Who: dumb ponytails aka sousei
deontology & jae-ha
defeets
When: IC: 12/19 | OOC: 4/12
Where: ViViD
What: They definitely did not sign up for co-op gaming.
Rating/Warning: There's porn in here. No really.
[There is something really satisfying about ViViD. Even if Sousei doesn't trust it, it's nonetheless undoubtedly a good way to practice and get stronger. He won't ever pass up ways to grow more skilled, and it's in ViViD that he can practice using his aura like Yang had taught him, as well.
Tenka's busy at work, and so Sousei is here alone this time--but nonetheless he's making solid progress, battling his way through a number of monsters. They get stronger and stronger as he goes, but even so, they're hardly a threat.
Besides, the extra monetary gains are hardly anything to sniff at, even if he and Tenka don't need them. But now with Soramaru gone, Sousei certainly feels the need to work off some of his extra frustration. If this world would stop taking away his protege, he would really appreciate it.
A giant bear roars its displeasure, and Sousei ducks under its claws, rapidly moving to draw his sword then, and moving to neatly impale the creature--]

Sousei straightens his clothing sourly, staring at Jae-ha before abruptly turning away.]
Let's get this over with.
[........ ... .... FOR THE RECORD--]
Nobody would enjoy being surprised in such a way. [yeah even if he didn't look surprised he was definitely shocked.]
no subject
Stop asking for immediate results if you don't actually want them.
[To be honest.
Anyway, he's back to looking around the town-]
Well then, time to ask around about dragon lore, I suppose.
no subject
....
RIGHT, DRAGON LORE.]
I will cover one half of the town, then. [It doesn't look....that big.
he turns on his heel to pick one said half. And. Stiffly, without looking back--]
Your method of getting here was prompt, as you said.
[congrats. okay now he's going--]
no subject
[That said......
. . . . . . ??????]
Why do you think your opinion is so important......
[JAE-HA DOESN'T GET IT.
His power is awesome and the most Sousei's words do is confirm that the other guy doesn't care enough to be hateful or distressed about Jea-ha's power.
But he does just murmur that to himself before turning on his heel and jumping over to the other, far end of the town. Yeah, he's going to start with the sketchy areas first. After all, that's where he fits in best.]
no subject
It really isn't that big, and it's not particularly Japanese in make-up--but that's probably for the better.
No nostalgia here.
Nonetheless, in an hour promptly, Sousei will be back where they started, arms crossed and thoughtful.
This is a stupid quest. But at least he knows where the book is.......and about the dragon guarding it.
(Really? A dragon?)]
no subject
He knows where the book is, he knows more about the dragon. The 'dragonborn' bit is explained to him a bit more and--
Well, he has that covered too.
So within that hour, Jae-ha is easily landing next to Sousei again, landing lightly on his feet and flipping his ponytail over his shoulder.
He also smells vaguely like women's perfume.]
Shall we be off then?
[He'll assume that Sousei was as productive as he was. Not like it's hard here. And the other guy has at least made it clear how much he prefer things be prompt.]
no subject
Yes.
[He's also not going to question why Jae-ha smells like PERFUME WHATEVER IT'S NOTHING HE WANTS TO KNOW HE'S NOT GOING TO ASK--]
So even when you are gathering information, you play around as well.
[dammit]
no subject
ah yes the plight of the beautiful Ryokuryuu]
The one commonality between myself and thugs is that we both admire beauty. As such, the ladies of any town are always wealthy with information as well as charm.
[and Jae-ha has an intense respect for them - even as they draw him in like a moth to a flame and rob him blind.
Regardless, he'll be at least marginally more thoughtful now as he slips an arm around Sousei's abdomen and proceeds to lift right off of the ground with a kick of his right foot, headed in the direction of the dragon cave.]
no subject
But now he is not so curious UGH....he really doesn't like physical touch, especially from strangers; it's weird and uncomfortable, and Jae-ha's arm around him is nothing like Tenka's arm slung around his shoulder.
He's tense from the moment Jae-ha is that close, honestly, even if he knows this is about as necessary as it gets to get this over and done with promptly.
It doesn't mean he has to like it. But he bites his tongue and says nothing until they've made it to right outside of the cave, and then all he says is--]
All we are searching for is that book.
[nothing else.
no shinies, rogue.]
no subject
[These are virtual shinies that he can't even bring out with him, Sousei, what the fuck.
Either way, Jae-ha looks appropriately amused. Oho, are you misreading him, captain? Pirate maybe but he's certainly not interested in treasure.
He'll let go of Sousei as soon as he can and then also look at the mouth of the cave, setting his hands on his hips.]
So let me get this straight--
I'd be able to walk into this but you can't?
