![]() Did you think the glitches were over? Boy, were you wrong! Through the last remnants of the digital kerfluffle, the latest batch of recovered code has manifested in CERES' computer systems as the guilty parties. Yes, that's right, all incoming arrivals are now placed on the wanted list, accused of having committed the heinous crime of creating and releasing the gorg0n virus all over Cerealia. These vicious twelve have been working together all along and conspiring against CERES, and it's now up to everyone to figure out if the new arrivals are truly guilty or if they are as innocent and confused as they claim. In the meantime, CERES has dispatched assassination droids to stop the accused and bring them to justice via disembowelment. So while CERES rushes to stop the droids from committing murder, characters are perfectly welcome to a.) soil themselves b.) fight off the droids c.) run while soiling themselves or d.) cry a lot. e.) ask for assistance!

Welcome to CEREALIA's latest intro post. For your convenience, we have compiled a post detailing everyone's arrival experience and a FAQ that should explain everything in more detail. Please read them thoroughly before playing. Thank you! |

[ What's even going on? Why the hell is his face plastered everywhere all of the sudden? Does he want to know what they think he did to that lobster tank? They must have him deeply confused with Haru. He's not the one who's all too eager to strip and jump into those things at the drop of a hat, though that doesn't have him as concerned as the fact that he's being named a criminal when he didn't do anything. He only just got here a few minutes ago after waking up from that game, whatever it was supposed to be.
He doesn't even recall going into any sort of arcade recently, yet he's fairly sure he woke up covered in equipment and then got shuffled out into the streets with barely anything that passes for an adequate explanation for why he's even here in the first place. None of it makes sense, and Rin's just wandering around aimlessly, looking a little sour that they didn't even bother to give him shoes after plucking him from his world, leaving him awkwardly trying to avoid pieces of glass on the floor.
He pauses in the middle of the sidewalk before looking around at muttering to himself- ]
Where's the nearest clothing store? Is anything even open at this hour? What a pain. Least those scientists could have done was drag me all this way before I got changed for warm-ups.
[ He's got way bigger things to be upset about, but he's tired, hungry, shoeless, and just wants to go home at the moment. ]
《 phase ii 》
[ Rin's pretty sure he's going to die today. If not by being skewered to death by a robot, then by getting run over. He narrowly misses a car that threatens to flatten him, which doesn't stop him from waving at it with one of his arms as it keeps driving by, clearly ignoring the teenager in distress.
What's wrong with people here? Do any of them not care about the homicidal robots chasing them? His own legs are tired from running, and he's out of breath. As much of an athlete as he is, jogging for sport is nowhere near adequate preparation for running to stay alive, especially from something that moves as quickly as the murder-bot and also never tires or runs out of batteries, it seems.
He continues to move through the street, still looking for a hiding place only to turn around and duck in time as the robot catches up to him and tries to stab him. It manages to catch the sleeve of his team jacket, but Rin's reflexes save him from losing an arm. ]
Damn it! Stay back! I told you- I didn't do anything!
[ He pulls the sleeve free and grabs a trash can from the street before throwing it at the robot in desperation. ]
《 bonus 》
[ He doesn't know what it is, but it's big and it's hugging him. Well, at least it's not trying to kill him? It's a step up from the murder-bot but not by much. Rin's just cradling his face in his hand and wishing someone could pry this thing off because it won't stop. It just won't stop.
After being abducted from home without proper footwear then chased around the colony and nearly skewered, this is the last thing he needs right now. He's had enough, and he grits his teeth for a moment before finally shoving his palm in the dinosaurs face. ]
Let go of me! I already told you I don't need any damn hugs! Tell me where to get bandages!!
[ The dinosaur only takes this as a cue to hug tighter and give him more of what it deems as "love." This is not love. This is only suffering. ]
bonus;
At least it's not trying to kill you.
[ though, admittedly, he'd rather face another assassination droid than this thing. ]
no subject
Doubt that's true. I can't breathe like this.
[ The words are wheezed out as Rin turns away from the ugly dinosaur face that's way too close for comfort to stare at the guy speaking. He gives him an exasperated look, wondering if he just came by to stare at him. ]
Are you going to help me or not? At least, cause a diversion, so I can slip out.
no subject
[ though that said, ludger will still at least try to pry the thing off him. for what looks like a guy in a goofy costume, this thing is surprisingly strong. ]
Do you think I can just wreck it?
