[All right, so it's a few days later than intended, but when the night that you plan a party just completely disappears into a mess of mayhem and murderous Santas, well, you improvise. At least, that's been Komaeda's plan. After making sure to let everyone know about the rescheduling, it's just a matter of coordinating.

So here it is. Here they are.

The decorations -- courtesy of Souda -- are up: streamers, balloons, matching party hats all in varying shades of red, black and white. They're draped around the small apartment along with what is probably an oversupply of party poppers. The food is set out in the kitchen and most everywhere else.

There's even a punchbowl that's probably not spiked yet, but how long can that really last anyway? Music -- somewhat questionable in some of its variety -- plays quietly in the background. And outside the apartment, up on the roof of the building for later, the yakuza have provided some festive explosives fireworks.

Perfect night for a party. And Hinata's the kind of guy who deserves a good party. Right? Right. Only rules are: no murdering anyone and have some fun.]

[ Honestly, Kyouko would have probably hidden it, or at least not have been as upfront. Which only makes her appreciate it more. ]

It's in October, so it's still far away.

[ Not that he needs a reason to give his friends presents, since he...does that apparently at random. Speaking of:

It's not from the Monomachine given that he doesn't have access to the thing any longer, but Naegi has apparently yet to fix whatever habit it is that drives him to randomly present things to his friends. Leon's going to have to worry about it when he shows up in a few IC days, too. Two whole classmates to give presents to at random, what will Naegi do with himself. Besides obviously give them occasional presents. ]

That's right, I found this the other day...here you go. [ The item he passes over after pulling it out of a pocket is a purple "decoder pen" still in it's small packaged case. It seems to be a pen that writes in invisible ink that can only be read with the light that comes with it. ...A spy toy for children. Good job, Naegi. ] It's not your birthday but [ when has he ever had a reason for giving gifts ] I thought it looked like something useful.

[ You know, for all those secret notes you undoubtedly take. Well, she had had a notebook they'd found from that forgotten time. ]

[ Oh, Naegi you and your random gift giving. She should have expected it what with his habit of doing it while they were trapped in Hope's Peak, but being out of that environment somehow makes it different and so she's a little surprised.

Sure it's a toy, but... It's actually pretty cute. She takes it in her hands. It's something she would have enjoyed as a kid, that's for sure.

She looks up at Naegi with a small smile, her cheeks tinged just barely pink. ]
