While CERES' programmers work on getting it back up and running, all new entrees this round will be going through a different level than usual. Only a single world is accessible at the moment, a simple one entitled 'CERESLearn.' "What the $%@& is this?" you must be thinking. Well, it's simple! It's a study program, of course! CERES' advanced AI technology is here to make sure you learn and that you learn sexily. Whether or not you pay attention to the actual content is up to you, the player. Please enjoy it while it lasts. They're here to teach you a variety of subjects and also to make you feel vaguely uncomfortable all over. New arrivals and those logging into ViViD will first find themselves in a classroom with a new operator greeting them rather than Vidia. "Greetings and welcome to Cerealia! It's nice of you to join us at last. As you can see, we're just about to get started! Here are the instructions: ♥ Choose your subject of choice. They include things like medicine, math, CERES economics, CERES history, fun facts about Julius, engineering, and science! ♥ Choose your tutor. You can hire Astor, Hilda, or UN-Zippy ♥ They'll teach you slowly, deliberately, sensually. Then after that, they'll drill you hard and without stopping. ♥ Just when you think you've had enough, they'll quiz you all over until you're sweating and panting. ♥ For those of you who pass, you'll be welcomed well into Cerealia and be given a free voucher for a McCERES Mildly Content meal. Please enjoy!"

//SCENARIOS.EXE PHASE I [ xxxx ] Once you choose your lesson and your tutor, you will be transported to a classroom where you and a few other players who decide to choose the same lesson will sit with your tutor after school, getting knowledge taught to you by someone who seems more intent on learning what's under your clothes than filling your head with knowledge. They will be awkwardly stretching, dropping pencils by 'accident' on the floor, and bending down slowly to pick them up. Certain things might be spilling out of their clothes. Awkward things. They will breathe down your neck and make sure you are well-versed in their anatomy by the end of the lesson. Fortunately, it won't last long as their bodies start to flicker erratically. PHASE II [ xxxx ] Just as things begin to escalate, the flickering will grow intense until your tutor will start to morph before your eyes. What takes their place is something that is anything but friendly. And yes, it will continue to breathe down your neck and speak in a sweet, soft, alluring voice while reaching out with its 'hands' to try and touch you. This will be your cue to run through the halls of the school while That Thing chases you in every single direction imaginable. There will be others joining you as everyone starts bolting out of their classrooms. PHASE III [ xxxx ] Feeling tired already? Well, don't stop and rest now! For those who successfully murder their own tutor, they will get their food voucher and a lovely welcome into CERES. You've officially passed! Everyone will be allowed to mingle around the game room in the CERES Research Tower before being directed into McCERES just across the street. For those who were already in the colony, you will also receive a voucher and directions to McCERES at the end of the game in case you want to go meet up with the newcomers there or just eat some artery-killing fast food. PHASE IV [ xxxx ] For those who get eaten by That Thing or don't pass their quizzes and upset their tutors, they will be forced to endure the Price of Failure. This means being sent to the gym with the other 'failures' to endure a painfully slow and erotic striptease by UN-Zippy. Once that is over, they will then be logged out and allowed to have their complimentary McCERES voucher. BONUS [ whyo'clock ] Congratulations on surviving CERESLearn! Here's your complimentary voucher for a free Mildly Content Meal at McCERES. This month's special is also the McKnight Burger. Characters are immediately invited to take a load off and enjoy some good ol' fashion fast food of questionable origin. Those who decide to order and eat here will also get a special toy included inside their Mildly Content Meals. [Nice had just so happened to be staring intently at Hilda's cleavage in his face when she began to flicker. And it didn't take him much longer than that to realize that it wasn't a hot girl that was trying to seduce him, but a monster--]

Oh man!

[As the monster lunges at him, Nice topples over his desk in a hurry as he gets up and dodges. He doesn't have a whole lot of time to think about what he's doing, except that for now he's got to put some distance between him and this monster while he tries to figure it out. So that's what he ends up doing -- he puts on his headphones, and while he doesn't make an attempt to use his Minimum yet, he makes a break for it and gets his ass out of the classroom. He's ready to use it at a moment's notice if he has to make a quick getaway or dodge, but for now he doesn't need to...]

Nobody told me I was supposed to be an exterminator today...

[Said with a completely deadpan look while he scratches at the bandages on his cheek absently, but that's because he's trying to figure out how to squash a giant bug right about now.]