[did he mention he's a dragon]
no subject
Either way, for now he just crosses his arms, narrowing his eyes. And--]
So you are Dragonborn in some way, or enough that you are counted as such by this game.
[Idly, Sousei walks to the mouth of the cave and puts out a hand.
Yeah that's...sure a barrier there. Weird, man. He's not too surprised, though--Jae-ha has already shown how weird he is.]
no subject
Speaking of going hand in hand, Jae-ha's going to easily walk backwards right into the barrier, feeling absolutely no resistance whatsoever, and then moving to grab Sousei's wrist and tug to see if he can pull him past the barrier.]
Not just Dragonborn.
The Green Dragon.
[Well, he's at least comfortable enough with Sousei to show his true scales.
..... also it really is just sort of in his nature to be flashy and dramatic.]
no subject
But.
Jae-ha grabs Sousei's wrist and tugs him to try to pull him through the barrier, and Sousei wasn't ready for it. Usually he has enough balance, but that tug pulls him slightly off balance, and he was already close to that barrier--
So the tug drags him right into it.
Face first.
And the barrier doesn't seem to be yielding for Sousei.
Thanks.]
no subject
that's really funny.
It's so funny and Jae-ha can at least admit that it's funny judging by the way that he's going to the cavern wall and howling with laughter and he's hitting the wall with his fist like.]
Hahahahahaha!!
no subject
GOD.
Sousei stumbles back, a hand pressed to his face. and just. scowls. UGH.]
Shut up.
no subject
[an immediate answer
And then he's still laughing faintly himself, shoulders shaking with mirth as he wanders back approximately to where the barrier is for Sousei. Sticks his arm out. In. Sticks his leg out. In.
(Do the hokey pokey and you turn yourself around--)]
Huh. I knew being a dragon had perks but I didn't know restricted access into spooky caves counted.
[Still though, he extends his hand again-]
Wanna have another try or would you like a lock of my hair?
no subject
Sousei just crosses his arms, arching an eyebrow. A lock of hair.........]
I suppose it is worth a try.
[Not that he really wants a lock of Jae-ha's lurid hair, but they're wasting time here.]
no subject
Certainly he is vain but at least this won't extend into the real world, right?
He opens his coat then and manages to pull out a small piece of yarn to neatly tie the lock of hair together so Sousei doesn't have to deal with random strands of dragon hair.
Then he drops it right into Sousei's palm.]
A token from the Green Dragon. Cherish it for the rest of your time here. Look upon it and remember me fondly.
[he's just full of jokes]
no subject
Thank god they didn't need to do any worse than that.
He walks the rest of the way then, arching an eyebrow at Jae-ha.]
"Green Dragon"? [now that he's here, he'll properly ask.
like
you don't look very draconian.]
no subject
Still though, Jae-ha has no issue with turning on his heel and walking forward. Have some really sparse explanation:]
The Legend of the Four Dragons, descendants of warrior men who drank the blood of dragons to protect their king. Each dragon has a specific skill that is meant to serve King Hiryuu well whenever he may be reincarnated again. You must love and serve, blah blah blah.
[Tch.]
So essentially a curse with some mild perks. Apparently I count as Dragonborn. How nice.
[SO DRY]
no subject
Nonetheless, Sousei arches an eyebrow even as he matches Jae-ha's pace, considering that. Hm..... forcible serving doesn't suit him well either........]
I see.
[it's like the sahara desert in here COULD YOU BE ANY DRYER... even so, he does feel like that last bit strikes a chord in him.]
Forcible and blind service is not service at all.
no subject
[EVEN NOW THAT HE'S MET YONA, he hates the cycle that he's been born into.]
Even if you try to live on your own terms, the damned dragon blood tells you otherwise. [A derisive scoff.] I lack interest in being anyone's pet or attack dragon.
no subject
They hardly know each other.
They certainly don't like each other.
... Ah....]
It is disgusting. [at least he agrees....] Having to hope for a sensible master is a pitiful way to live life.
[wow.
the thought really does bother him, though.]
no subject
It's easy.]
Having to wait for any master is a pitiful way to live. [fixed that 4 u] Dragons have limited years as is and some of them spend it wasting away, staring at the sky, and wondering if anyone will ever come for them.
Our powers are beautiful and they are squandered or feared.
[Though he does pause as they come up with a fork in the path.
Hm.]
Would you suppose that we can smell the dragon from here?
no subject
But for now, he focuses on their task at hand.
Talking about feelings is weird.]
I don't smell anything. [for what it's worth. Do video game Dragons even have a smell....]
If you do, we will take that path. Otherwise... [...pick at random, or split up. Those seem to be their choices.]
