[open] ain't no discussion party like an open discussion party
Who: Anyone and everyone
When 1 February
Where: CERES Gardens
What: IC Dicussion Post
Rating/Warning: None so far!
[ At 5:30 in the morning, each person will receive a text: ]
Good morning!
If you'd like to know what happened during the CERES tours, please come to the gardens at 12 noon.
Lunch will be provided.
[ All these texts will come from Athena Cykes, so if you'd like to respond, head on over here! ]
[ Athena's managed to convince the manager of the Little Sister Cafe to cater at ther CERES gardens, so there are tables, a spread of food, and at the center of all the tables is a small platform-like stage with a microphone. A part of the gardens now looks like this. With less balloons, of course.
Once there's enough people, Athena Cykes steps up. She has crutches, and she rests those crutches by the side of the platform as she speaks. ]
I'm sure we were all expecting a safe tour, but most of us - if not all - ended up being in danger. But, despite all this, we learned a lot of things. If we can all get up here one by one, in an orderly manner, and speak of what we've learned, we would be able to help one another survive in Cerealia better.
I don't think we need to keep this a secret anymore; Mr. Mosley and the rest of CERES have their eyes on us at all times. But still, we shouldn't try to withhold information from one another. Information is key to be able to survive in this place. Whatever you know? Please tell us.
The food is also from the cosplay cafe. Please come visit if you enjoy them. Thank you.
[ With a bow of her head, she steps down and heads to her table. Anyone is free to take the stand now and speak. ]
(( Make your own top-levels, and then there can be discussions for each top-level! I won't be running this post, so treat this as a mingle!

GROUP FIVE / GROUP SEVEN / GROUP NINE / IN-GAME TITLES ))
GROUP NINE
We were sent to Waste Management, where we had to go down a chute and then we found ourselves in an Incinerator Room. There was no other exit but a door, which led to something like this. [ The blue icon starts blinking, signifying fear. ] We fell into the water, and a giant fish tried to eat Miss Hawke and I... [ The blue icon starts blinking wildly, and so does the yellow icon. ]
Another fish monster eats us, and we get spit out into the... I suppose it's what's outside of the colony. [ The blue icon stops blinking, but and the yellow icon's blinking dims. ]
And what's outside the colony is a junkyard. [ At this point, no more icons are blinking. ] Everything out there? It's alive. The heaps of metal are alive, and they will attack you. If you're outside the city, they won't let you come back, because they will keep moving you further away.
... it was until Mr. Mosley came in and punched the sentient heaps of metal that we were able to get out of there alive. [ There's a photo of Mosley that can be seen when she says this, and the green icon blinks slightly. ]
We also got some stickers.

But living junk, huh. I can't really say much about that, honestly, but-- if that's what's outside the colony, does that mean the whole planet is like that?
no subject
As for what's outside - I have a feeling that this may be a reclaimed land we're standing on. There might be better places in the planet, with outskirts that don't look like dumpsites.
no subject
Well, the colony was bought, along with the entire planet. It didn't always belong to CERES.

What kind of device was it? I don't recall correctly.

[Of course, the only way to be certain would be to get her hands on the device in question. That's not likely to happen.]

Mr. Mosley has a giant robot fish? That's so cool! Do you know if it can transform?! Or if it has any laser weapons too?!
SORRY FOR THE TYPO

[Rei focuses most on that at first, wondering what exactly Athena's getting at there. Were they possessed by something? It stood to reason that the exterior wouldn't be as solid and well made as the interior. CERES seemed like it wanted to present a good front, but had been focused and building for some time now. And that meant waste and old industry...]
no subject
I don't think they were being controlled, since there wasn't even any reception on our CEREVices where we were. It seemed out of CERES' jurisdiction.

[Simon had mentioned Widget, so she assumes that at least is fair game to talk about. She didn't know Blackquill well, and she'd never really asked about Widget, but...this seemed as good a detail as any.]

[ See, he's mostly just been taking in all the information here, since it's a lot of food for thought about this place.. but this is just something that Shinpachi can't really understand. He knows he's from Ye Olde Times, so he figures these modern kids would probably understand all this modern technology mumbo jumbo a lot more than he does. ]
Are you saying they're like robots? [ If they were.. "alive", or whatever. He's still not really sure if robots are considered alive or not, considering they're not exactly things that were around during his own time. ]
no subject
I'd say they were an entirely different species, [ she says nervously. It's just what she's gotten out of the whole situation. It might sound crazy, but so does everything else in this colony! ]
no subject
Species? So like animals?
[ But that doesn't fully make sense to him either.. animals aren't made out of metal, after all, so it still can't be right. ]

At least he was helpful during your tour.
[Maybe.]
Why would they try to keep you out of the city, though? It makes you wonder what else they're trying to keep out...
no subject
Because it's unsafe outside - they don't want anything else coming into safety? I do think what was out there is definitely unrelated to CERES. In fact, it's what CERES is trying to keep away from us.
no subject
Is there any chance that they're trying to keep us inside of the city too? I'm still not saying that CERES is involved in what you ran into, but is there a possibility of that as well?