That wasn't funny, you know!

[He says this at nothing in particular as he gets his voucher, and he might end up sulking around the game room for a little while and muttering something about bugs before crossing the street and going into McCERES. Not that he won't be irritated regardless of what he does, considering his circumstances, but maybe they'll at least have something good to eat across the street.

Not that he has much of a choice, anyway. If he was going to find out what was going on, staying in one place meant he wouldn't ever figure out anything.

So if someone doesn't encounter him grumping around the game room, they might encounter him on his way to McCERES and grumping along the way there too.]

[ Yang's head tilts in his direction, and then she offers up a grin. Because truthfully, she found the whole thing rather hilarious, even if her hunk of a tutor had turned into a giant bug and then she'd had to punch him through a wall.

What a shame. ]

Aww, it's not too bad. You should've been here when everyone thought I was a murderer.

[He turns to the sound of her voice, and seems to consider it. Squash a giant bug or be thought to be a murderer...]

Both sound pretty terrible. I doubt there were giant bugs involved then, though.

[Or maybe there was, who knows.]

[Elza comments from the side-- he so happens to be darting out of a nearby classroom, his own monster right after him, falling into a running step with Nice. He glances over quickly (wondering what the heck those things on his head are--the headphones) before looking ahead.]

If they were trying to make sure we're awake, at least they've succeeded with that.

Yeah, definitely awake.

[And he's still thinking as he runs, and he skids around the corner and attempts to drag Elza with him. He's going to try to throw the monsters off until he can figure it out...]

I guess it'd be too easy if we got giant bug spray too, huh?

[AND DRAGGED Elza shall be, catching himself quickly with his other hand on the wall so that he doesn't fall following. A glance back and yeah no that giant thing is still there.

Lovely.]

Or a giant boot. [He doesn't know what bug spray is but he can surmise thank you context clues.] If we could get to a bigger area I could see how hacking at it works. [He taps a finger against his sword.]

[ They weren't in the same class, but amid the in-campus chaos, Yata thought he saw a guy with headphones unconventionally dodging a bug in the blink of an eye. It's why he nearly got eaten once. Impressed by Nice's talent, Yata tries to flag him down on the way to McCERES to talk to him. ]

Hey, you! The one with the headphones!

[He was going to ignore the kid (because let's be real, there's a lot of shouting going on right now anyway, himself included), but then when he says "headphones", that makes him stop. He turns to look at Yata, shifting his headphones around his neck as he answers:]

Yeah?

[rollin]

[ Okay, give him a moment to catch his breath here. He did just run to catch up to him, and he did just fight a bunch of giant bug creatures. ]

That... was awesome. You—you were awesome.

It wasn't meant to be.

[Clearly all Nice needed to top off his day is this total buzzkill. Sousei's got his sword out even as he leans against the wall. He's been through the game once or twice, and even though the bug blood was all virtual, he still feels the need to clean his sword.....

It's a weird sensation, this virtual reality nonsense.]

Causing us harm to begin with is always their intent.

[It's okay, Nice needs a buzzkill in his life at all times clearly.

But he stops, looking around as if trying to decide on whether Sousei's actually talking to him but...he is. Oh okay.]

Yeah? It doesn't sound like it's your first time doing this.

It isn't. [he's here to fulfill that role and also to be exasperated while he does--though at least he's calm enough on the outside.]

There have been multiple incidents of danger when more people are brought here.

[ Figures the first time he'd hop online to actually try this game out, he'd end up being chased by something. Give him a break. Weren't the robots that attempted to kill him when he first arrived bad enough? Now, it's a giant bug, and here he thought he'd go the safe route by choosing UN-Zippy who seemed wholly non-sexual and non-threatening compared to the other two.

That was a stupid mistake because the robot is also a bug, and Rin's already sick and tired of running for his life in this place. He tries to console himself by saying 'it's just a game' over and over again in his head, but it feels a hell of a lot more real than any he's ever played before. Luckily, he's not the only one in this situation as he nearly runs into another guy in a similar situation. ]

Oi, watch where you're going! What are you doing even standing around for?!

[ Without even thinking, he grabs the guy by the arm and yanks him along, getting him away from the TWO giant bugs chasing them. ]

Just how many of them are there? I didn't sign on for this!

