Who: Archer
swordboning and Tohsaka Rin
codere
When: October 19th
Where: Apartments
What: Finding a place to live is suffering for Archer
Rating/Warning: Nuuuuuupe
[With a sigh, Archer opened the door to a place that seemed to fit a certain someone's requirements. Oh well, Archer knew what he was getting into when it came to their work relationship. If he was ever frustrated, he could really only blame himself in the long run. No doubt, Rin would be the one to point out that exact fact to him too. Not so secretly, though, Archer picked a place that he would have an easier time performing daily chores at. Better location and placing, using his keen eye to make sure it was all right.]
Is this place suitable or will there be a reckoning?
[It was a one bedroom place. Yes, Archer planned on staying but he had no need to sleep. It was one of the perks of being a Servant. Hopefully Rin wouldn't get the mistaken idea that she'd be the only one here. Because that was a headache waiting to happen.
...maybe he should address that sooner rather than later.]
If it is fine, I'll work on making sure it's furnished with things suitable for both of us.

[ It doesn't click in her mind immediately how odd this may come to him or the others. Each of the students in the academy had a single classroom to reside in with their Servants and often their beds were oveturned desks with whatever they can find to cover up the mess. ]
What about the cost of living? If we pool our resources together, it might not be enough.
no subject
[If the two of them couldn't handle that, they were seriously in dire straights. Considering that Shirou, Sakura, and Rider stayed in a place, Archer wasn't going to let himself be outdone by that idiot either.]
Problems might arise in how you may choose to decorate the place or how you plan on spending money outside of expenses but I think we should be fine. [Because his first choice was acceptable, it seemed she was a bit more frugal than the other Rin.] Well...?
no subject
[ The cost of being a bit more frugal is that huge mouth she has on her. ]
I'm not a fan of the job recommendations it gave me. Since this entire world is digital, it won't take me long to break into it and fill my bank account gradually over time as though I were working.
no subject
[And really, Rin? That is the most laziest thing ever. Just work some.
Ah, it's not like he didn't predict this.]
...fine. In the meantime, I'll work my job. Working as a restaurant host should be easy though I'm pretty sure they won't like my smile.
[No one is allowed to see Archer's real smile. At the moment, at least.]
Next on the list, a bed. Are you going to tell me that you'd be fine with an inflatable mattress that rests on the floor?
no subject
[ The intention isn't to make him feel guilty, but to speak honestly. That's all she's ever known with her Servant and while he's no Lancer, he does deserve the truth when he inquires about it. ]
You chose restaurant host? What were your other options?
no subject
Besides, a good night sleep in a proper bed might do wonders for your attitude.
[Archer doesn't deserve the truth.]
My other options, I'd rather not talk about. [Neither does Rin, obviously.] As a matter of fact, I wonder if I even remember them.
no subject
Oh, you suffer from selective memory. That's troublesome, but it isn't as if I'm incapable of dragging it out of you later on.
I don't really care so long as you chose the one that pays the most.

None of the three selections had anything to do with my career back home so I think I just brushed them off.
no subject
[No, Rin, you have no excuse.]
Looks like not all things can match up.
no subject
You'll still care for your brain dead Master, won't you?

[ At least she grows more serious after that bit of playful banter. ] My last job overqualified me for the ones here so naturally they had trouble placing me.
no subject
[Instead of electronically stealing money and stuff like that.]

Then again I don't know what to make of a Nameless Hero. You wouldn't know what honest labor looks like, would you?
no subject
All a Nameless Hero has is honest labor. If a Servant has no legend, he has to get his power through hard work and effort. I'm no Gilgamesh or King Arthur. Simply me. Besides, who else is going to do the cooking and cleaning around here?
no subject
[ It's a sacrifice she's willing to make. ]
no subject
[It's not a sacrifice he's willing to make.]
No, we're going to have decent meals. At least, you will. That's non-negotiable in our contract arrangement.
[Luckily, he's an amazing cook.]
no subject
Do you enjoy cooking, Archer? Is that what you're getting at?
no subject
It's not about gaining weight or being fit. It's about being healthy. Ramen and potato chips are high in sodium and will result in high blood pressure. Not only that, they lack protein necessary for any level of physical activity, not to mention all the vitamins and minerals your body needs to function properly. This is real life, not some game.
[He enjoys cooking.]
no subject
[ Only one way to find out.
Swiftly walking towards him with her arm reared back and with a quick swing towards his face..!! ]
no subject
[He leans back with Servant reflexes so it'll whiff. No hitting!!]
I'm a Heroic Spirit, not data. As for yourself, I'm willing to bet you're also flesh and blood. Do you need me to cut you to make sure?
no subject
It might be good to test our limitations here. I know in the virtual simulator it's different, but if they've recovered us I'd like to see just how much pain our bodies can tolerate.
no subject
[He just shifts his weight so it's more like kicking a rock hard muscle! Or wherever she was aiming.]
A good idea but not in public. We have an apartment picked and I can furniture shop later so now would be fine. These kind of things are useful to know but you're not going to get anywhere with it the rate you're going.
no subject
Then what do you suggest? [ Huff huff. ] An arrow to the head maybe?