[ because that would probably be easier than doing this... though he's not sure what'll happen if he breaks the thing, either. ]
no subject
[ He doesn't exactly trust him to destroy the hugging dinosaur without injuring him terribly, and he needs his body in tact for swimming. And other things... mostly for swimming, though. ]
Just call it over, then I'll hit from behind and knock it out before it gets to you! I won't let it get to you!
[ That should work better and with less risk of someone he's just met seriously injuring him in the process by doing something reckless. He's hoping he'll get to it fast, too, since Rin isn't sure how much longer he can withstand being hugged to death by this thing. ]
no subject
[ ludger usually doesn't immediately resort to violence as a solution to problems... but for some reason, this dinosaur robot evokes nothing but murderous intent from him. hm, maybe he just really dislikes dinosaurs or something. ]
Er... are you sure that'll work?
[ he can't help but be hesitant, though in the end this guy really does need help... so ludger just takes a deep breath, before shouting: ] Hey! You over there! What about me? I want a hug too! [ ...........if this doesn't work, he's just going to wreck it, whether it's still holding onto the other guy or not. ]

phase ii!
If Rin looks off to the side, there seems to be someone standing on the sidewalk! And yep, that... that sure is a high school kid expertly dual wielding two handguns...]
What a stupid mess. Cleaning up after the people who are supposed to be in charge here... If I wanted to do something like that, I might as well be in charge myself! [HERE'S YOUR RESCUE SQUAD, RIN.]
You! Come this way!
no subject
HIS HERORin doesn't know whether or not to be disturbed about a kid his age casually toting guns around or grateful that the droid is currently spazzing out all over the place now that it's been shot in what he hopes is its CPU. It'd be nice if he could stop running for a little bit. He's sure his legs can't take anymore anyway, and he puts a bit more distance between him and the robot before hunching over and resting his palms over his knees, struggling to catch his breath. ]Thanks- I owe you.
[ The words are wheezed out as he manages to cast a relieved look at the guy. ]
You sure it's out for now? I don't like the look it's giving me.
[ And he has half a mind to stomp on its head a few times except he doesn't want to be stabbed through with a very sharp sword in case those bullets are just cosmetic damage. ]
Where'd you even get those guns from?
[ They can't just be handing them out to students here ...what kind of place is this? ]
no subject
It's fine. [Said with a little haughty sniff, but it seems the sentiment isn't directed at Rin himself so much as at the situation in general. A person can only deal with massive corporate flops so many times in two months...]
We'd better not take a risk. Follow me. [AND AWAY... It seems he knows his way through the side alleys pretty well because he's the shadiest kid ever, immediately setting off and gesturing for Rin to follow. He'll keep a somewhat slow pace though, considering the poor lobster-flashing criminal seems pretty winded and tired.
The second question will get an answer once they're both on the way. He speaks from over his shoulder, holding one handgun up and tipping it to the side a little.]
It came with me, of course! [Of course.] But I don't know where you'd get any here if you want your own set.
no subject
[ In the grand scheme of suspicious people that Rin would willingly follow, this guy ranks pretty low, but he's well aware he's in a place he doesn't recognize, surrounded by strangers, so there aren't any other options. What he says about his guns isn't exactly all that comforting, either. Teenagers don't exactly walk around with weapons where he's from, but if it'll keep them from being chased by any more murderous robots, he's willing to stake his life on this guy.
He nods after a short period of uncertainty, starting to walk as quickly as he can manage. ]
Let's go. I don't need my own set, either. I don't plan on sticking around here that long anyway. Soon as I figure how to get back to Japan, I'm getting out of here.
[ If he can help it, that is. His mind hasn't exactly settled on the fact that he's on another planet at the moment, one that might not even be in the same universe as planet earth. It's a large pill to swallow, and he's trying to push down whatever panic threatens to well up inside of him. ]
Do you know the way out of this place?
no subject
Moreover, it's not like this city is the first place he's been in which confused people sort of pop in and out like spring daisies, wondering where they are and how to get back home. It's why the explanation comes so easily; his attention is still largely dedicated to following the trail to the housing complex, but this is a topic that's second-nature.]
