Kuzuryuu
A. Gardens
[If you happen to be visiting the gardens today, perhaps enjoying a nice walk, you may notice this kid sitting on one of the benches. He doesn’t really appear to be doing much of anything though...he doesn’t even have that look that people sometimes get when they’re waiting for somebody. Maybe he’s just here to enjoy the scenery? Or is he people watching, it’s kind of hard to tell. Maybe it’s both. Because he may end up glancing your way at some point if you seem to be doing something interesting.]
[Or you may run into him by the edge of one of the lakes, where he’s looking curiously into the water. What are the chances of koi fish living in a weird alien colony pond? He’s guessing the chances are not high, but who knows. Maybe he’ll be surprised.]
B. Game Center
[While Kuzuryuu and Peko tend to work at the casino on the same day, their hours don’t always perfectly line up. And that’s fine, since they’re trying not to be too attached at the hip anyway. Though sometimes it leads to the situation Kuzuryuu finds himself in now: his shift is over but Peko’s isn’t. It almost just seems rude not to wait for her when she’ll be done in a just a few hours.]
[So after he inevitably gets bored of leaning on a wall by the entrance to the downstairs casino, he decides to while away the rest of the time by playing a very rousing game of darts...alone. Because there’s nothing more fun than that, clearly. Perhaps unsurprisingly, his aim is just the tiniest bit off, though he does seem to be trying to figure out how to correct for that.]
Pekoyama
C. Cosplay café
[Whether or not your character is the type to frequent this kind of establishment, there’s no missing one Peko Pekoyama standing awkwardly a few feet away from the entrance, near the street. Normally she works inside, where she can safely assume that only a scattered few of her classmates might wander in. Not so today -- it seems that, from the tray of cutely decorated snacks in her hand, she’s there as advertisement.
Though the choice of costume really leaves something to be desired in the advertising department. People are going to get the totally wrong impression from her French maid outfit, and she’ll be quick to correct anyone who might assume that she’s working at a maid café. It’s a cosplay café. Because that somehow makes it better.
When she thinks no one’s looking, she might reach up every now and then to touch the fake black cat ears nestled between her braids, as if adjusting their position. A more careful observer might notice that she’s not fixing them -- she’s petting them. And that’s a little sad, though if she catches anyone looking, she’s quick to resume her professional demeanor.]
Would you like a free sample?
[Her cute outfit doesn’t match her expression, though. Her lips are curved downward into what seems to be a severe frown as she offers the tray to anyone who might look at her too long. Please, oh please, be a complete stranger. It’s fine to retreat, too, since that sure does look like a sword in the bag on her back. What kind of maid carries a sword...]
D. Various bookshops
[Now dressed normally(?) in her usual sailor suit uniform, Peko seems to be gravitating toward two specific areas in each bookshop she enters. In spite of the sword in the bag on her back, she doesn’t seem to be paying any attention to technical manuals or anything having to do with swords or weapons in general. Instead, she seems torn between two different sections -- one is cookbooks, the other is animals.
Either way, she seems to be giving these books a more intense stare than any piece of literature really should be given. Like seriously, what kind of loser reads an animal encyclopedia with that kind of fervor? Save Her.]
Double the Yakuza, Double the (No-)Fun
E. Gymnasium Dojo
[With Kuzuryuu’s arrival, there’ve been a few changes to Peko’s schedule, but, perhaps unsurprisingly, not too many. There just happens to be an extra person present for some of her routines. One of which is her frequent visits to the dojo to practice kendo, wearing her usual black kendo uniform. She didn’t get to being the Super High School Level without actually working for it, after all, and with Kuzuryuu here, she has even more motivation to improve.]
[And Kuzuryuu...well he just seems to be here because Peko is, because he’s certainly not training or anything. He’s just sitting on the sidelines while she practices, keeping absolutely quiet and just watching. Feel free to join him or perhaps ask Peko if she’s willing to spar, because he’s clearly not busy and that’s obviously part of the reason she’s here.]
[Or maybe you run into them a little later on while they’re taking a break at the juice bar. Peko looks a little sweaty and out of breath, but probably happier than most people have ever seen her. Someone glancing in their direction just might notice the elusive small Peko smile, or hear a weird noise that-- actually sounds like a fairly pleasant, if quiet, laugh. Who knew Peko could make those kinds of noises. Who knows what they’re talking about over there, but clearly they need to be interrupted.]
F. Wildcard
[Or, feel free to run into the two of them elsewhere. Maybe as they’re heading back to their apartments after a shift at the casino, or hanging out at the food stalls trying to figure out what to do for lunch. Quite possibly you found them just wandering aimlesssly around the shopping or entertainment districts, who really knows.]

