[There is something really satisfying about ViViD. Even if Sousei doesn't trust it, it's nonetheless undoubtedly a good way to practice and get stronger. He won't ever pass up ways to grow more skilled, and it's in ViViD that he can practice using his aura like Yang had taught him, as well.

Tenka's busy at work, and so Sousei is here alone this time--but nonetheless he's making solid progress, battling his way through a number of monsters. They get stronger and stronger as he goes, but even so, they're hardly a threat.

Besides, the extra monetary gains are hardly anything to sniff at, even if he and Tenka don't need them. But now with Soramaru gone, Sousei certainly feels the need to work off some of his extra frustration. If this world would stop taking away his protege, he would really appreciate it.

A giant bear roars its displeasure, and Sousei ducks under its claws, rapidly moving to draw his sword then, and moving to neatly impale the creature--]

Either way, Jae-ha looks appropriately amused. Oho, are you misreading him, captain? Pirate maybe but he's certainly not interested in treasure.

He'll let go of Sousei as soon as he can and then also look at the mouth of the cave, setting his hands on his hips.]

[Yeah, he may be misunderstanding Jae-ha again. Then again, it's not like Jae-ha is making this easy.

[Idly, Sousei walks to the mouth of the cave and puts out a hand.

Yeah that's...sure a barrier there. Weird, man. He's not too surprised, though--Jae-ha has already shown how weird he is.]

[Misunderstandings and Jae-ha do seem to go hand in hand.

Speaking of going hand in hand, Jae-ha's going to easily walk backwards right into the barrier, feeling absolutely no resistance whatsoever, and then moving to grab Sousei's wrist and tug to see if he can pull him past the barrier.]

Not just Dragonborn.

The Green Dragon.

[Well, he's at least comfortable enough with Sousei to show his true scales.

..... also it really is just sort of in his nature to be flashy and dramatic.]

[Okay so that's all very well and interesting and all--

But.

Jae-ha grabs Sousei's wrist and tugs him to try to pull him through the barrier, and Sousei wasn't ready for it. Usually he has enough balance, but that tug pulls him slightly off balance, and he was already close to that barrier--

So the tug drags him right into it.

Face first.

And the barrier doesn't seem to be yielding for Sousei.

It's so funny and Jae-ha can at least admit that it's funny judging by the way that he's going to the cavern wall and howling with laughter and he's hitting the wall with his fist like.]

And then he's still laughing faintly himself, shoulders shaking with mirth as he wanders back approximately to where the barrier is for Sousei. Sticks his arm out. In. Sticks his leg out. In.

(Do the hokey pokey and you turn yourself around--)]

Huh. I knew being a dragon had perks but I didn't know restricted access into spooky caves counted.

[Still though, he extends his hand again-]

Wanna have another try or would you like a lock of my hair?

Sousei just crosses his arms, arching an eyebrow. A lock of hair.........]

I suppose it is worth a try.

[Not that he really wants a lock of Jae-ha's lurid hair, but they're wasting time here.]

[And with another flick of his wrist, there is definitely a blade suddenly settled between Jae-ha's fingers. He brings his ponytail around and examines the end of it before snipping off a small lock.

Certainly he is vain but at least this won't extend into the real world, right?

He opens his coat then and manages to pull out a small piece of yarn to neatly tie the lock of hair together so Sousei doesn't have to deal with random strands of dragon hair.

Then he drops it right into Sousei's palm.]

A token from the Green Dragon. Cherish it for the rest of your time here. Look upon it and remember me fondly.

[Sousei's fingers wrap around that lock of hair reluctantly, but either way, with that in hand when he presses his hand forward--it goes through the barrier.

Thank god they didn't need to do any worse than that.

He walks the rest of the way then, arching an eyebrow at Jae-ha.]

"Green Dragon"? [now that he's here, he'll properly ask.

Still though, Jae-ha has no issue with turning on his heel and walking forward. Have some really sparse explanation:]

The Legend of the Four Dragons, descendants of warrior men who drank the blood of dragons to protect their king. Each dragon has a specific skill that is meant to serve King Hiryuu well whenever he may be reincarnated again. You must love and serve, blah blah blah.

[Unlike Sousei, Jae-ha's an open book. He'll discuss his life policies and internal frustrations with anyone off the street.

Having to wait for any master is a pitiful way to live. [fixed that 4 u] Dragons have limited years as is and some of them spend it wasting away, staring at the sky, and wondering if anyone will ever come for them.

Our powers are beautiful and they are squandered or feared.

[True enough. Sousei's not particularly interested in finding a new master either. He has his country, and that's all he needs--

[To be honest, Jae-ha's nose is pretty great. Except as he sniffs the air, he doesn't smell anything particularly dragon-y.... So instead he just sets a hand on his hip and faces one end of the tunnel.]

Holler if you find something then?

[Easier than both of them walking toward a dead-end and hopefully if they split up, Sousei ends up going the right way so that Jae-ha can catch up faster.]

Sousei nods simply at that, and turns in the other direction, and then he starts to walk. He's...definitely not going to holler if he finds something. He doesn't like hollering--

Except as luck may have it for Jae-ha and his desire to speed things along, Sousei does end up finding something. He blinks as he keeps on going, and when there are the tell-tale sounds of something breathing, he pauses. It's...a big thing, breathing.

Hmm.......... he supposes he should let Jae-ha know.

But at the same time, it's not as if he really needs Jae-ha. One glance to determine how dangerous this is, then, first, and so carefully he edges around the corner and--

[To be fair, if Jae-ha found anything, he really wouldn't bother to let Sousei know either. Though when he comes across a wall with a crudely drawn cave painting of a giant hand giving him the middle finger, he supposes that's a fair sign that he went the wrong way.

Then it's just an annoyed snort before he's crouching on the ground and propelling himself forward to catch up with Sousei.

Which also means that he's barely stopping himself in time to end up right next to him and honestly there isn't even any sass about how Sousei tried to lone wolf this thing but rather--]

Sousei slowly glances over at Jae-ha, and then right back at the dragon.

And slowly and deliberately--]

It appears to be a Green Dragon.

[Oho, was that a hint of amusement. Jae-ha just snorts faintly in response then before he follows Sousei's gaze and notices the book and hums.]

Well, are we going to stand around or are we going to complete a quest?

[And he flicks his wrist to put a few throwing knives in between his fingers. He's ready to move in an instant.]