I know the way to the apartments, but if you're asking for a way back to Japan, you're out of luck for now. Whether or not you believe what those guys said in that meeting, there's no way to leave this place. We haven't found a gap in the perimeter at all yet.
[AND BOY has he been looking... Not because he wants to risk getting eaten by an alien in case they're telling the truth, but because he finds the whole set-up a little suspicious. If they're not going to provide information, it's up to the citizens to take it, as far as he's concerned.]

phase i
Of course, that thought is quickly paused when she glances aside and catches that flash of red which supposedly flashed the lobster tank as well when she catches sight of the body carrying it and wow. This guy works out, that's for sure. ]
Guess you didn't waste any time getting up and going with the lobsters, then?
[ She can't help but remark as she looks at him and jabs a thumb at a street display flashing his face and stats. Luckily for Rin- at the moment- she isn't freaking out at it. ]
Sure it's just a mess up on their part, unless you're really into that sort of thing. You just arrived, huh? You don't want to hang out looking like that at this hour.
no subject
I didn't do anything to them! That's obviously made up. Someone's playing some kind of sick prank.
[ He's inclined to believe that about everything that's happened since he woke up here. None of it makes any particular sense, and he doesn't necessarily believe that his world was destroyed just like that. Never to be seen again. Could he really be the last survivor?
His brows knit in the center, trying not to get swept up in all the lies everyone is spitting out left and right, though it's easy to get distracted by the wealth of technology in this place has. It's definitely overwhelming, and he almost misses the rest of what the lady says, remembering that yes, he's barely dressed here and only has swimming equipment in his gym bag along with a few electronics from his own world. ]
It wasn't my choice to come here like, this. I was actually looking for a place to stock up on clothes before I ran into you.
[ He might as well put all those credits to good use while he has them. Who knows how long he's going to be stuck in this nightmare? ]
no subject
I don't know how much of a prank it is- I've been here two months and it's all been pretty real. So was the place before it.
[ But either way- she opens up her bag and hands him one of her long-sleeved scrubs coat, frowning a bit. It's lengthier on her but the guy is tall, not to mention muscled... she pauses. ]
I'm not sure that'll be long enough but it's for someone with bigger shoulders than me anyway. You can wear that until we get to a store. Come on.
[ She motions him over and points to one of the brightly lit streets- the market area is still pretty active, even if it's some of the shadier places open, but she's sure she's seen a few stores open still. ]
Where'd you drop in from? And what the heck is going on with your teeth? You're not one of those vampire weirdos that files them, are you?
no subject
He's sure he can find a way out if he just studies things rationally and tries to put them all together as best as he can. He also needs to figure out how he even got here to begin with and where in the universe they currently are ... if they're even in the same universe.
Damn it... this all so weird and confusing right now, but he shrugs on the coat over his shoulders for the time being and starts following her. ]
Ah, thanks.
[ And that gratitude is short-lived as he hears the comment about his teeth, clenching them together in annoyance and wondering what's so weird about them. No one's ever brought them up before, and he's practically had them since he was a kid. ]
-hah? What do you mean 'what's going on with them'? They're my teeth. Same ones I've always had. I'm hardly the least normal thing in this place.
[ He found at least two or three people up on those billboards that look plenty weirder and have done way worse things. Allegedly. ]
no subject
I'd give you my foot-folds but your feet are too big. And it's doubly unhygienic, you know.
[ Actually, she's just being an ass- she doesn't want to rip them up, after all, but either way, she leans closer and stares at him closely. ]
So people on your world have teeth ready to rip someone's throat out? That's terrifying. Well, I suppose they're fine enough for whatever you've been doing with the lobsters so get moving. Just don't do it in front of me. I like my lobsters cooked.
[ Now she's teasing, amused at the boy's reactions- and she's beginning to realize why that idiot Julien was so fond of teasing. The reactions are priceless. ]
Got a name? I was too busy reading your crime to bother looking at it. I'm Megumi, by the way. Megumi Yukimura, western style. No calling me Yukimura. I happen to like my name.

Phase II
When the droid focuses on her, Oona has a moment of panic assuming it might think she's there to help Rin. Somehow, clearly, this is all Rin's fault, and Oona makes a split-second decision that's sure to not benefit them in any way.