[Anything that sticks to one sword fighting style seems restricted to Archer, the man of multiple different sword fighting skills. Thankfully, he's also willing to teach. Either way, he's just observing. Okay, observing in low spirits at his current target but he's always extremely insulting.]
Have you tried to learn anything else?
archer -> kuzuryuu -> peko
[He then turns his eye back to Peko, waiting to see what her response is before jumping into what is clearly her fight to deal with. If you can even call it a fight.]

Kuzuryuu!!! Heya! Want to play a game? I'm pretty good at throwing things. I can even do it blindfolded! [ Don't ask to have her do it blindfolded. That's dangerous. Even if she has practiced that and isn't lying. Trucy sounds about as chipper as ever, although it's unclear why she's hanging around the casino...unless Kuzuryuu has seen Phoenix around and connected the dots, if he's even ever met the guy. ]
no subject
Sure, I guess. [He moves over to the board, taking out the second set of darts and offering them to Trucy. Unless she doesn't like blue and wants to take the red ones from him? But somehow he got the feeling she might like blue.] No blindfolds though, let's try and keep potential injuries to a minimum here. [There are a lot of people around and he would really rather not have to make a mad dash away from the building he works in because Trucy put someone's eye out. That would be kind of awkward.]

Peko-san! And Kuzuryuu-kun! It is good to see you today. You appear to be working hard!
lee -> peko -> kuzuryuu
[It's really not a surprise to see him there, so Peko just turns and gives him a familiar nod, exhaling as she relaxes her stance and lets her shinai rest at her side.]

Oh— hi, guys! [WAVING ENTHUSIASTICALLY with his free hand as he traipses over.] The gym is getting a lot more lively lately, isn't it? [muffled sounds of enthusiastic students sparring in the distance and people shrieking in the pool...]

It has, [she answers, a little cautiously as she blinks at the other and glances to Kuzuryuu -- is this someone he knows well? -- before looking back to Oz.] Though with all the new people who have arrived here, I suppose that makes sense.

Have you come here to meditate on your essence? It is not as peaceful a park as it may seem, but perhaps it is the dangers that make it a prime area for reflection for you...

Or he would, anyway, if he hadn't spotted Peko with an encyclopedia and immediately became interested in what she was reading. Hopefully she won't be alarmed by Gundam's sudden approach, the book he was reading tucked neatly under one of his arms.]

[She doesn't quite jump when Gundam approaches, since even surrounded by pictures of so much fluffiness, she can never really lower her guard completely enough for something like that, but she does glance up with a bit of surprise. [Kuzuryuu returns Hinata's greeting with a nod, keeping his voice down when he speaks so as not to be a distraction or anything.]
What, kendo? You're kidding, right? I'd just get in her way. Nah, this is a better spot for me.

But for now he just moves to set his actual sword properly and neatly aside to instead pick up a practice sword. A glance at Kuzuryuu, and then he looks back to Peko, and when she seems to have wrapped up a drill--]
Pekoyama.

sousei -> peko -> kuzuryuu
[Don't let the shortness of her greeting fool you! She is actually rather pleased to see him, because as far as she's aware, he hasn't had the chance to actually meet the bocchan outside of... that memory thing.]
It's been a while.
[But she doesn't miss the practice sword in his hand, and though she does reflexively glance back toward Kuzuryuu as if to ask for his permission, she's quick to return her attention to Sousei instead. She doesn't need Kuzuryuu's permission for something like this.]

She starts to turn at the sound of her name, all stiffly embarrassed to be seen by someone she knows, but then there's a hand on her "ears" and she leaps straight to the conclusion that it's an attack. She leaps back, one hand back on her sword, the other still carefully balancing that tray of cookies.]

Oooiii! Peko-chan! Kuzuryuu-kun!
[Yeah, he caught a glimpse of that smile from Peko. It was cute.
Hence why he's waving an arm and wandering over now, dressed in far more modern clothes since it's a regular day for him, which essentially consists of jeans and a sweater that's too big even for him.]
Hey! How's it going?
no subject
No, there's no hiding it. There's still a hint of a smile on her lips as she turns at the sound of her name. There's only one person in this whole city who calls her Peko-chan, and she's certainly not displeased to see him.]

Unlike Peko, he hasn't done anything more strenuous than go grocery shopping - as is evident from the bag around one shoulder. When he spots her, he moves over to offer a greeting, only to blink in surprise at the company she's keeping. ]
Good afternoon, Miss Pekoyama. And you as well, young man - I didn't realize you two knew one another.
never too late!
[Those ears look even more pettable in person. Peko's momentarily distracted by the potential fluffiness, but it's only a second before she manages to regain her composure and just offer a slight nod.]
Skeens. It is good to see you.
[And then wait, he'd seen Kuzuryuu before? Peko's blinking, then mentally kicking herself for never showing him a picture of her important person.]

Hey wait, you can't leave yet!
no subject
[Alright, apparently we're holding hands. Peko doesn't even bother resisting anymore, just letting the younger girl hold her hand, though she doesn't exactly make an effort to hold it back.]
