She listens carefully. What she gathered is that a detective who tries to think like a criminal in order to solve crimes are then called "latent criminals". Isn't this a normal kind of practice? Not just for criminals, but also in sports, competitions. It's speculation.

Vietnam raises her eyebrow.] A detective often puts himself in another mindset in order to solve crimes, no? But "latent criminal", doesn't that make you sound like...a criminal? The implication is right there in the name.

After a moment, though, he seems to come up with an idea, which involves digging his hands into the ground, moving around a bit as he works carefully here. If Hiro watches, it should hopefully become clear that Wall-E is trying to draw a picture of her to use as a reference here.

Eve is supposed to look like this... though, Wall-E's drawing skills are a little childish here so it ends up looking like just an oval shape with eyes. How Wall-E expects anyone to be able to tell otherwise is anyone's guess...]