She charges the droid.
In the water this would have been much easier, what with her fangs and all to help her out, but the density of her bones does a nice job of knocking the droid down with her full body tackle. Oona scrambles to get back up while the droid is momentarily dazed and points away.]
Run, stupid! Did you favor, take it!
no subject
It doesn't matter at the moment because for as terrified Rin is of the murder-bot, he's not going to leave a girl to get injured on his account. He still maintains he did nothing involving lobster attacks or whatever this 'gorg0n' stuff is, but if this robot is chasing after him for all of that, then he's the one who should be taking responsibility for it and not some random passerby, even if he could have sworn she was laughing at him earlier. ]
What do you mean 'run'?! I'm not just going to leave you there with that thing!
[ Without thinking of a better plan of action, Rin quickly jumps in to help her, throwing himself on the arm with the katana while trying to wrestle it out of its grip if he can. ]
What are you thinking jumping on it like that? It wasn't even after you!
[ And he's not about to let another person sacrifice themselves on his behalf. He's had enough of that. ]
no subject
And yet here was a human jumping in when she'd clearly given him the chance to run off. It was bizarre and confusing and she wasn't sure how she felt about it. So, of course, she settled on just being angry.]
Stupid! Is not after me, like said! Would be fine!
[the droid seems to be shaking itself out of its stupor and again Oona really wishes she had her fangs back.]
Is not going to work. Can not do anything without water. [So she lets go of the droid and instead makes a grab for Rin] Come! Will take somewhere safe!
no subject
[ Excuse him for worrying a little here. He doesn't know what water has to do with any of this except that if they found some, it might cause it to short-circuit if they submerged it inside.
Either way, it doesn't look like that robot is going to give up pursuit any time soon. Whoever made it clearly took into account the fact that it'd be tackled and roughed up a bit because it doesn't look as if it's even staggering or affected at all by that. That fact doesn't bode well for them to stick around standing here, so he jumps back before it can grab him then yanks Oona out of its way. ]
You lead, and I'll follow. We can talk when we're not being threatened, now go!
[ He points forward and starts running, ready to toss her over his shoulder if he has to. She can't be much more than 48-49 kg, so he's sure he can manage if it comes down to that. ]
no subject
Despite how small she seems, Oona's quite fast, and thankfully she knows the backalleys of the city pretty well by now. It's about 2am and the darkness should hopefully help them lose the droid for a bit, but now she has to decide where to take the two of them to.]
Choose! Home or work! [A second later she realizes he might not understand her meaning and makes a frustrated noise.] My home or work! Both near, can hide for little bit! [Mostly she just wants to rest though, she's a swimmer not a sprinter.]

'scuse me sir robot, but your programming needs to be fixed along with your face. You seem to have something on it. Way too scary for your job.
[ As if he wasn't the one responsible for the broken face. ]
no subject
He doesn't let it imprint itself further into his thoughts as he jerks back and enjoys sweet, sweet freedom and movement. When he can finally speak normally, his voice is still a bit hoarse and practically shoved out of his throat in a fit of shock. ]
-what the hell was that?!
[ His eyes scan the newcomer, wondering where his weapon went... if he had one to begin with. His hands look free. ]
How'd you-... I don't see a gun anywhere.
no subject
That's because I don't have one. Teachers are not supposed to carry weapons. [ well. ] Or something like that.
[ It's not like he needs weapons very often anyway. Unless a lighter worked, but he was pretty sure that most people (except for example a scaredy-cat nurse he happened to know) didn't consider that an actual weapon. ]
It's just some spiritual energy, that's all.
no subject
[ What kind of teacher walks around like that? They're usually a lot older and not quite so ...casual. He's sure this guy might be messing with him. Either that or schools are a lot less strict in other worlds. He can't tell. He's still mystified by the fact that he blasted that thing without a weapon.
Or with 'spiritual energy,' as he calls it. Rin's never seen anything like it, and he's staring at him in disbelief before eying his hands again. ]
And don't say it like that explains everything. What do you even mean by that?
[ His head's been hurting with one anomaly after another in this place. It just never seems to stop being weird, and he can't make sense of any of it. ]
