[Naoki's starting to learn a few things about Yang the longer that he spends time with her. One of these things is that she seems to remember well even the things he thinks she says completely jokingly-- like how they talked about coaxing bellyrubs from one of his demons. How she's going to do that, he's not sure, but hey, there can't be any harm in letting her give it a shot if she's even a bit serious. Especially since he's here in case Yurlungur gets any ideas of trying to eat any magatsuhi.

Tearing his curious gaze away from the outfit she's switched to today, he props his hand on his hip.]

Since you dressed up and all, I could let you try it out. Buuuut, it's not too late to call it off either. [And they can get on to training! He looks again at her clothes, secretly admiring (where he's sure Yurlungur won't). It's different and fresh and er anyway back on track he's completely focused on the topic on hand.]

He'd get his eighth color? I guess you could do this for your other demons, too.

[ But she's not petting a skeleton. ]

I think the seven are enough, [sotto voce so Yurlungur doesn't hear, not that the demon is paying much attention. It's still happily winding through the air about Yang, under her hands.]

Speaking of other demons... I'm able to summon another one now. Want to meet him?

[flaredo]

[ Wow, way to ask a silly question, Naoki. Yang's nodding immediately, even though she doesn't still her hand from Yurlungur petting. ]

The more, the merrier, right?

[masakados]

Wait until I can summon all of them and you won't be saying that.

[But he steps back, putting some good distance between them-- and it's evident in a moment why that is. Suffice it to say, a dragon is much larger than Yurlungur, but Long similarly coils through the air before touching down just beside Naoki, looming over him.

He looks around before huffing, Tʜᴏᴜ ʜᴀsᴛ sᴜᴍᴍᴏɴᴇᴅ ᴍᴇ?]

Yeah. I've got introductions to make-- Yang, this is Long. Long, Yang.

[flaredo]

[ A dragon. A dragon that shares about one-third of her name and that makes Yang even more delighted, despite the fact that there's now a massive creature with giant fangs hovering nearby.

So of course she's undaunted when she offers up a free hand. ]

Nice to meet you!

[masakados]

[Long sniffs slowly, ducking his head down until his snout is close to that hand. Then with a fuuu of breath, one claw moves to place against the palm of her offered hand. Yes, he will handshake.

Tʜᴏᴜ ᴀs ᴡᴇʟʟ.

And, to Naoki: Tᴏ sᴜᴍᴍᴏɴ ᴍᴇ ғᴏʀ ɪɴᴛʀᴏᴅᴜᴄᴛɪᴏɴs, ᴛʜᴏᴜɢʜ... ʙᴇ ᴍᴏʀᴇ ᴍɪɴᴅғᴜʟ ᴏғ ᴛʜɪɴᴇ ᴇʟᴅᴇʀs.]

Ah, yes, sorry to drag your creaky bones out. [He reaches over to thump his palm against the dragon's scaly side.] Yang, you look even happier than before...

[flaredo]

Who wouldn't be happy? I get to meet a dragon!

[ Look, she's just thrilled. ]

[masakados]

Hear that?

[Long just snuffles in amusement and moves to settle on the ground, serpentine body slightly coiled and stretches his head out toward Yang, watching her. Yᴏᴜɴɢsᴛᴇʀ, ʏᴏᴜ ᴏᴜɢʜᴛ ᴛᴏ sʜᴏᴡ ᴛʜᴇ sᴀᴍᴇ ᴇxᴄɪᴛᴇᴍᴇɴᴛ.]

I'm used to you by now, Long. [But he's smiling at Yang without really noticing he is... a distracted, pleased expression.]

[flaredo]

[ Yang will notice after a few seconds-- accidentally, of course, as she glances away from Yurlungur. ]

What's up? You look like a proud parent.

[masakados]

Uh--

[Naoki quickly looks away, scrubbing his palm against the back of his neck sheepishly.] No... er. I was just thinking...that you really look like you're having fun.

[And he was happy about it okay wanna fight.]

[flaredo]

I am having fun!

[ In case he was wondering. ] I get to pet a demon, I met another one that looks like a super cool dragon, and I'm hanging out with you. How could I possibly not have fun with it?

[masakados]

[Naoki looks back at her (in the background, Long's conferring with Yurlungur over the meaning of 'super cool' it's hard to be an old-timer demon) and scuffs his feet against the ground.]

You're the first one to react to my demons like this. Not everyone sees a demon and wants to pet it, you know.

[He teases... but really, he's kinda amazed by her.]

[flaredo]

Then it's a waste. Not that I'm not used to having to fight giant monsters the instant I spot them, but I don't think there's a point in being afraid of what you don't get.

[ A casual shrug, as she looks over at the two demons. ]

Unless it was a giant hellish bloody blob or something.

[masakados]

[That's it, there-- one of those things that he'd never heard from people before now. Everyone had been very quick to jump to fear before, had quickly judged even him based on how he looked, hadn't tried to understand. He's wondered lately if she's unique or the norm.

Maybe his own standards are skewed somehow. He doesn't know.]

Ha-- I don't have one of those, though I've had to fight things like giant hellish blobs before.

[flaredo]

[ She's a little unique in some aspects, let's just say. But she's blinking at him, a little curious. ]

Was it fu-- oh wait, you don't like fighting. Then let's hope for a lack of hellish blobs here!

[masakados]

[That she remembers earns her a half amused, half grateful look.]

It was an experience, [is what he'll say about that. MARA, MAN. At least Mara wasn't fully summoned or that would've been a whole other experience entirely.] But I wouldn't do it again.

Well, unless one appeared here. Then I'd have to use my blob-fighting experience.

[flaredo]

That's more than me. Mine's really only with giant birds, giant bears, giant wolves, giant robots--

[masakados]

... I wouldn't mind fighting a giant robot. [He's never fought one... His eyes are gleaming.]

I dunno why you're saying 'only with', though, that's a pretty good list you have.

[flaredo]

Because it's like I'm rusty here. I'm not seeing a whole lot of combat, you know?

The occasional robot, though, so you might have some luck here.

[masakados]

Rusty, huh... [Naoki tips his head, humming.] I get it. Back in the Vortex World, all I'd do every single day was fight, and here it's completely different.

[He glances at her, then to Long and Yurlungur.]

...Do you want to fight against my demons sometime? Along with the training with me. It can't replace actual combat, but it could be something new.

[flaredo]

Really? I'd love that!

[ Once again, NO HESITATION. In fact, she's beaming. ]

You're someone who actually keeps me on my toes, so I bet they'd be the same!

[masakados]

[Naoki grins.]

Yeah, they will. And, each demon's unique with the strengths and weaknesses and abilities, so maybe you'll get some new strategies out of it too.

[And given that both demons in question have turned to listen to the conversation, they seem interested too.]

[flaredo]

[ Yang looks over towards them, resting a hand on her hip. ]

How about it, guys? Want to try me out sometime?

[masakados]

[Long snorts, lifting up his head: Iғ ᴛʜᴏᴜ ᴡɪsʜᴇs ᴛᴏ ғɪɢʜᴛ ᴀɴ ᴏʟᴅ-ᴛɪᴍᴇʀ ʟɪᴋᴇ I. But there's a gleam in his eyes. Naoki mutters something like:] Doesn't hit like an old-timer, I'll tell you.

[And Yurlungur makes a noise of affirmation, both sets of eyes fixing on her.

DEMONS ARE ALL FOR IT.]

Then it's a deal! Careful, I won't hold back.

[ Yang, holding back probably won't be an issue. ]
