[ Sorry, he's just. Gonna stare at you for a second, Yuri. ]

A... goatman and a talking... cloud. [ Beat. ] You're completely serious.

[ Whoa oh my god she totally just did that!! He does nothing but stare at her in awe for a moment, but once the dust settles and the instant is over, he finds his words again. ]

Holy--! Dude! That was awesome!

Huh? But-... Okay. Heh. If you're sure.

[ He follows, of course, looking around and taking everything in as he goes. This place is... so unlike anything he's seen, and that just further drives home the fact that he's completely displaced. Far from home, if home is even still there. He swallows around a sudden dryness in his throat, tries to shove away any thoughts of home that his mind seems to want to turn to and dwell on at the moment...

And when they reach the shop, well, at least he can focus on that. ]

Hey... did something happen here?

[ Yu figured at least that much. He's usually pretty good with people, though Touka seems to be escaping him a little. At least he got this part right.

Izanagi doesn't respond to the comment except to tilt his head a little, a strangely human response from so inhuman a creature. He'll tuck her securely into the crook of his arm, holding her against his body just for the sake of stability, and lower them both slowly to the ground. Yu watches from below, monitoring it all as carefully as he can considering the distances involved.

It's only when the two reach the ground without incident that he lets out a breath he didn't know he was holding. ]

[ Ah. What a terrible sense of humor. ]

[ He wouldn't quite understand what was going on here if he didn't think to follow Hiro's gaze. And he can't quite, considering the other boy is looking above his head, but when he realizes where exactly Hiro must be looking, the pieces fall into place. His title. What he'd just said. A person you care about. And the way Hiro's own expression changed as he put the pieces together.

Watching Hiro figure it out was rather startlingly like watching Naoto deduce the logic of a case. He had the somewhat bizarre urge to laugh.

Still, it was more than he would have wanted to reveal to someone he didn't know. Yu sighs a little through his nose and inclines his chin slightly in what could barely be called a nod.

A lie, huh. ]

Weird stuff?

[One tiny part of her is glad that things are back to normal, that nothing's changed, that she was still firmly on one side while he was on the other, that he was still the awful bad guy. But a bigger part of her knows that she's too old now to believe in a world that separated itself into the bad and the good so clearly and easily.

That was one problem with her powers: the fact that once something was read, it could never be unread or forgotten. She knows (has probably known for a while) that he's not as bad as she'd like to believe and some part of her wishes there was some way to help him.

But she draws back for now, giving him his space.]

[ Yu takes her hand with a grin. ]

Narukami Yu. Just Yu is fine. Tsunemori... are you Japanese?

[ All he does at first is shake his head slowly. ]

It just seems hard to believe that they were already here when I was told my planet was recently destroyed. It seems like I was lied to.

[ Yu leans back in his seat, drumming his fingers on his cup. ]

You should know something. Yosuke is here.

[ YES, PRAISE. she lives for praise... her ego gets a bit more inflated at that, and she sets her arms akimbo when she grins at him. ]

Think there's actually a real person there?

[ The S sticks. Beside the tree, a digital display lights up:

Yu breathes out slow. He's trying, but this is really freaking him out, no matter how much he knows it's good sense to stay calm, to tell himself this isn't real, that that isn't really Nanako up there silently pleading for him to save her. ]

[ Lucky again. The display now reads:

[ That had been what Yu had meant. And watching Roxas jump up in the air - higher than any normal person should be able to jump - and actually glide around really is something else. Yu actually whistles, impressed. Once Roxas is safely back on the roof, Yu applauds a little, grinning. ]

[Rei nods slowly in reply to both.]

I'm aware he's here. I can feel his presence. And...you should be very aware that you were lied to.

[Her fingers click on the sides of her cup and she sniffs.]

Unless you honestly believe that alien invaders came and destroyed your home in an instant and you were completely powerless to fight back.

[Focusing on that simple question, Rei nods and holds open the door for Yosuke. The insides are clean, but still a little too new looking. Like this was replaced entirely this morning.]

There was a flood a few weeks ago. We're...still drying things out. There was extensive damage, though recovery's been underway for a while. This cafe is the best place still open, though.

[She heads to a seat and takes it, looking him over.]

But Sybil is... a computer system. [ An intelligent one, of course. However, something isn't adding up. How does a computer make an informed decision like that? One based off of will, as opposed to calculated numbers? Does a robot have wants or needs?

Gino frowns, eyebrows knitting together. He really thinks there's a missing piece, like a nearly complete puzzle with a lost middle section. ]

I'm not understanding how it was able to eliminate you based on a feeling. Moreover, how did it pull the trigger?

[ Unless there's a security system, but that would've been an inconvenient oversight if Kasei had known and forgotten to tell him before he directed Kagari into the investigation. ]

Good guess. [ He means it, because so far, things have been progressing smoothly. The forms in the noose haven't had any tightened ropes, a relief in and of itself.

Of course, that means this next letter is important. It can either spell good tides or awful ones. ]

[ Well, alright. It got them a little further, but the blank spaces still aren't making much sense. ]

[By all rights, Maya should be freaking out by a man randomly appearing in her tub.]

[But, at the sound of the bathroom door cracking open, Maya peers over - only to see a man emerging, possibly with a rubber ducky stuck to his ankle.]

[And she pauses]

[And gives him the weirdest look]

Wow, you're really lost, Mr. Plumber....

[ By all rights, if she had started freaking out, he wouldn't even blame her. Considering he is in her bathtub (or was, rather), long limbs way too cramped in the small space. Also there's a rubber duck near his ankle that is making odd wheezy sounds as he shifts around to try and clamber out of the tub.

The duck sticks. Quackers, right? ]

Ah....excuse me, I didn't mean to... [ How is he supposed to explain this??? ]

[Well, he is trampling on Scrooge McBubbles. That's worth a reaction or three, isn't it? She looks him up and down, considers the sad state of the ducky, and lets out a dramatic sigh]

It was the toilet that needed fixing, not the bathtub.... [apparently he doesn't need to explain, because he's got it all figured it out.]

[she considers his title]

Ah! Were your soaking away your worries with Scrooge McBubbles? That's pretty weird, but.... I guess I've never considered the plumber side of things.

[ He follows her gaze, eyebrows creasing when he sees the duck has decided to hitchhike. Bending a little, he pulls the rubber animal off his pant leg, giving the thing a very serious look.

Scrooge.....McBubbles. Ah. ]

I wasn't soaking. [ Clearing that up right away!!! ] It seems as though ViViD decided to dump me in....your bathroom.

[ Along with that, he holds out the cute duck figure. ] I'm terribly sorry about harassing your rubber duck. It was an accident.

Dump... you in my bathroom?

[she processes this information with a puzzled expression. CERES is responsible for some really weird happenings, but this is the first she's heard of them dumping people in other people's bathtubs.]

[And then she gasps dramatically!!!]

[because it's dawning on her!]

[This guy is just too embarrassed to admit he wants some alone time with her duck!]

[With this Brilliant Revelation, Maya doesn't take the offered duck. She plans her next move:]

....Well, there's only way to make it up to us.... you're going to have to spend some quality bonding time with him!

[ If only he knew what her thought process had been like. What a wild ride. Maya, please leave the detective-ing to.....people who are detectives???????

Ginoza blinks at her sudden exclamation. Wh? How? What's going on here? Why is he spending quality time with this rubber duck? ]

...Young lady, I don't think that's going to resolve anything? I apologize about intruding, really. I can get out of your way if you could show me the door?
