☼ Cerealia's Own Soundtrack ☼
Who: Will Solace
sunbaths & You!
When: Various
Where: The local park/gardens.
What: Will has taken up his job as a performing artist in the park. He's playing his guitar to people and singing. He totally takes requests- if he knows them, anyway.
Rating/Warning: None atm.
(Will has never actually performed for anyone but his friends before. Singing at the camp was a lot different than what he was about to do but he wasn't too nervous. When he arrives at the park is the only time he gets a little bit wary. There's a lot of faces he doesn't know and for the most part, demigods really shouldn't draw too much attention to themselves. He was still adjusting to the fact that technology was now a thing that could be apart of his life without taking his life apart. This wasn't home though and that meant he could relax a bit.
The kid didn't even bother dressing up in anything fancy for performing. A pair of ripped up jeans that have absolutely seen better days, some flipflops, and a tank top he found for cheap at one of the local stores that declares SUN'S OUT, GUNS OUT with a small cartoon sun flexing his muscles. The guitar he has with him is actually from home and looks well-worn and loved with a multicolored strap. He picks a spot off in front of some flowers and sits himself down. He forgets about the whole money thing because seriously, he sucks at this, and just kind of starts playing.
He mostly plays cover songs on his acoustic guitar. Every now and then, he'll even sing in a smooth, swaying voice to give some of the songs their lyrics instead of just going purely instrumental. And of course, he'll take a break occasionally. And hey, who knows, he might even take requests!
Potential Songs Your Character Might Hear:
Can You Feel the Love Tonight?
Pompeii
Blank Space
See You Again
Photograph
Call Me Maybe
Dark Horse
Fireflies
Yesterday
Elastic Heart
Here Comes the Sun
& More!
OOC | Since Will's a book character, there's no canon for his voice but I usually go with this guy but feel free to headcanon whatever kind of singing he might do.

Something Will said has piqued his interest though and he looks at him curiously.] The beach... Did you grow up by one?

The question took him off guard. Usually, Will was the one asking questions about people. He was a kid of a god who had a lot of kids and he was pretty sure all of them just sort of blended together to most people.)
Yeah. I'm from Jacksonville, Florida. We lived close to the beach. Could walk there in about fifteen minutes, usually.

Yup. Just us. And yeah, she is still around, thank the gods.
(He doesn't say that in a mean sort of way. It's quiet and respectful. He knew not everyone was so lucky to keep their mortal parents. Nico, for example. He loved his mother something awful and couldn't imagine having been without her.)
She's gorgeous. Like, she really should have been an actress or a model or something. And she's got this really obnoxious laugh that you want to be annoyed by but it's actually really musical and delightful. And she's got so much hair, oh my gods. It goes all the way down to her back and ugh. I love her.

(He laughs at himself, shaking his head. He rests his hand over the edge of his guitar and yeah. It's pretty evident who got him that guitar.)
I guess she is. (His smile fades some and he looks up at Nico.) I don't get to see her often. Being head healer of camp is an honor and I love to do it, don't get me wrong, but it also means it's important I'm at camp more than away. I miss her like all Hades but at least there's Iris-Messaging. It's not always the same but it's better than nothing. She'd love you- oh my gods. She would.

At the mention of actually meeting Will's mother, Nico just gives a quiet but awkward laugh. It's akin to sure, she would, everyone just loves meeting me.]

You're getting a hug. Will's not the most graceful person about it either. He just leans forward and grabs Nico into a tight, brief hug, his guitar temporarily squished uncomfortably between them. Just as quickly as he had begun, he lets go and leans back, his hands on Nico's shoulders and his eyes wide open.)
You're literally the best, dude. Holy...
(He gives Nico a nice firm shake after that because shut up he totally knows what that laugh means.)
Don't even give me that, di Angelo. My mom would love you.
(Will lets go of Nico then and withdraws, removing his guitar from his shoulders and pushing himself to his feet. He holds his hands out to Nico.)
All right, Death Boy, on your feet.

There's, like, no one around.
(He gives a pointed stare around before focusing on Nico. His eyes brighten then.)
Wait, are you saying if we were alone you'd dance with me?

He bends down to scoop his guitar up and slings it over his shoulder.)
Y'know, I don't think I ever showed you my apartment. Not properly anyway.

It means hanging out so I can bother you for a while. And maybe sneak in a dance.

no subject
Yeah? (Dancing or not, Will really is excited to hear that Nico would want to hang out with him.)
All right, cool. Cerberus can come in, I don't mind. Were you doing anything out? Or were you just watching me play?
no subject
Nico shakes his head in answer to Will's question.] I was just taking Cerberus out for a walk.
no subject
(Then that meant he wasn't disturbing any of Nico's plans. He was used to Nico never being around much back home due to the other demigod's busy schedule. He gives Nico a bit of a nod and takes off, expecting the boy to follow him.)

He unlocks his apartment door and steps aside to let Nico in first. His place is almost completely barren which isn't much of a surprise considering how long he's been around.)
Don't make yourself too comfortable, man. I've got expectations here. Do you want something to eat or drink?