[He wasn't quite ready for someone else to come barreling towards him, much less grab him.]

Hey--!

[But he'll start running with him anyway, because not only is his monster coming out of the classroom, but they've got two of them on their tails now.

Great.]

Probably as many as there are people in here, don't you think?

[He looks a little bit irritated to be dragged away, but his voice still sounds calm enough despite everything. Especially with what he just said...]

[ That wasn't the answer he was hoping to hear, but he'll take it anyway. If there really are that many, he's sincerely regretting logging on today. Just his luck that the first time he bothers trying to play this game, it tries to kill him with large bugs after a robot was attempting to molest him. Who was it that told him this game was so fun and that it had a cool fantasy element to it?

His teeth clench together as he ducks into another hallway, wondering where they should even escape to. This place is a freaking maze! ]

We should probably find somewhere to barricade ourselves in at this rate! We're not going to get out of here in one piece if they keep multiplying like this!

[ He wonders if they can swim. They might be safe in a pool... great, now he's starting to think like Haru. This day is just starting devolve with unpleasantness for him quickly. ]

Unless you got any better ideas! You can speak up, you know!

[ There's so much grumping going on here.. granted, Heung Soo is grumping as well. Even though he wasn't even part of the whole ViViD deal, but it's since he's grumping over something else entirely..

Not that it makes any outward difference though for what reason you're grumping. So he's just doing his job here, about to deliver a package to the McCERES -- but that's when they're both so absent-minded in their grumping that they just end up plainly walking into each other, the package in Heung Soo's hands falling on the floor.

.. whoops, was that just now the sound of something breaking? ]

[He'll be mostly okay later, but for now there's a lot of butthurt from not having most of his friends here and having to put forth Effort to kill the bugs.

He yelps when he walks into Heung Soo, and his expression takes on one of horror when the package falls to the floor and breaks.]

I didn't do it! [He's backing up now, yelling out the first thing that came to his head.] You can't make me pay for it!

[Clearly this is his priority right now...not that the stranger was okay, but if he was going to be the one paying for the possibly broken thing in the package.]

At least Heung Soo doesn't look really offended. Then again, "really offended" is hard to tell with him. Just thanks to the way his face is structured and the fact that he rarely smiles he constantly looks like some sort of pissed off punk.. so whoops, Nice, feel free to misunderstand.

Especially since he just sighs as he looks at the package on the floor. What a pain.. ]

Aigoo.. [ Why him. He's tempted to say "is that the first thing you think of" but at least he manages to swallow those words down. ] They're not going to be happy about that.

[ sounds like a gangster without meaning to... ]

[ so! nice! you're probably walking by this dude and grumping and what an awful thing to do in front of america. he just frowns deeply and makes a u-turn to fall in step with nice.

Nice jumps when he feels the arm around his shoulder, and he looks over at the person who decided to get up in his space. He's going to make an attempt to push it off, though, especially when he speaks.]

I'm not emo about it...and I'm not giving it up!

[It's free food ok why would he give that up.]

[ JUST... GRIPS NICE TIGHTER come on, come onnnn be bros with him. broship is all about physical contact, right? casually... digs fingers into nice's shoulder. ]

Imagine a cat, [ casually... waves his free hand in front of them to describe this scene ] hanging by a tree trunk with it's claws. And under that cat, there are words, and those words are [ are you ready for this ] "Go get a milkshake."

[ During all that mess, Naruto's just currently doing his best to stay alive. With Kyuubi resting and him being all the worse for wear, his offense options are kind of limited. Unfortunately for Nice, Naruto was too preoccupied about his offense plan that he didn't notice Nice till it's too late. ]

O-oi! Watch out!

[ ...also Nice's eyes are not playing with him, there are indeed three Naruto that's about to crash into him if he doesn't dodge in time! ]

[He's studying the monster when he hears someone get his attention, and he sees three of the same person. He yelps in surprise and makes a move to dodge, and he's mostly successful. One of the Naruto bumps his arm, throwing him slightly off balance, but he recovers pretty easily.]

Hey! Watch where you're going!

[ At the very least the other two Naruto split off in order to throw off whatever was following the main one. In any case Naruto's going to just be a bit less frustrated than Nice at this situation. ]

It's kind of hard to be watching where I'm going when that [ points to that worm creature ] is chasing after me!
