Well, first of all, I didn't make it. [ She has to push the blame on someone else, after all. It's not as if she made the stupid massage bot. Why would she make one that's so... stupid? ]
And second, it's just a simple massage robot that I got for free. How could I say no?

[He's still distracted, searching the ground until--aha. There's a sizable rock, tennis-ball sized, the sort people use for landscaping, and he bends to grab it in his hand. It fits pretty nicely, he can't help but think. He hops back a few more steps away from the robot, tossing the stone up and down in his hand, and takes aim.]
Good thing, though. Now I don't gotta feel bad about crushing somethin' you made yourself!
[Who makes robots, anyway?
He winds up and hurls the rock directly at the robot, hard. Like, hard. That pitch travels 100 mph on a baseball; the rock is heavier, so it doesn't go anywhere near that fast, but "nowhere near 100 mph" is still a pretty damn hard throw. And his aim is flawless. Ultimate, some people might even say.
Everyone's got to be good at something. Occasionally his is even useful.
So he manages to put a gaping, sparking hole in the thing's face, which he feels pretty damn good about, honestly. Of course, it's not like he knows how robots work. Possibly that won't be enough to "kill" it. That's gotta be enough! Right? He throws his arm up and cheers to celebrate his maaaaybe-victory, but he's still got one eye on the thing to see if it actually stops moving.]
Didja see that?! Ha ha!
[Not that he's going to let uncertainty stop him from gloating.]

[ She answers him with clear disinterest. Of course, the robot's still moving, seeing as it still has some life in it. Even after being hit and having a hole, it still wants to give a nice, hard massage. ]
no subject
[Ah, shit. He notices the robot still moving halfway through that sentence, and grimaces; no, not cool! Not cool when there's still danger! He's not going to leave the job half done, but what now?]
Dammit, I totally thought I had it! What kinda robot gets built to take a rock to the face? Okay, okay, plan B!
[He doesn't know what that is, yet, and briefly looks to her for any ideas, before scanning the area again for anything that could be used as a weapon.]
I take it you don't have anythin' on you?

What if we got them to notice both of us and confuse them? [ It's an idea, but one that she isn't sure will even work. ]
no subject
Maybe if we do that... one of us can lead them somewhere specific. Like into a trap or something.

Well, it's not as if they staged a takeover. Unless the whole thing was planned from the very beginning.

[And the timing is just suspicious, beyond that... He isn't normally paranoid by nature (about these things, anyway), but he can't overlook something like that!]

I suppose. But I don't really care. [ She sounds indifferent. ]
It's not relevant to me, and the only reason why I'd have to protect this place is if my own life is in danger and nobody else's.

[ She clicks her tongue at that, rolling her eyes as she furrows her brow. ] That way of living... helping others... it's disgusting.

Alright. [ She nods to herself more than anything, before thinking... ]
Do you have anything in your inventory?
no subject
[ ... well, that's helpful. ]
That's. That's all.

So there's nothing useful... Ah, well. I guess I'll have to try suplexing them after all.
labrador
Yes. [ A beat. ] To both of those questions.
I've been trying to fix it, but... it hasn't been working very well.
