[All right, so it's a few days later than intended, but when the night that you plan a party just completely disappears into a mess of mayhem and murderous Santas, well, you improvise. At least, that's been Komaeda's plan. After making sure to let everyone know about the rescheduling, it's just a matter of coordinating.

So here it is. Here they are.

The decorations -- courtesy of Souda -- are up: streamers, balloons, matching party hats all in varying shades of red, black and white. They're draped around the small apartment along with what is probably an oversupply of party poppers. The food is set out in the kitchen and most everywhere else.

There's even a punchbowl that's probably not spiked yet, but how long can that really last anyway? Music -- somewhat questionable in some of its variety -- plays quietly in the background. And outside the apartment, up on the roof of the building for later, the yakuza have provided some festive explosives fireworks.

Perfect night for a party. And Hinata's the kind of guy who deserves a good party. Right? Right. Only rules are: no murdering anyone and have some fun.]

Why not? It's normal to want friends to enjoy themselves, right?

[Yes, it sounds like there's a but after that... Hinata gives him a pensive look and a quirk of a smile.]

...Well, you should definitely come up for the fireworks later, at the very least. [Even if he wanted to slip out now or what have you.]

They'll be great.

[But he does want to slip out right now... he's never been much of a party person, and fireworks... he can't say he's ever really noticed them.

So, thoughtfully, he crosses his arms and tilts his head. They never really did much in the way of fireworks, but... hm.]

What makes them "great", exactly?

[He's going to say something that's all about Friendship give it a sec:] They're special 'cause we only have them once, if not a couple, times a year. And this is the first time we'll be having them here.

[If he goes he's never coming back.]

...Hm. [It's an acknowledging noise of Hinata's point if nothing else. He supposes he can see why that would make it special, even if Sousei has still probably never seen anything that passes as a legitimate firework in his life.]

I suppose I understand where you are coming from.

And who knows if we'll be able to have them again like this next year...

[Whether some of them will disappear, whether they'll find a way back before then, so many factors... So it's something important to him.]
