving into a whole room full of them... maybe. Maybe she is.]
They look so soft...
no subject
That is a correct assumption. Baby fur is certainly one of the softest materials in the mortal plane. However, infant birds such as ducklings or chicks are superior, covered head to toe in nothing but down feathers. There is no greater joy in life than cradling one of these young beasts in your hands.
no subject
Down feathers...
[Yes, that's nice to think about. Her fingers might be moving just a bit, just subtly, as if touching soft down.]
Can you summon something like that?
[Using his Dark Powers of Ice and Whatever.]
no subject
[Is he surprised by a question like that? A little.]
Hmmm...I have not yet attempted to test my powers here to such an extent...it could be possible, if there's a good enough amount of malleable essence here to work with...or perhaps benevolent spirits to commune with...
[Maybe...]
Are you looking to make a request with this devil, Pekoyama?
no subject
Do you think even someone like me could be in the presence of such a beast without frightening it?
[That look on her face... one might even call it Hope. Is there a fluffy creature that Gundam can summon for her that won't be afraid of her intensity?]
You are the Super High School Level Animal Breeder. Surely you know tricks to keep an animal calm. Correct?
no subject
...is this something you experience difficulty with?
[He quickly gives her a cursory glance over as if he's looking for something that might immediately startle an animal.]
Techniques for calming an animal is common for any breeder, or for anyone who works honestly with beasts in any way. I have many of these skills at my disposal, both those that are well known and those that can only exist within the Tanaka Empire.
no subject
[But then there's a sudden intensity as she locks eyes with Gundam. Maybe that stare is a good indication as to why animals would be scared of her?]
But if you can keep them calm, I would just need a few minutes to touch their soft fur...
no subject
I see...
[He closes the book for now, crossing his arms carefully.]
Touching their fur...such a pure and basic desire. One most certainly worthy enough to grant, fuahahaha! I will help you, Pekoyama Peko! With my assistance, that will no longer be some far off wish, but an obtainable goal! You are hereby invited into the private space of Tanaka Gundam, where we shall conduct this event.
no subject
[Photo books abandoned on a nearby table. She's Ready!]
We'll go now.
[That sounds an awful lot like an order, but she just looks so weirdly excited. Could it be...? Her chance to pet a fluffy animal, like the Dark Devas? Or even fluffier...?!]
no subject
But oh, right now? Well, with such a commanding tone, he can't really say no can he? (No he could but he doesn't mind.)
The baby animal book is also set aside and Gundam nods, moving to lead the way.]
Do not sound so surprised. Under my careful watch, anything is possible. I shall not fail you, Pekoyama.
no subject
...Right?]
What kind of tools do you have in your space for something like this?
[AKA why do they have to wait. Show her the fluff now.]
no subject
However, if that somehow manages to fail us there are a number of treats and toys with which to placate them. I doubt it will come to that, though.
[And besides his apartment isn't that far! He found one pretty close to the entrance of the residential district so making it to places like the store and back didn't take roaming through half the district to accomplish! You'll get to see the fluff soon enough don't worry.]
no subject
[She really hopes those are some hella powerful treats and toys, because even with Gundam's skill, she can't help but be a little warily uneasy. It's hard to hope that she'll be able to pet something fluffy, alright?
So forgive her uncertainty as she falls into step beside him, doing her best not to walk faster than her usual pace in her excitement. Staying calm. She can do this.]
no subject
Luckily, even if she did walk a little faster, he certainly has a long enough stride to keep up. So it's okay Peko. You can be a little excited.]
Once we are inside the district, the apartment building will be the second on our left.
[It'll be easier if she knows where they're going, probably, with how determined her walk is.]
no subject
Understood.
[And she's maybe moving with a little more determination now that she knows where they're going. Fortunately it is close by! Though she's not going to do anything (too) weird like paw at the door waiting for him to open it or something. She'll just wait by him to unlock it and invite her in properly.]
no subject
Well actually, it might not be bad advice for the whole 'be your own person' thing. But definitely terrible for befriending/dating the young master. He's one of the last people you want to ask for that kind of thing. So yeah just stick to the animals.
But that was half the reason he told her yes. Makes things easier on the both of them and he's quick enough to let her in to the...admittedly kind of dreary looking apartment. Is this on purpose? No, it's because he hasn't really looked at the HoloGM stuff at all yet. Apparently he's satisfied with how it is.
It's a very tiny apartment too, studio sized. Reminiscent of his cottage really. There's a bed, there's a rocking chair, there's a hamster cage with a trail that runs the length of the room almost. Light is let in through the windows. Very, very simple.]
You are free to sit where you please.
[This is said as he...plops down onto the floor to work on removing those boots of his and pulling his pant legs down once they're off.]
no subject
She stays near the entryway to slip off her shoes, then just kind of... loiters there, suddenly a little nervous. It's fine to say "sit where you please" but it's another thing for her to really make herself comfortable. If she scares the Devas, after all, what hope is there for her...?
Not to mention this is the first time she's been invited somewhere alone by someone who's not Hinata or Kuzuryuu. It's a little awkward for her.]
...
[What wonderful conversationalists they are.]
no subject
It will be simple enough to perform this ritual sitting on the bed, if that is alright with you.
[You seem a little uncomfortable.]
